Having stated that you felt many changes that needed to be made would not happen unless you left, what are your thoughts of the changes that have occurred at UHAD since you left?
It seems that your personnel make-up has dictated a change in your approach when you have the ball, what needs to happen for your team to get back to where you would entertain never running the ball for an entire game?
Read W Nakama’s story on A Manley’s committment to NMSU, then went to his blog to let him know that he had not written the truth about scholarship offers to him. He did not mention that UH was the first to offer Manley a scholie in his jr year and how he decided to sit on it, thinking that he would have a ton of offers. He then goes on about how UH is not offering anything. What a bunch of crock!!!! Told Wes if he had checked his story out with UH or ST, he would have a better understanding of why Manley is going to NMSU.

Coach,
For me it is neat to see TCU and BSU in the BCS this year. Any chances of seeing three non BCS teams in the future now that you are CUSA? WAC and MWC have had perennial BCS busters, and you’re the only other coach that went to a BCS game that’s in a different conference…

I agree with Whitey on that advertiser story about Manley. I give it an incomplete. Terrible reporting. If you grayshirt you could also choose not to go to school until January where you would be able to attend on scholie. Did he try to see if he could have gotten something in writing like a scholarship agreement? UH has given out those in the past.

Coach Jones,
It’s been two years since you left the Warriors. Would you comment on your reasons for leaving Hawaii for SMU? Was it the money? Was it frustration? Was it the level of players remaining on the team following the Sugar Bowl? Was it the challenge of SMU? Everyone seems to have their own opinion and I think it, right or wrong, detracts from your great accomplishments here.
Thank you for energizing the program and bringing excitement back to Hawaii football. I will be cheering for your team, for your coaches, and for you at the bowl game. Since I don’t have a SMU shirt, I’ll be wearing a Warrior shirt to show my support.

whitey on # 15,
Nakama wasn’t the only writer who got it wrong. Checked out Paul Honda’s article on SB and it said pretty much the same thing. It’s one thing to go by your interviewee’s account, but were those guys in a cave last year or what??
This to me calls attention to a more troubling concern with Manley; his character. There are lies of ‘commision’ and there are also lies of ‘omission’ where a pertinent fact/facts are left out. He was dishonest in saying NMSU was the ONLY scholarship offer. Is he suffering from amnesia? UH was kind to even extend a grayshirt offer since he totally blew off the offer which was extended when he was a Junior.

is it that your recruiting budget is larger,

is it that kids just want to play for the legendary june jones?

Regarding Manley, I also posted to Wes Nakama’s blog on this and it’s not yet there. I disagreed with him in the pre-season on his glowing embelishment on Manley’s skill set. Higgins outplayed him in the Leilehua-St. Louis match up. I said that Manley’s release is average and his feet has really slow speed turnover, basically he plods & his 40 time has to be closer to 5.0. As a comparison, Nasty Nate has really quick foot speed turnover. Kamehameha exploited this and sacked him repeatedly, forced less than 50% completion rate and barely 100 yards in passing.
Too bad he did not jump on Mack’s offer in his junior year. If over 100 D-1 teams did not offer this year, looks like a whole bunch of coaches do not agree with Wes on Manley. But I do wish him well at the next level, just not when NMSU plays the Warriors.

Do you think that Aloha Stadium is a feasible facility for the long term future or does the state need to begin preparing to build a new stadium that can not only serve as UH’s home, but that of the Pro Bowl as well?

Check out a few of the posters here suggesting Manley’s decision as being a bunch of crock. Ridiculous. Whitey should be ashamed of himself.
Having read both articles it seemed Manley opted for the school that gave him a scholarship. What is wrong with that?
And furthermore if he waited in seeing if he could get an big offer from a big time program, so what is wrong with that, too?
New Mexico State coveted Manley and beckoned him into choosing the school by giving him an scholarship offer.
Hawaii could have done the same if they valued his services badly.
So I find it peculiar as to why a poster would dump on Manley in that in the end the kid choose the school that will give him shelter. And an opportunity. Whereas if he choose Hawaii he may have ended up in the cold, like a few of the other recruits that have fallen into oblivion, either by test scores, grades, admission requirements or broken promises.
Me I applaud Manley decision. And hope he does well at New Mexico State. What I wouldn’t do is to dump on the kid like how whitey did in #15.

