Bears win 25-21. Missouri State was up 23-22. TO UCLA. Setter mishandles ball. 24-22. TO UCLA. MSU closes it out.
On to Set 2. Bears had 26 digs in Set 1

Bruins win Set 2 25-16. only 8 digs for the Bears.

MSU stuck in a very bad rotation. it’s 9-1 UCLA

say cindy got a few things maybe technical about this blog

1.) hawaiiwarriorworld@staradvertiser.com – who monitors it/gets to monitor it and when do they supposed to respond? when there was technical issues with the blog, they seem to hardly respond.

2.) who handles or gets to handle the spam filter or otherwise flag something spam or not spam? – in case of normal comments mistakenly hitting spam and not posting.

3.) what constitutes ‘inappropriate’ besides the obvious name calling drama and whatnot etcetera? including because of the nonspamming issue mentioned in #2, it seems that simple criticism or disagreement is flagged spam or ‘inappropriate’ as though SA’s TOS is ambiguous or convoluted.

MSU making the game out of it. closes to 16-12. UCLA’s Buechler out after taking a knee to her nose. There was blood and she’s out

Both teams going outside, almost no middle attack.

    4. can’t answer you about the technical stuff. I know that our web staff recently lost two people so that might be part of the delay.
I check the filters on and off. our web staff does as well so apparently there are times that they clear it, especially overnight, and I never see what was there.
I honestly don’t know what triggers the filter. I’ve mentioned a few things, such as trying to post the same comment too many times, an email that is obviously bogus.

Back to the match. MSU had closed to 19-18. UCLA now up 22-18.

Bruins finish it on 6-0 run, win 25-18.

  9. Blunite September 2, 2016 6:06 pm

Bruins less error prone. Might be good time for MSU to ramp up tempo.

4,7. Don’t make comments on a player’s looks (like how hot a particular player is). Don’t make ad hominem attacks. Don’t write profanity. Don’t write “Hey, Cindy” when starting a post. Don’t write when frustrated with UH’s play–rest a moment first, then reconsider. Also you can go to volleytalk, read the questionable comments, and do the complete opposite.

I think I missed what happened to Van Winden?

I was looking forward to seeing her play. She’s probably the best player ucla has gotten in a looooong time. Bummer

  12. Blunite September 2, 2016 6:16 pm

MSU going with 2 on serve receive and doing credible job. But not digging as well as before.

  13. Cindy Luis September 2, 2016 6:33 pm

UCLA wins 25-16. Wahine should start on time.

Not the normal entrance for Hawaii. No Ua Mau from Bruddah Iz.

    10. I guess that somewhat sums it up. You can be frustrated with UH but sometimes it has gotten out of hand and turned into personal attacks. If you wouldn’t say it to their face, then perhaps it shouldn’t be said (or written).

    10. and one other thing. my first priority is to the print edition (and the online story) So there are times when I’m writing and unable to check the blog, spam filters or my email. I know it can be frustrating in this era of immediacy but have to finish the ‘real job’ first. Thanks for understanding
