Former UH QB enjoys coaching job
One of the nicest guys — former UH quarterback Taylor Graham — is doing well as the newly promoted quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator at Wheaton College.
Graham was the Thunder’s receivers coach last year.
Wheaton is a Division III school located 28 miles from Chicago. Graham, whose father played in the NFL, was raised in Wheaton.
Graham still follows and roots for the Warriors.

Can it be?!?!
2 in a row!
Kimpira!!!
Yes Wafan, it appears to be so!
Good luck to Graham – wish we could have seen him play a full season or two here.
Nice update on former Warrior. Wishing Taylor Graham all the best.
wafan:
now eye sta hungree for kimipira!!!
my late Dad made the best i’ve tasted — little twist of red chilli pahpa.
Wafan/A-House: is dat kimpira gobo?
Great news about Taylor and his dad!
Maddog50: is Wheaton close to you?
Can we give Kennedy a 2nd chance–is he still in school? Didn’t we give 2nd chances to Pisa & Colt Brennan?
tom-warrior nation:
yep, yep, yep! it’s “gobo” or aka “burdock”.
Mrs and I were watching a food show and this guy takes a tour of Central Park and pulls out this huge ‘gobo’ stalk – looked like the size of a “hasu” – maybe 2 1/2 – 3″ circumference
most mom ‘n pop bento places have gobo, but they are not crunchy!
tom:
we are with you — give KT another chance to show how he has changed since the unfortunate run-in with the cops and can be an excellent example for youngsters
did his girl friend refuse to press charges?
Tom…..HUGE difference between Kennedy and Colt/Pisa.
Second chance to Colt/Pisa was on incidents BEFORE they came to UH, and they stayed out of trouble while here.
Kennedy’s incident occurred while he was a current student-athlete at the school. I believe his standing has nothing to do with Rolo or athletics, the SCHOOL needs to give him a second chance. The seriousness of his incident maybe too large for some to over look.
Tom . . .
Yup. GoBo(ws)!
It is getting closer!!!
Tom Warrior Nation-Wheaton is a few miles away-real close
I disagree that there is a huge difference between Kennedy, Pisa and Colt Brennan. An offense is an offense just as sin is sin but forgiveness is all powerful. Who are we to judge an individual’s heart and spirit. I believe if young Kennedy has been doing his part at redemption than the school should give him some consideration to return to the team.
All the best to Taylor Graham. He and Sean Schroeder endured a lot during their time at UH.
Nothing to do with UH, but a former Kailua HS player was dimissed from the Pitt football team due to disciplinary reasons. Jeremiah Taleni, who was recruited to Pitt by Inoke Breckterfield (now at Wisconsin), was slated to be a team leader at the D-line spot for the Panthers this season. He was in his 5th year.

FYI: Kennedy may or may not be academically eligible, which would make the issue of contrition moot.
Wow Wheaton had an impressive 11-2 record last year and went into the 3rd round in the playoffs.
A quick look at the transaction wire indicates to me that Kean Wong may soon get his shot.
2B Daniel Robertson(10-day DL)
2B Brad Miller(to Durham, then to Charlotte for a rehab assignment)
Also, Jake Bauers wasn’t in the lineup today. I think he may get called up too.
Kean Wong hit his third home run today and upped his average to .276. Good enough, right?
Kennedy and the colt/pisa situations are two completely different issues. KT is not and was not a kid last year and is not a kid right now. He was arrested twice in two weeks (his second being when he was already on suspension) and had a history of domestic violence and felony property destruction. Just because he’s a good football player shouldn’t blind people from that fact.
Rolo has already basically made it known that he’s not interested in KT being back on the team. KT had his chance at UH and blew it for personal reasons. Hopefully he moves on, finishes his degree, and finds some perspective on life. He’ll have opportunities to play on the mainland, if he isn’t doing so already.
Tom…what about the “Lahaina nasubi” ?
Go Warriors!
yes Al; I am afraid the “Lahaina nasubi” created by my mom, who is 86 now, is slowly fading into the sunset; but she will make it for you & other Tsaikos that request it.
It’s the “Aloha” … once a Warrior … always a Warrior …
LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS …!!!!!
Matt Cooper is on the “temporary inactive list”.
Does that mean the Birmingham coaches are working on his mechanics?
Great Morning All!
uh4eva,
Yup. Wheaton is nearly a perennial D3 playoff team. Tough to compete widda oddah top programs in that playoff tourney though…a true gauntlet for the ultimate Champion.
Das one tough cracka…
Das it.