Good morning Tsaikos…whew, what a day yesterday….again, thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.
Royvic, I don’t think whitey was dumping on Manley in #15. The way I read it, he was dumping more on wes for his write up. It is my understanding that UH made an offer to Manley his junior year but he chose to wait. I know Manley had made it known that he would wait to entertain offers from other “big time” schools but that that never materialized ( I believe he made that statement when he went to the QB camp). What whitey is saying, again and this is how I read it, is that Manley was offered by UH. To say otherwise is disingeniuous.
The boy chose NMSU because he thinks he will start there. It is more than likely he wouldn’t have started here. So he made the decision that he felt was best for his career. Boys do that all over the country. No big deal. No hard feelings. We just move on.

Actually I think Manley made the right choice. He goes to a not so good program, they build around him and in his jr and sr years they play lights out gets more notice from the NFL. I think his odds of getting to the next level are better there than if he went to UH, because I don’t think he would be starting for the next few years or even see the field.
That’ll only happen if Coach Walker is able to recruit a pair of NFL-level OT’s as well.

Royvic . . .
Manley was offered by UH in his junior year. The offer was on the table for a year. Manley made the UH wait while shopping for other offers from D-1 programs. The offer lapsed. UH then offered him a greyshirt. NMSU then offer a scholarship. Manley accepts the offer.
No problem, right?
al
December 22, 2009 10:15 am
agree with your interpretation (jesse)james.
manley was indeed offered a scholie when he was a junior. before uh offered kevin spain they told manley who ever accepted the scholie offer first they would take that qb prospect. at the time, it was mentioned that only one qb would be taken this year.
manley held out and uh moved on offered spain and he later accepted it knowing the same, first come first served.
so now, when there were no other suitors for manley’s services, uh told him that at this point they would give him a scholie but as a greyshirt. for manley, it would have been a great opportunity since he probably would have redshirted in the first place his first year.
he probably would have redshirted during the fall giving him more time to learn the nuances of the offense. by then rausch would have graduated, moniz and austin would be seniors and the competition would be left to manley and the three freshmen of this year’s incoming class.
i think manley did not want to sit out and wanted to play right away. we all know nothing is given and he would have had to earn it on the field anyway.
so an offer was always on the table for manley. first a scholie to come in on this year’s class, an offer as early as his junior year. he was given an opportunity to take the scholie early on but declined wanting to wait it out. meanwhile, as they say in palolo.
“snooze you loose” and that’s what happened.

whew,
round and round the mulberry bush….. good luck to Manley, NMSU is a program that is trying to get back on the map, and he might help them do that. they have great facilities, not a whole lot to do in Las Cruces, but the people are nice and the area is very quiet.
when we visited the campus it was really nice, and the staff are awesome. there is so much land there, that they keep expanding the university. their arena is huge, they hold concerts in there and everything, we met reggie theus, who was coaching basketball at that time.
not all athletes can play for UH, it is a numbers thing, plain and simple. but if they do go away, they still represent 808 and should always strive with a spirit of excellence. you never know when the opportunity to come home might become a reality….so don’t burn bridges that you might have to cross later in life.
good luck coach jones, nice to have you back in the 808 🙂

d1 that’s why I said that they would have to build the program around him. But still I think his chances of getting on the field ASAP is better there than here. I guess that we will see in four years if that was the best choice. But good luck to him anyway. As a matter of fact good luck to all of the boys who move to the next level no matter where they play. I like to see kids succeed.
Coach Jones, great to see you and your football ohana back in the islands! Mundane but important question- what color should we wear to the game to show our support for you and your team?

Congratulations on your success at SMU. I am one of those UH supporters who appreciated your efforts to build the program. Thanks for the great memories.
Question: Is it harder to recruit players to a private institution, especially academically-minded SMU, versus public schools like Texas and UH? I heard Stanford coach, Jim Harbaugh, express the challenges of offering scholarships to top tier talent who may not qualify for admission. Or is it easier to accommodate them because of the private status?

