Go Bows! Too bad its not on regular tv.
Cindy on a different topic, any truth to the rumor that Emma Smith is transferring to Cal? Gosh I hope its not true but if it is I wish her all the best, unless they play us of course :)…
1. haven’t heard that.
I won’t be back to Hawaii until Monday night.
Catching up around the country
Ohio State dodged a bullet last night which would have threw some madness into the at-large scenarios
MIVA semifinals
Ohio State survives in 5, was up 2-0 vs. Ball State, Cardinals come back to tie at 2-2. and led 7-2 and 8-4 in Set 5. Buckeyes win 15-13
Ohio State vs. Grand Canyon Saturday for MIVA automatic.
Lopes upset Lewis Wednesday
very pro UH crowd. usual lineup for Warriors. Fey, Gasman, Tuileta, Franciskovic, Mol, van Tilburg, Rosenmeier
Patch starting, had missed nearly half the season (groin injury.
EIVA semifinal Penn State takes set 1 25-23 over Princeton.
In other EIVA semifinal, St. Francis 3, Sacred Hearts 1
Emily Hartong in the house. sitting with Fey’s family.
Too many service errors, hope that’s not a trend that will continue.
Ugly serving from both sides. BYU up 15-14 at the TTO.
BYU with 4 SEs, UH with 6.
Wil Stanley, who has been injured, nasty brace on his left arm, comes into serve.
Parapunov in to seve for Mol, serves up an aces UH up 20-19. TO BYU
in Conference Carolinas
Friday’s semifinals
Mt. Olive vs. King, Barton vs. Limestone.
Hope UH gets some blocks will be important to slow down BYU’s pins.
Not sure why the warriors block disappears against BYU.
Jarman hits wide. UH up 23-21. TO BYU
well if you are watching you’d see that the BYU hitters, particularly Patch, very high over the block. Jarman is 6-9. UH’s block is bothering BYU enough
Van Tilburg ends it 25-22
Cheeee! taking set 1, lets go Bows! Lets clean up those serves and start blocking! Keep pushing!!!!!! What a difference a neutral sight has!
Yes it’s just a stark contrast to the last match.UH struggled blocking in Provo also.
Huge and smart play by Stijn to end.UH is playing much smarter tonight against BYu.That was crucial for the warriors to win the first set.
it was the first trip to Provo for SVT and several other Warriors. No excuses but.
Penn State up 2-0 on Princeton, 25-19 in S2.
Deja vu. BYU up 15-14 at the TTO
Sander with an ace on the baseline. It’s 18-16. TO UH
2 kills by SVT and it’s 18-18. TO BYU
Fey on the 3 meter. it’s 22-20. TO BYU
BYU with a 3-0 run, up 23-22. TO UH
UH with 2 blocks. wins 25-23.
Wow the block showed up huge that set. Gasman is a beast. Hope UH sweeps. They are on a roll.
CHEEEEEE OMG yea baby yea!!! Up 2, we gotta keep pushing! Good job boys, lets keep it up!!!!
Penn State sweeps Princeton to move into EIVA final vs. St. Francis
It was Gamman and Franciskovic closing on Sander.
Wow what a revenge statement it would be to end BYUs season with a sweep
Somebody is periscoping the stream

31. BYU has a great chance for one of the at large spots.
https://www.pscp.tv/w/1RDGlZEnZZOxL
33.
Oh right forgot about that. I hope they don’t get it though.
another block (6.5) and UH up 11-8. TO BYU
33. as have said, much depends on what happens with Ohio State. if UCI were to beat Long Beach State, who knows what happens then
couple of problems handling Sanders serve and BYU takes the 15-14 lead at the TTO
passing breakdown, darn.
Fey hits long out of the back row. it’s 18-16 TO UH
It’s Rado time! Put him in!
Fey with his 16th kill. it’s 21-20. TO BYU
This R1 is calling BYU’s cheating at the center line, something they didn’t do in provo…
Our pin hitters saved the day today, although the middles were awesome (per usual)
Now just need Irvine to lose and OSU to win Saturday, and UH is lock no matter what happens in the MPSF championship.
OMG!!!!!! Break out the brooms! that was soooo freaking awesome, such sweet revenge!!! Good job boys!!!!!! Congrats Kupono!!!! Great match!!!!
warriors win 25-22
UNO! DOS! ADIOS! As Charlie Wade likes to say. Sweet Sweep! Wat to go Bows!
Sea level kills Cougars…

Great exciting match. Does this means that when they play BYU at Provo is it the altitude, bad ref or both. What ever it is they sure did a good job tonight, hope they can repeat on Sat.
1 I did see somewhere’s that Emma was leaving for Cal. Was hoping that she would compete for a starting job this year but i guess that’s not going to happen. Wish her all the best. Won ‘t be surprised if there is a cpl more transfer’s.
50. Ohio State
still don’t know of the play-in games are at host sites next Saturday or Ohio State on May 2.
52. like i said, didn’t see anything about Smith.
Long Beach wins Set 1 25-19.
live stats here
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=173900
Emma Smith posted on her Instagram yesterday (4/19) announcing she’d be transferring to Cal Berkeley.
Long Beach takes set 2 25-22.
Beach wins 3-0 with at 25-19 victory in Set 3
What I would love to happen. Hawaii wins MPSF, Ohio State Falls in MIVA final. Long Beach and Ohio State get at Large Bids. BYU out. I just don’t like BYU. 😀
Stijn played his worst matches of the year against Long Beach State earlier this season hope saturday is a different story.
#57 If Ohio State wins the MIVA, the LBSU-Hawaii match is for bragging rights, but otherwise meaningless. I rather not take my chances with Ohio State losing.
If OSU beats grand canyon I wouldn’t care if hawaii wins or loses, better to beat Long Beach in two weeks when it matters the most anyway.
I want the Warriors to win it ALL. We paid back BYU for our 2 losses now it’s time to pay back LB!
58. In that match, Stijn was playing on the left side.
Charley Wade and his staff did an excellent job in pinning down BYU pins and strategizing against BYU. Too bad it wasn’t played here but a win is a win and the Bows did it by sweeping BYU…How sweet is that!! Wade deserves much credit for this season success as I have seen him make the adjustments when necessary and today’s game is an example of Wade’s performance as a coach…..his offense is so quick and diverse and he really makes use of ALL of his players and All of his players have bought into his system…..a job well done.
good luck to Emma. Next man up.
I have been longing for a victory over BYU for many years. this team seems to have that killer instinct needed to get the job done. Great announcing by Tiff on the broadcast,he sure gets my heart racing. Very sad about Emma Smith, “she could a been a star” but I think we have that position covered going forward.
Nice win. Just plain fun to watch this team. Don’t think they’ve peaked yet. They can play even better.
Sorry if I missed this in the thread. Is the championship bring televised between UH and LBSU?
http://hawaiiwarriorworld.com/?p=43045
see new thread for Friday.
only confirmation I got on Smith transfer was via her instagram. Guess that is good enough.
As for TV, same deal as Thursday. online stream only.
Perhaps someone will periscope it but believe that is technically illegal as was the request to FB live it.
