Hawaii appears to be going with the 2 OPP lineup we hinted at a few weeks ago. Parapunov on the right, van Tilburg on the left. also starting are Matautia, Mol, Franciskovic, Gasman, Tuileta. No Fey. We’ll see how long this lineup lasts.
UH up 15-11 at the TTO.
tried to listen to radio. guy is really bad.
streaming working for anyone?
Van Tilburg aced by DeFalco, Beach on a 4-0 run, ties it at 15. TO UH
Fey in for Van Tilburg with Beach leading 17-16.
Matautia blocked. Beach leads 19-17. TO UH
3. working for me

who should i subscribe to on youtube? it’s not working
Parapunov with his fifth kill, gives UH set point at 24-23. TO Beach.
8. don’t know if you need a subscription. link should be automatic
UH wins 25-23 on a triple block on ‘DeFalco
Fey remains in for VT in Set 2.
UH: on a 3-0 run, leads 13-10. TO Beach
Matautia with his seventh kill UH up 20-14. TO Beach
That was a quick foot save.
Parapunov gives UH set point at 24-19. Beach has closed to 24-21. TO UH
Parapunov ends it with his 10th kill. 25-21
Set 3 tight with nine ties through 17. Parapunov hitting error gives the 49ers their first lead at 18-17 and Matautia blocked to make it 19-17 Beach. TO U H
Parapunov blocked, hitting error by Mol. it’s 21-17. TO UH
Van Tilburg in for Fey, kill by Parapunov ends the bleeding at 21-18.
Ace by Parapunov, kill by Franciskovic pulls the Warriors to 21-20. TO Beach
UH holds off one set point, not a second. Deflate with his 14th kill ends it 25-23. on to Set 4
Darn can’t believe we gave away so many points with that baby serve by Butler ugh.
I think Stijn needs to play more, he can be more productive as that match goes on. lost oppurtunity in that third set.
Was that Pesto sitting on the end line?
BG sitting on the same side.
Parapunov with his 18th, Gasman 8-1-15. UH up 10-5. TO Beach
49ers take their first lead at 16-15. TO UH
Parapunov blocks DeFalco. UH back up at 18-17. TO 49ers.
Yes, Pestolesi is next to Gimmilaro. on the Hawaii baseline.
Parapunov blocked. 49ers up 21-20. TO UH
Mol sure is getting juked a lot…
…and UH playing sloppy…
lefts are struggling lately especially fey and Wade isn’t going to his depth.
Mol is jumping with the setter way to much, he’s not offensive.
Fey ties it at 24. TO Beach
that looked like a throw by Yould ugh.
we need a big block here
We need Stijn in the game period IMO
UH just gave that one away…I don’t have a good feeling about set 5…
Parapunov hits wide then blocked. Beach wins 33-31. on to Set 5
UH’s block needs to get it together, they have been porous lately, the block was strong in the first two sets, also the lefts are struggling offensively , not sure why Coach Wade isn’t giving Brett a chance or letting Stijn play again. Long beach has seemed to figure Rado out.
Beach up 8-4 at the switch.
Looks like LBSU upped their game & UH did not…
The long beach coach switched their OH2 and he sparked them, UH is not using it’s depth.
Darn UH can’t block anything. Enseng having his way pretty much.
UH is done…They just let this one slip away…
Franciskovic with the lift. it’s 10-6. TO UH
45. have no idea why Brett wasn’t inserted, Fey’s passing is off lately and he is hitting negative.
Also I would have tried a 6-2 joe setting the backrow coming in for Rado and Stijn in the front instead of Jennings. gotta try something.
Deflate with the kill makes it 13-8. TO UH
47. hard to run a 6-2 when you are limited in subs. it’s not the women’s game.
lets see Enseng is unstoppable, our best blocker at the pins Stijn stays on the bench while Enseng kills us, ugh,
DeFalco ends it 15-10.
Well, first real test. At least we now know we should be Top 5. Oh well, hopefully we can win next time.
Rematch on Friday. Go Bows!

Spoke to Wade. As all observed, when they moved Ensing from left to right, UH had no answer. Did ask about van Tilburg. He said they’ve been wanting to get both Parapunov and van Tilburg in the lineup but when van Tilburg started slow, they brought in Fey. Didn’t get the offense out of either. Van Tilburg was 3-3-10, Fey 3-4 17. Wade said he thought his three freshmen did well in their first collegiate road trip but will have to catch up on the speed of the game. He said The Beach offense was very quick and Ensing looked like he was hitting front row he was that quick on the D.
Very disappointing loss especially because Uh should have probably won in four and every match is so important in the mpsf, I think long beach is beatable and isn’t as good as they were last season but they made great adjustments after being down 0-2 and UH did not:(
Rado was great but made crucial hitting errors at key times hope he learns quickly and that Stijn plays better Friday we need him on the floor.
“It ain’t depth unless you use it.”
Would’ve been nice to see Rosey get in there on the left. He came in for Fey in whatever previous match and showed he can ball. I’d like to see that depth used in these matches that actually count for something.
56. Yep what most impressed with Brett was his passing, Fey had a passing breakdown and Wade should have tried Brett IMO.
Anyway in good news Nikki seems to have been added back on the beach roster.
#55, 56 and #57. Ditto.
Yea man, give Brett a chance!

agree with those who thought they should go to the bench more
but they didn’t So we’ll see if anything changes tonight.