Aloha Coach Jones. Great to see the success you and your staff had at SMU this year. Things are looking up for next year.
With that said, I can’t root for SMU as there is a WAC team involved in the bowl game. The WAC needs as much wins as they can get to start building a reputaion and a bowl win history.
I check the results of SMU games every week and smile everytime I see a win but that’s as far as it goes. This is business and Warrior business comes first! If and when the Warriors get to play SMU it’s, “Good to see you again”, but now time to kick your butt.

Is Mr. Nakama is kissing a little bit to much you know what. To say that Manley is the most college ready Quaterback to ever come out of Hawaii is a bit much. What about Timmy Chang, the Higgins Brother’s, Glenn Freitas, and theres probably a whole bunch more to be named but just can’t think of them right now.
I will say that Manley has a good arm but besides that, the boy needs another couple of year to refine footwork and other things. To think that Manley can start even next year for any D-1 school is very naive thinking imo. Give him a couple of years and maybe NMSU will be looking at a solid Quaterback.
And besides David Graves will be the big time Quaterback that we where looking for so Manley would have been an after thought until our three redshirts left anyways.
And that is the sad truth.

I will say this,
Andrew Manley is a good kid. My cousin was his backup and had nothing but good things to say about Andrew but there was one thing that got me at the beginning, it was when Andrew decided to get new shoes with his name on the back of them. My cousin had said from then that things kind of got to his head. That was the only thing that kind of set off alarms for me. Of course he did not have as good a season as he had during his sophomore and junior year but I will say have fun and enjoy your time at NMSU.
I say to change the CULTURE you gotta set the tone. Whitey, thank you for setting the tone. Perception is a major factor in recruiting. Not for this one. He was gone before he said he was gone. He was dragging his feet for sooo long.
I keep thinking of Bulla’s beast. He wanted to be a Warrior. Its guys like him that we gotta keep. The good ballers with BIG HEARTS who wanna be Warriors. gotta make the CULTURE right for them. meaning, players who have a chance upfront to be Warriors should RELISH the
opportunity to be a Warrior.

“He then goes on about how UH is not offering anything. What a bunch of crock!!!!”
I don’t understand this statement. Are you referring to Wes or to Manley?
I’ve have a hard time identifying of who you are ridiculing here. Surely I hope it’s not the kid.
Wes? For writing an article that’s pretty much standard. And where it’s apparent that Wes is taking direct quotes from Manley.
Or are you directing it towards Manley for not jumping on a scholarship offer in his junior year?
The bottom line is that, according to Manley, there’s some ambiguity on the grayshirt offer. And he opted else where, which is better suited for him.
So the question to whitey is why do you think that Wes is not forthcoming in his article. For he accuses the writer of not “telling the truth”.
How I see it Wes reported what’s happening in the present.
I’m sure he could have asked Manley “why this” and “why that” as to why Manley didn’t accept UH scholarship offer in his junior year. Wes also could have included this fact in the article. But for myself, how I see it, I credit Wes for having the wherewithal for omitting this information from the article as it does shed some embarrassment away from Manley for not accepting Hawaii’s offer in the first place. This is a classy, don’t you think?
For whitey to go off in the manner in which he did, in view of what Wes wrote, I have a hard time accepting.
And this has been discussed on SH, WSN at times, but nothing official has ever come from the AD’s office.
I want to see the Paniolo Trophy in the Football Trophy case.
Jim Donovan, why is that trophy still in the hands of Wyoming?
Have you made attempts to schedule games with Wyoming?
Are you OK with it NOT being in the State of Hawai`i?
This is another round of ammo that the coaches can fire off to recruits….another feather in UH’s meager hat.
And on the topic of RIVAL things….why has nothing been crafted for UH and Fresno?
What about BYU? A map of the North Shore would be symbolic. lol
Look at Boise St and Fresno St…they got a trophy to fight over….and UH has been playing Fresno St LONGER…since like the 1930’s?
So once again I ask, what is the UHAD doing to ensure that playing The University of Hawai`i MEANS SOMETHING. NOT to just us from Hawai`i, but people from other places.
This will help when University Presidents, AD’s, and the media cast judgement on UH and it’s place among it’s peers.

