no surprise she got the start
Iosia had a double-double when leading the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team to a 31-29, 25-20, 25-23 sweep of Cuba in a pool-play match of the FIVB U20 World Championship in Boca del Rio, Mexico.
Iosia had 24 assists and 12 digs, as well as four aces, two kills and a block as the U.S. improved to 1-1 at Arena Veracruz. The Americans take on Serbia (1-1) Sunday in the final Pool C match.

… and she got the win.
For Mav, from the previoius thread: I appreciate your appreciation.
I believe what you are calling ‘selection RPI’ is what I was calling Final RPI. So I think we are on the same page there. Here is the data set I used: http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/volleyball-women/d1/ncaa-womens-volleyball-rpi
If there is a post tournament RPI data set, I’m not sure where to find it. I thought what was posted at the above link was the last hence ‘Final’ RPI data.
The ‘weak’ vs. ‘strong’ in my comments was part objective, part subjective. The objective part was last years performance as reflected in this years schedule. I thought about refining it with other data sets, but their was diminishing returns in my doing a dive into tracking those data sets down or creating them from scratch. I had most everything I needed in an existing spreadsheet, just had to add schedule data, sort, then run the functions. It took more time to figure out how to sum it up in a post, with short somewhat subjective summary interpretations.
Noble, here is the best data set available, which includes selection RPI and the final RPI after the tournament (aka NCAA RPI Archive):
https://extra.ncaa.org/solutions/rpi/default.aspx
You can select Final, Select or Current Report for RPI depending on post-tournament, selection Sunday, or the current state during the season.
For documents, Nitty Gritty gives you the rank order listing of RPI, while the team sheets have the detail and the RPI raw scores. There are other interesting documents like the Final “League Rankings (non-conference)”, which demonstrates the importance of non-conference W-L record to RPI score.
As far as the link you provided, despite what it says, the rank order listing is through the end of the tournament, NOT through games of 11/26/16. This is an error of the site, and you can double check via my link above. To reiterate, not your error, but ncaa.com’s mistake.
For more timely calculations, this estimator is fairly accurate and updates several times on the weekends during the volleyball season:

In case you missed the updated top post:

3. Thank you. More to play with.

c/o Iosia, Nr. 11.: “Three.” 3-0 sweep. Serbia, next up, defeated Cuba 3-2.
I’m not sure, but I don’t think Welsh is in the photo. Maybe she’s the photog now.
I knew Norene would eventually earn the starting spot, no offense to the other setter. Anyone found a link to the USA matches?
Thanks, as always Maverick
