Thursday check in
A little rainy in Manoa
Indoor Wahine had weight room workouts this afternoon. They also had 6 a.m. practice Wednesday. Sibley said it’s been hard doing both indoor and beach but she’s enjoying it, said she feels beach is helping her indoor game.
Saw coach Shoji in the arena. He looked good.
He said the other day has two more weeks of radiation and that he’s feeling fine.
MPSF scores from Wednesday
*UCSB 3, Csun 0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-21)
UC Irvine 3, ST. FRANCIS (PA) 0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-15)
UCLA 3, Lewis 1 (25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18)

it’s unfortunate that the indoor and beach overlap. It much take a toll on their academics, not to mention their bodies.
Glad to hear coach Shoji is feeling fine.
LMU upsets #9 Stetson 3-2.
Came down to the wire as Court 1 determined the match in three sets.
Live stats link for today’s Stetson-UH match:

UH flights 4 and 5 have 1-0 set leads to start off the day.
Kan/Homayun sweep at Court 4
Zalapony/Ozee fall in 3 at Court 5
Match tied at 1-1
IMO the beach season shouldn’t start till April and finish after June( like college baseball) instead of May. It would help the midwest/eastern teams too with weather.
UH defeats Stetson, currently at 3-1, with flight 1 in progress
Tough loss for Tucker/Martin as they fall in the 3rd set 18-16. Hopefully they can get back up and beat LMU’s #1 team
Interesting. Iosia is playing with Zalopany on Court 4, while Kan/Homayun play Court 5. Both won their first sets.

new thread up for Friday
1. if some of the indoor players weren’t playing beach, it wouldn’t be an overlap. UH continues to move to beach-only players.
5. college baseball starts in February.
7. it will be interesting LMU has Sponcil back.