royvic, interpet it anyway you want to, but most understood what i said. if you don’t, ain’t going to worry about it.
UH’s band is going to play Nevada’s fight song all game during the Hawaii Bowl? I hope that Nevada is paying UH a decent fee for that.
Nevada isn’t sending its marching band to Honolulu, but the University of Hawaii’s marching band is learning the Wolf Pack’s fight song to make the lei’d silver and blue feel right at home.
One of Oklahoma’s best players just got his application for a 6th year turned down. If I’m not mistaken, UH hasn’t even submitted the applications for a 6th year for the 3-4 players that will be applying, but other schools (Oklahoma this year, Texas last year) find out the result of the 6th year decision before the season is even over.
If things could be this efficient at UH, Blaze would have know the result of his 6th year petition and could have possibly came back. And other Warriors would not need to miss spring practice or even part of the season while waiting for an answer from the NCAA.
Applying early seems like the important thing–waiting until January or later to apply for the 6th year means that UH’s players need to wait for the other applications to be processed. Applying early when nobody else has applied means that the NCAA can make their decision quickly.
Coach Bob Stoops confirmed Monday that senior middle linebacker Ryan Reynolds has lost his appeal to the NCAA for a hardship waiver that would have given him an extra year of eligibility because of injuries.
Instead, Reynolds, who overcame three major knee injuries while in college, will play his final game as a Sooner in the Sun Bowl.

Coach Jones – how’s the grinds in Texas?
Aloha Coach.
Having stated that you felt many changes that needed to be made would not happen unless you left, what are your thoughts of the changes that have occurred at UHAD since you left?
top ten
Coach Jones,
It seems that your personnel make-up has dictated a change in your approach when you have the ball, what needs to happen for your team to get back to where you would entertain never running the ball for an entire game?
Good morning Tsaikos
Coach Jones,
Who do you feel should have won the Davey O’ Brien Award this season? Any favorites for next season?
Coach Jones,
How much does the trend of increasing size and athleticism of Cornerbacks alter your offense?
What about the same changes in DE’s?
Have a great show…
HiHo….
Morning Tsaikos!

Parking may not be an issue and it’s a walk over the bridge, but it’s free.
If anyone wants it, email me at hoherb at yahoo dot com with your address. I’ll put it in the mail today.
Oh, btw, say, “Hey!” to “W” for me….
Coach Jones: How much difference does money make in fielding a team at SMU vs UH????
Aloha Coach,
While it was sad to see you go, I am glad to read about you and your succes again! It would have been great to see our team play against SMU! Had that match happen, how would you have defended our version of the Run-N-Shoot? I do hope that you will continue to show your great support for Hawaii’s program even still. Once a Warrior, always a Warrior right?
right on. whitey. right on. call a crock when you see it.
that is one of the big things that i take into account when choosing whether or not to take a case. 😀 the crock factor. 😆
then comes the money.
have a nice day Tsaikos.
i’ll let you know tonight when i coming. gonna get my Vegas kid on it. 😀
Merry Christmas.
Coach,
For me it is neat to see TCU and BSU in the BCS this year. Any chances of seeing three non BCS teams in the future now that you are CUSA? WAC and MWC have had perennial BCS busters, and you’re the only other coach that went to a BCS game that’s in a different conference…
Will be rooting for your continued success!
Coach Jones,
Any chance that we could possibly see SMU play some regular season games agains UH?
Conference USA is a non-BCS entity. Can you share the sentiment – from a SMU and Conference USA perspective, on the present structure of the BCS and it’s distribution of revenue?
BTW – Congratulations on getting the SMU football program turned around and on the right track!
coach jones…
first of all, thank you for bringing our team back from the depths. i (we) truly miss you and what you brought to this state.
in all your candidness, if the opportunity ever presented itself again would you contemplate a return to the university of manoa?
best of luck on thursday we’ll be pulling for you.
coach jones
should the big ten (plus one) expand as they say they would like to…
who do you see joining that conference and how much of a trickle down impact will it have on the wac and conference usa?
coach jones…
besides the glaring differences of budgetary restraints can you tell us some of the significant differences from the state run university of hawaii versus the privately owned and operated southern methodist university?
please share with us some of the things between have nots and the haves.
Good luck to you Coach!
santa is in the house!
Coach Jones are you having any plans of playing Texas in the future?
whitey on # 15,
Nakama wasn’t the only writer who got it wrong.
UH was kind to even extend a grayshirt offer since he totally blew off the offer which was extended when he was a Junior.
coach jones….
with at least 22 verbal commits thus far, it is obvious that your recruiting philosophy has changed dramatically
or
is it just that it is easier to recruit at smu,
or
is it that your recruiting budget is larger,
or
is it that kids just want to play for the legendary june jones?
June,
How would you grade Coach Mack’s first two seasons at UH?
Aloha June Jones,
Considering the state of the facilities and the administration at the time of your final years at UH, how much do you think has changed at UH and do you believe that things at UH athletics will take a more progressive approach instead of a reactionary one with the new athletic director?
whitey, didn’t see your post on Wes’ blog. Maybe it’s awaiting moderation? But yes, Wes’ love affair with Manley is getting a little embarrassing, and I like Wes!

