UH football: Two-for-none deal
Kelii “KK” Padello, the state’s top defensive player as a Mililani High senior in 2013, has joined the Warriors.
Padello is reunited with his younger brother, Kaimana Padello, as a rush end. Both are walk-ons.
KK, who earned the nickname because his older brother could not pronounce Kelii as a child, amassed 26 sacks in 12 games in 2013. He went to Southern Oregon for a year before enlisting in the Army Reserve.
He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Tight end Davasyia Hagger has decided to transfer to pursue a basketball career.
Hagger is the answer to the trivia question: Who caught the first UH pass in 2016?

First once again! Welcome KK!
Morning,
Anyone hear if Pagano coming home? Read he transferring out of Clemson
I’m surprised he doesn’t apply for the NFL draft.
He’s a military brat. Hawaii is not “home” to him. He won’t be coming here.
GOOD MORNING, HAWAII!
If Pagano was not a first string player at Clemson, he may not be one at a Pac12 school unless the school needs a veteran as compared to a freshman,not-very-used underclassman,
What he needs is a guaranteed first string status somewhere even if it is a Division II achool where he can show the NFL scouts he is worthy of consideration.
UH should be considered – big fish, small pond.
Why didn’t Hagger tryout for UHs Basketball team? We could use all the help we can get and he already had the football scholarship
Is Hagger a D-I level basketball player?
Can always use a “sackman”…
With Hagger leaving does that free up a scholarship ???
LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS !!!!!
Always aloha to those who come and go.
Aloha Davasyia. BB is fun. Can understand your choice.
Somebody recruited you?
Hagger had size and potential but couldn’t catch anything.
truegreen @ 4: Apparently, Pagano lived in Hawaii since he was 7 and until his graduation from Moanalua in 2013. That’s half his life. But doubt he’d pass up any Pac-12 offer to come “home.”
The Padellos both had all-state careers at Mililani, and they’re cut from the same mold: undersized but tenacious and tough. Add two quality walk-ons from the local ranks.
Two Padellos! Awesome! A couple of hamahs with non stop motors and extraodinary quickness – one or both will be making big plays for the Warriors!!!
Couldn’t Ursua help out the basketball team, kinda like the Ostrowski kid did?
Scott Pagano comes from a military family?? Despite graduating from Moanalua, he was not born here so his heart was never for Hawaii. Even though his Clemson head coach said Pagano want to be closer to home (I presume Hawaii), his heart is in one of the West Coast school.
No kidding….closer to Hawaii but he want to play for a West coast team…5 or 6,000 miles from home.
