I see Liva on the floor, is he red-shirting?
UH up 15-14 at the two
1. Liva has been in practice all of 2 days.
Mol with the overpass. it’s 18-15 TO GCU
Don’t know when we’ll see Parapunov. He was supposed to have an MRI on his knee today.
Van Tilburg and Gasman on the block it’s 22-17. TO Lopes.
@cindy as Liva attends more and more practices is he allowed to play this season (im asking cuz I don’t know if he has to sit out for joining kinda late?)
Gasman blocked then hits long. UH leads 23-22. TO warriors
6. he is a walk-on for VB. it’s not late. he’s almost in the same boat as Tuileta who didn’t join the team until Dec. 28.
UH wins 26-24.
6. he would be allowed to play if he makes the team. not sure why you think he’s have to sit out.
Wasn’t sure how that works out, walk-ons and stuff, thanks for the info
GCU up 15-11 at the TTO. they brought i Solarig at MB. not sure why.

‘Lopes up 15-12 at the TTO
Hawaii finishes it off 25-23.
Hawaii didn’t look as sharp as they did last week and GCU plays solid defence.
Hawaii is deep in every position except perhaps Middle. I’m a little worried about the backup MB position. Solbrig is just not looking that sharp right now.
Impressed with ‘Lopes defense. The ‘Lopes libero #17 from hawaii (moanalua) is good, and they got 2 other Kamehameha grads on the squad too, good for them, 808 representin’. Really impressed at how Matautia has transitioned from h.s. to collegiate volleyball.
Rayson, I was thinking the same thing, Solbrig looked a little lost when he first entered and I’m not trying to just trash him, I’m sure he’s a great player, just probably hasn’t had much game experience?
GCU did run a quick middle but they wanted to give Solbrig a shot after Mol played so much last week. I would cut him some slack. To say he’s not sharp after playing in his 4th and 5th set this season seems a little harsh.
I agree cindy, that was my train of thought, giving him some reps. Fey looked like he was struggling just a little bit tonite. Credit to ‘Lopes defense, they were good at picking up balls tonite.
As mentioned, too many self-inflicted errors. A low-energy mid-week outing for the team and the crowd. GCU played nice defense, touched a lot of balls on the block, passed well, had a nice middle attack, and their libero was money. Another outing like last night and the Lopes might steal a set or two and maybe the match.