Coach Jones,
Do you think that Aloha Stadium is a feasible facility for the long term future or does the state need to begin preparing to build a new stadium that can not only serve as UH’s home, but that of the Pro Bowl as well?
On another note, what you do think of the recent revelation of the use of hostess’ by Tennessee’s Lane Kiffin? Do you think that is something that would help UH be more successful in attracting top talent to the islands?

Good mid-morning, all!
Actually I think Manley made the right choice. He goes to a not so good program, they build around him and in his jr and sr years they play lights out gets more notice from the NFL. I think his odds of getting to the next level are better there than if he went to UH, because I don’t think he would be starting for the next few years or even see the field.
wafan!
Found a stray WiFi connection, I see…. 😉
Pomai,
That’ll only happen if Coach Walker is able to recruit a pair of NFL-level OT’s as well.
Royvic . . .
Manley was offered by UH in his junior year. The offer was on the table for a year. Manley made the UH wait while shopping for other offers from D-1 programs. The offer lapsed. UH then offered him a greyshirt. NMSU then offer a scholarship. Manley accepts the offer.
No problem, right?
agree with your interpretation (jesse)james.
manley was indeed offered a scholie when he was a junior. before uh offered kevin spain they told manley who ever accepted the scholie offer first they would take that qb prospect. at the time, it was mentioned that only one qb would be taken this year.
manley held out and uh moved on offered spain and he later accepted it knowing the same, first come first served.
so now, when there were no other suitors for manley’s services, uh told him that at this point they would give him a scholie but as a greyshirt. for manley, it would have been a great opportunity since he probably would have redshirted in the first place his first year.
he probably would have redshirted during the fall giving him more time to learn the nuances of the offense. by then rausch would have graduated, moniz and austin would be seniors and the competition would be left to manley and the three freshmen of this year’s incoming class.
i think manley did not want to sit out and wanted to play right away. we all know nothing is given and he would have had to earn it on the field anyway.
so an offer was always on the table for manley. first a scholie to come in on this year’s class, an offer as early as his junior year. he was given an opportunity to take the scholie early on but declined wanting to wait it out. meanwhile, as they say in palolo.
Mele Kalikimaka!
#60 – AMEN!
Coach Jones when u coming back?
#64- He’s here already 😆 HiHo
Okay, parking pass is spoken for.
Coach Jones,
Congratulations on your success at SMU.
Oldie:
Tickets for Shane are at Will Call. Threw in an extra pair. He should have four for tonight.
Thanks, Stephen.
Nice Christmas bonus!
It is great to see JJ back in town. With that said….
GO WOLFPACK!!
GO WAC!!
Coach Jones:
Do you still give your players a lot of leeway when dealing with the media and with self-discipline? Dan Kelly recently complained that Coach Mack takes it a bit too far, while Colt Brennan said that at the Sugar Bowl, the team should have been on “lock down” more of the time. What are your thoughts on this?
anybody else having problems viewing the show?
I was having problems but I refreshed several times and then it worked again…
Hey al
You got connections at the HA?
Might be nice if they had a daily blog on Kanekoa’s spring training. His mom worked with me for a number of years.
Muck like PM on the PGA tour.
