Moving day
The Warriors practiced for nearly 2 hours this morning, then prepared to check into the Moana Surfrider this afternoon.
They also received gifts from the Hawaii Bowl — a backpack full of swag, as well as credit that they may use to acquire items from a gift room.

Former UH wideout Billy Ray Stutzmann attended today’s practice.
This past season, Stutzmann served as receivers coach at Emory & Henry. Tim Chang, who was E&H’s offensive coordinator, has been hired as Nevada’s receivers coach.
By the way, Anguay channeled his inner R&B, singing “Me and Mrs. Jones” during last night’s karaoke party. Anguay’s father used to be the bass player for the Krush.
* * * * *
They were known as the The Top of the Hill Gang, a group of UH fans who attended every home practice.
One of the most devoted was Raymond Onosaki, who was grandfather to Billy Ray Stutzmann and Craig Stutzmann. Onosaki recently passed away. Deepest sympathies to his family.

Nick Rolovich, whose father is a firefighter/electrician, knows a few rope tricks:

Maybe Rolo plans to play “Rope A Dope”…
(…a strategy in which a boxer covers up against the ropes to make the opponent exhausted throwing punches so that he cannot defend effectively late in the fight and is thus defeated.)
🙂
Wonder if they still those silly Christmas gifts:
Soap On A Rope?
…if the still SELL those silly…
boy, my computer just keeps dropping letters…
the = they
SteveM ~ Aloha, and kudos for all you do to create a sense of community, continuity, and connection on the Warrior Beat, even among the habitual lurkers. : )
Many thanks for thinking of me. I still live between Santa Fe and Los Alamos, and will email my contact info in the next week or two, if that’s all right. It’s nice to think that there are some other UH fans up the hill (or, as they say around here, the Hill).
In the meantime, Season’s Greetings & Happy Holidays to all!
Wafan come on by!
Small world….Andrew Ho’s uncle is Edwin Ramones, lead singer of the Krush.
Go BOWS. I’ll be at the game 🙂 My last one as a soccer/football mom.
Guud Evening Tsaikos…Bootiful Evening.
Yup, Edwin still banging the ivories. Bring the house down when he does Krush songs.
Great news for Timmy but wow there really spreading out the positions coaching nowadays when he is an “inside” wide receivers coach. Timmmay!
What happened to the “Fabulous” part of the Krush?
What ever happened to Shnazz????
I think they’re alone now?

Guud Morning Tsaikos…Bootiful Day!
ST .. The “Fabulous” parts are still around but scattered across the USA. Some still playing music here and there.
Christmas Wish…some mean, mobile and hostile OL and DL kind of guys. Wishing the recruiting trail will take us to the next level.
IMUA WARRIORS!
NSF:
maybe ST can act as the intermediary for UH coaching staff and recruits by accepting their scholarship commitment and placing the news in his columns since this is a “dead period” — who the heck came up with that phrase???
“dead period” also means a recruit cannot make contact with the Star-Advertising to announce his accepting a scholarship? isn’t it only for coaches to keep their nasty hands in their pockets?
some beat writers say a “zebra” can call a penalty on every play – OK, will accept that, but why, in certain games, the “zebras” mostly call penalties against UH???
oh, they “blinked” when the opponent committed a penalty – now, now UH fans, we all saw the “folding” or pass interference or chop block, or block in the back
Maddog50:
just our family’s way to thank you for being such a solid Warrior fan!
SteveM:
is not 99 Club in that part of Texas?
he has not posted for a while — hope his is OK — same for Alanbama and Committed Road Warrior – Garret — and all the Tsaikos from the past!
Ipu Man:
and, here I thought only I had trouble with computers!
today must be my lucky day as I sent an email early this morning and something I scanned, sent, and deleted 2 days ago attached itself to my email causing a curious reaction from the recipient.
the “obake” in my computa must be mad at me cause my cursor is blinking like Christmas lights!!
Akamai:
count me in – have not seen/talked to wafan in a couple of years.
hello, wafan!
