Mayur Chaudhari is both the TE Coach & Special Teams Coordinator … he has a full plate and could use some help …
LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS !!!!!
Welcome Mikah.
DPK…So, which month(s) do I get to wear the ring?
And if it’s too small for you…
Just a question of Stephen … Eugene Ford signed a LOI with the UH in February, but is not listed on current 2016 roster. His Twitter site still says he’s a Hawaii commit and his latest posts include UH retweets. Is Ford delaying enrollment and taking a grayshirt scholarship in the Spring? Just curious.
CHEEE Bruddah! 808!
Great Afternoon All!
Welcome Special (Teams) Coach
Speeds kills, I think the receivers will be a step faster in this new offense.
Welcome Mikah Franz!
Bring on football!!!!
Nice to have Washington experienced Mikah Franz for special teams.
Cal’s new quarterback, a graduate of Texas Tech was famous for his
400 yard plus games before he suffered a shoulder injury and lost
his starting role. And of course, Cal’s head coach used to coach at
Texas Tech and is now also Cal’s “outside” wide receiver coach. So
can expect plenty of flying bear balls…
We can discuss the fellowship of the ring the next time you buy me lunch. 🙂
Ipu Man – “flying bear balls” ? Oh my!
Re: #16
DPK — hold out for a BBQ dinner at Al’s house.
Remember the 3 events we once thought impossible back in 2007? Well, the world has changed…
1. The Battlestar Galactica finally found earth.
2. SteveM finally met Brew808 in person.
3. Da Punchbowl Kid finds his way to Al’s house for dinner.
Number 3 is still outstanding, isn’t it? 😕
Ipu Man, sorry but I have to disagree with you. Davis Webb only had one 400+ game in 2014 and that was 452 yards against Central Arkansas. In 2015 Webb played in 5 games in his back-up role, passing for 298 yard on 22-41-0 with 2 TDs.
Have you ever noticed that the fall camp roster is loaded with 41 freshmen!
Must be a record number.
Albeit, 14 of whom are redshirt freshmen from last year.
Of the 27 true freshmen I am guessing that perhaps 8-10 will serve as red shirts this season.
The influx of freshmen does foretell that we are in a total rebuild mold.
Hopefully at least 10 0f the aggregate will see some kind of significant action this year.
DPK if you like salad, then perhaps.
Love salad. Had some with dinner tonight as a matter of fact. What goes with salad?
BTW – I still need to bring you your hat and some ahi. Are you gonna go watch practice over the next two weeks?
I wonder how many of those freshmen will suit up?
Does anyone know where to get the interviews from MW media days
Would be amazing to one day also bring Keith Bhonapha back to Hawaii to coach. With his coaching experience at Boise and now Washington, he could definitely help improve our program to the next level.
WWF: the only way our program can improve is by recruiting quality players in all the positions………speed, skill, techniques will fall in place with the recruit of quality players…geezus, I mean, look at the QB’s this year….just plain tired…..I mean, if Ikaika is going to be the starter although it hasn’t been mentioned, I don’t foresee a bright future this year…he’s been in the program for 4 years…started off so many times and yet, he is being mentioned as a possible starter this year….like I said, we need quality and not reject players and that will take time and Rolo, if given the time, I’m sure will surprise many people over the next couple yrs. with the type of recruit he brings to the team.
Our condolences to the Bob Nash family on the loss of their foundation and cornerstone of the family – Mom!
will Coach Rolo follow the Boise State principles/recruiting philosophy to recruit quality players, win games/conference championships and consistently go to “major” bowl games and knock off the Power5 teams.
HC have changed, but small drop in won/loss record.
would not be surprised if the BIG 12 offers Boise a place at the “big boys” table — consistent winner who is within their “foot print” — also Colorado State
TV $$$ alone will give them the “bread” to finish upgrading their athletic facilities.
UH only hope is the PAC 12 and don’t hold your breath!!!!! yet, it will take an all out effort from upper and lower campus and the Gov/Legislature’s commitment to attract attention – of course, scheduling and beating current PAC 12 teams in many sports may help – volleyball, basketball, softball, tennis, gold, soccer, water polo, etc.

Keith Bhonapha served as the recruiting coordinator at Boise for several years. Also served as Director of Football operations at Boise.
Congratulations to Mikah Franz . Maui no ka oi.

The young QB recruits have potential. I look forward to seeing what the incoming HS freshman, Cole MacDonald can do on the field. He seems to be a nice fit with what Rolo looks for in dual threat QB’s.