Whats up with the show? On off herky jerky. I hope they do a better job with the replay.
show ended but wtf neva even got to see a full 3 minutes only interrupted blurps here and there then it was over.
Just got back from the doc. and camping on the show site.
The Redskins blog is brutal today after the loss to NY. One of the funnier lines about Jason Campbell was ” trade him for an 8th round draft pick”. Hope all turns out well for Colt.
Tough decision on Manley. I think they let a great local talent get away.
Like the move UNLV made today going with Hauck, a young talented, no nonsense coach.
gotta love a guy who doesn’t give a rats ass about the media and just wins football games..
Howzit Everybody,
I had an idea,
Since we lost that kid from Washington to Wyoming why don’t we give a call to one of our former players now playing at Rolo’s old stomping grounds. I’m sure he would be willing to come back to play with sholarship offer in hand. Oh and to spice things up a little, this kid was also first team all-conference.
Al,
What you think about my post #81.
Would be nice to have another alaskan on the UH football team
Still can’t see the video- can anyone else?
Aloha Coach Jones. Great to see the success you and your staff had at SMU this year. Things are looking up for next year.
With that said, I can’t root for SMU as there is a WAC team involved in the bowl game. The WAC needs as much wins as they can get to start building a reputaion and a bowl win history.
I check the results of SMU games every week and smile everytime I see a win but that’s as far as it goes. This is business and Warrior business comes first! If and when the Warriors get to play SMU it’s, “Good to see you again”, but now time to kick your butt.
Manley had a tough decision to make and I think he made a good one. Based on what I think his goals are, he put himself in a good position to acheive them. Good luck to him but when you come to Aloha Stadium, you will feel the smack from the Warrior Defense!
Christmas Wish- I’m hoping we can shore up the Oline and Dline and bing a few more burners in at wide out.
left at 12:20 and just returned to catch the replay of the video with meat june but still not ready, whats up with dat?
whitey,
you sure got mr nakama going with your post! whew…….always nice to have 2 sides to the story
Bulla,
Maybe a little “bro-mance” in the house? 😯
All I gotta say,
I hope Manley does a serviceable job NMSU and I hope he gets everything that he wants out that experience but what he has said and want he has done just sounds a little fishy.
Oh and I hope when we meet them we show what he missed out on because Mr Nakama feels that UH missed out on alot of talent. LOL
ST on espn radio now.
Coach Holtz kept mentioning the need to have a rugby-style kicker on the team in the Maaco Bowl game. Yay!…Dunnachie!
Still waiting for the Warrior Beat video to play…
ST ~ Is SMU having a walk-through tomorrow at Aloha Stadium? Time? The Swap Meet is going on in the morning. (You can get in for 5 HI-5 recyclable containers.)

#82…i know who you speak of and i believe inspite of achieving some jc honors he may still be a project. anyway, that’s what the lil birdie says.
I read Wes Nakama’s response to whitey’s rant. The “I just wrote what he told me” excuse doesn’t cut it. Having said that the article should not reflect badly on Manley since he didn’t write it.
al that june was meat bhwaaaaaaaaaaaaa
kama some others blaine gaison, alex kaloi, garret gabriel, jason gessler (?), darnell arseno (?) spelling bad but just to name a few others.
Geez, I sure hope you guys are not talking about my Aunty June. She was a looker 60+ years ago.

