UH football countdown: 70 days …
If you’re marking time on a wall, there are 70 days until the opening of the Warriors’ training camp.
The Warriors will report on July 26 — exactly a month ahead of the Aug. 26 season opener against UMass. The first practice is set for July 27.
NCAA teams are allowed 29 practices ahead of the opening game. With the recently enacted rule eliminating double-day practices and UH’s Week Zero opener, the timeline allows the Warriors to hold their first practice on July 24. But because Mountain West coaches are required to attend the league’s media days on July 25-26 in Las Vegas, the Warriors pushed back the start of camp. Nick Rolovich, quarterback Dru Brown and linebacker Jahlani Tavai will participate in the West Division’s activities on July 25. They are not required to stay for the Mountain Division’s activities the following day.
GOOD MORNING, HAWAII!
And a big hello and best wishes to AL!
And to ST and DPK!
And where did Keith and Stretch disappear to?
So, did you just say the early game that the UH had been granted was taken away?
UH has early game. They just can’t start camp earlier because of MW media days

The doldrums of summer—its going to be a long 70 days.
Boo,
it helps to think of it as only 10 weeks…

IMUA WARRIORS!
wow, to tomkitaguchi@yahoo.com
you are really a true and devoted fan….and the team needs more dedicated and loyal fans like yourself……..GO BOWS!!
Yup, agree. Need more fans, especially to show up at games. Ferd’s article this morning said 12,156 season tickets sold to date. Last season 14,454 season tickets sold. Ummmh, upward trend? Don’t feel it…..yet. UH needs a good financial season. Getting to 20,000 season ticket sales would be great. Getting 25,000+ fans to show up at Aloha Stadium would be even better. Maybe more fans will show up after the Warriors beat UCLA.
H-Man:
I was kind of wondering about the math, too.
