Nice job, Sydney. Long day for her as part of the SandBows. played at Flight 6.
I thought they started off the match a little sloppy but they started to pull things together as the match progressed.
Stijn continues to be a BEAST on the right. The connection between Franciscovic and Gasman is still remains a work in progress but Franciscovic and Mol are connecting extremely well.
We are playing well, and I hope we can continue to work on our connections in the middle. I like our transition plays. Do we ever know the results of the whole “vote for the UH player” thing that was happening last week sometime? I voted, but I might have missed someone mentioning somewhere the results or whatever came of it? See u tomorrow nite, wear green!
Was having a bad week, Warrior’s MVB put a smile back on my face. Great job tonight StijnVT. Good luck to the Beach team Saturday.
Amazing team to watch. Mol is jumping 6 inches higher that last year. I have held a grudge over the “hat switch” pulled by Tui a couple years age but you have got to love the athleticism he brings to the team. So alls well that ends well Tui, you are home now.
what up with the players with their hands behind their heads before the serve. I am assuming for breathing?
hmmm… Sydney Shinn, same young lady playing beach VB??? If so, kudos, great commentary.
54. Protect the back of their head in case of an errant serve.
Big thank-you for those posting running commentary on the game!
@54. I believe you’re asking an honest question that I hope I’m giving the correct answer to. Many servers are bombing their deliveries at 60+ mph. The front row players are protecting themselves from possible concussions. I’ve never seen anyone actually get hit, but I’ve seen some heaters hit low in the net. Could have hurt someone with a direct hit.
Will Stanford’s Jordan Ewert be playing Saturday? Commentator’s said he has been out due to a rolled ankle. He is purportedly one of their better players.

new thread up for beach links Saturday
yes, Sydney part of the beach team as mentioned in No. 49
54. Warriors did it under Wilton, something the late Carl McGown brought in from the national team. believe it is in part to have arms raised up to prepare for block as well as protection.
58 Ewert did not make this trip or last week to Penn State.