wafan that was aunty pinau come on get it right. to much living on the bigger island. wait you neva know izzy was ur bro and you taught my friends son, mmm kden I get some pill for you as soon as I can remember where stay. bwhaaaaaaaaa
maybe i should have been more polite to Wes’s blog since his dad’s family is from McGerrow Camp, just a hop, step, and a jump from my home, but when you read the article and read his blog, it says basically that UH may regret it or did not offer a scholie, and so they may regret it. That got my bald head steaming cause when you are a respected writer for the media, I expect articles that are truthful without insinuations. UH did their job and that is the truth and Manley signed with NMSU which is also true. That is why I said I wish A Manley the best and hope he has a good career at NMSU.
royvic, i have nothing to be ashamed of when I wrote the post, DO YOU????
What happened to Koakane™? It seems like he lost his a__ somewhere….. heheheheh!!! 😆
100ish tix. Ouch.
BYU kicking some beaver butt.
“Responsible journalism” attempts to present a balanced story – even if it takes alittle bit of effort (research) on ones part to validate a story. Tabloids can and do publish anything… as do lazy columnists that then irresponsibly deflect blame and hints of questionable character on the subject. – IMHO 🙄
The good ballers with BIG HEARTS who wanna be Warriors. gotta make the CULTURE right for them. meaning, players who have a chance upfront to be Warriors should RELISH the
opportunity to be a Warrior.
bhf2, I would have loved to see the beast at UH. One thing, he can shine some fuud!!!
bhf2, by the way, how is Loeffler doing??
whitey this is what you wrote–

Read W Nakama’s story on A Manley’s committment to NMSU, then went to his blog to let him know that he had not written the truth about scholarship offers to him. He did not mention that UH was the first to offer Manley a scholie in his jr year and how he decided to sit on it, thinking that he would have a ton of offers. He then goes on about how UH is not offering anything. What a bunch of crock!!!! Told Wes if he had checked his story out with UH or ST, he would have a better understanding of why Manley is going to NMSU.
Is that Ariel sitting behind the UH bench?
Good for her…
bhf2 and whitey,
keep your fingers crossed, Christmas is right around the corner and you never know what might pop up under the tree……
mahalo for the props for ‘the beast’, he leaves it on the field every time, all the time.
Howzit gangeez!
Bows looking pretty decent tonight.
Bulla,
I think we will all like what is under our tree’s this christmas and I gotta say this present really worked hard and deserves to be under the tree.
I’m thinking it will be a very happy christmas and a happy new year for all. =)
Been thinking.
Oh and well I’m at it,
I would like to say happy holidays to all just in case I’m not able to blog the next couple of days.
Hey! Just saw Kazz on Hawaii News Now’s coverage of the Diamond Head Classic. Video is actually ESPNU’s feed…cool!!!

Prayers and positive thoughts to Cat and her family on the passing of her grandma.
royvic, interpet it anyway you want to, but most understood what i said. if you don’t, ain’t going to worry about it.
UH’s band is going to play Nevada’s fight song all game during the Hawaii Bowl? I hope that Nevada is paying UH a decent fee for that.
Congrats to the Bows on their win tonight. Now, to run over them Rebels tomorrow.
Condolences to Cat and her family on the loss of her grandma.

Lots of prayers and kisses to your mom for a speedy recovery.
She is two doors away from LTUHF.
I will be her secret Santa.
It was nice seeing you at the hospital.
LTUHF is slowly (minute-by-minute) recovering. Whew!!!
Prayers to LTUHF & ‘ohana on his path towards full recovery! 😀
brew808,
Oops! I’ll go and correct that on my archive.
I hope that both LTUHF and (J)J’s Mom have a full and speedy recovery.
“lighting” is certainly a by product of “lightning” so the statement/title is correct – just not as impressive…. 😀
103 minutes before I can wish somebody’s mother a happy b-day…. 🙄
hey βρεω808! ain’t it passed your bedtime?
how’s your tarheels doing? 😀 I won’t rag on you too much since the Hoyas lost to Old Dominion. grrrrrrr….

Steve M.
What a surprise! Your Mom was in the ICU waiting room today looking for me. She is so kind to bring some dim sum and other goodies to me.
I want to thank you, too, as you had something to do with it.
Much Mahalos again to you!
The Tarheels are very young and are going thru growing pains. They’ll be much better by mid-Jan, and very dangerous by tourney time. Actually the ACC is struggling…. and yes, (cough), the Beeg East appears to be a fairly solid in the early season. 😳
SteveM – sounds like the (prize) apple not falling far from the tree…. 😀
Condolences to Cat on the passing of her grandmother.
Prayers for (J)J’s mom and LTUHF. Hope they both recover soon.
Hiya!
