Picking sides

kemp

While the QB situation remains unresolved, one thing appears certain: Wideout Marcus Kemp has moved from the left side to the right.

Kemp was the left wideout the past three seasons. The move means “I have to look over the opposite shoulder when a fade comes,” Kemp said, “but it’s pretty much the same.”

Ammon Barker has opened as the left wideout this week.

“I’ll play anywhere,” Kemp said. “I’ll play slot. I’ll play anything. I’m having fun wherever I am.”

The one thing Kemp won’t do is cut his hair this season. The Warriors had a short-hair policy the previous four seasons.

    Top 5?

Post here or email me if you plan (even tentatively) to attend any UH road game this year. Will add you to the Tai-ko listing at:
    http://stevem.altervista.org/away16.html

Providing ETA/ETD and lodging location could help in planning get-togethers or sharing rides–esp. if traveling independently.

Just based on the blog content today, one can surmise that restricting the length of a football player’s hair does not translate into a favorable and respectable win-loss record. So glad that after 4 years of archaic, stubborn and closed minded leadership and scratch your head football mentorship that the “Rolo on Train” offers a fresh outlook and an environment of trust, creativity and openness!

Hey does anyone know what hotel the team is staying in during their trip to Michigan? I’m trying to make reservations but can’t seem to gather any information.

I’ve been to Juneau, Alaska 5 times in the past 10 years during month of July

temperature in the 50’s and it’s cold – the “natives” are wearing jeans with multiple under shirts and a warm jacket – wind coming off the mountains which are covered in snow or ice makes it down right cold!!! 2 weeks ago, it went down into the 40’s for 2 days.

Sydney is “close” to Antarctica and I will presume their 50 degree weather is not like a 50 degree day in Hawaii.

been tracking the weather and it’s been raining several days last week and this week – we are bringing our panchos and warm clothes.

Long hair should help keep the players warm
and help their Hawaiian Warrior image 🙂

A nice couple from New Zealand today told me, yes,
it is winter, but in Sydney, the temperature should
be about 60 degrees. Is it a night game?

    Hi A-House,

I just got back from my first Alaska fishing trip last week. It was wet and overcast 3 of 4 days. I wanted to call you for advise but I noticed you weren’t in here when I looked.

#5 … “Steven M” … Tentative but looking at the AFA game w/ 2 mainland “bruddahs”

    RE: #6
A-House –Should be about the same since Juneau is 22Ëš or 1,320 miles closer to the N. pole than Sydney is from the S. pole with Juneau in peak summer and Sydney looking for the groundhog.

A cruise port guide shows Sydney to range from 46-64˚ F in August and 50-68˚ in September. Juneau is 48-64˚ F in July. Winter Las Vegas wear should suffice. 🙂

My friend at work came back from visiting his daughter(Air Force) in Alaska. He came back with pictures, mostly of salmon fishing. He forgot(I think) that I am big on animal rights, and told me a story about how his daughter had to find a rock to stop a runaway salmon. She kept one foot on the fish, while bashing in its head.

He also brought back a lot of compelling photos of snow-capped mountains that aren’t as snow-capped as they should be.

Remember when Hawaii lost 101-47 to Portland in the Great Alaska Shootout? It was on Thanksgiving. I could hardly touch my tofurkey.

    Tofu Turkey? Hmmmmm….
Think I’ll buy a drumstick today.

News article on Iva Kinimaka, who passed away on Tuesday, says he was one the top Waikiki entertainers including Do Ho, Dick Jensen,Loyal Garner, Melveen Leed, Nephi Hannemann, Zulu, and John Rowles. How many of you know or remember that Nephi was a QB at UH in 1964 ?

  20. jojo August 5, 2016 10:04 am

Wish I could go to some away games as originally intended, but after burning all my vacay I need to save for next year! Go UH!
