    NSF,
    You’re welcome.
I was just responding to the above news on the previous blog and was too late. Let’s try again. So disappointing to hear the above news when the team is on a positive roll. I hope they can get it all straightened out and not affect the upcoming season. Family situations can be explosive sometimes.

  3. Rodney April 12, 2016 11:45 am

    Innocent till proven guilty!
But if guilty , Kick em
    off the team.

  4. haka April 12, 2016 11:52 am

    Not good…not good at all.
    Sad to hear.
    No excuse for it.
    Hard lesson to learn.
    Next man up!

    3. I’m not a big believer in the innocent till proven guilty theory in regards to anything outside the actual law. But I hope when details come out, it isn’t as ugly as it seems. There is a student conduct code, and I don’t think you have to be “proven guilty” to be punished by the code.

Nehemiah prayed at any time, even while talking with others. He knew that God is always in charge, is always present, and hears and answers every prayer. Nehemiah could confidently pray throughout the day “because he had established an intimate relationship with God during times of extended prayer”. If we want to reach God with our emergency prayers, “in this situation”, we need to take time to cultivate a strong relationship with God through times of in-depth prayer.

  11. papayalips April 12, 2016 1:13 pm

Nehemiah worked out in 1982 for several NFL teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and New England Patriots. He signed with the 49ers. During his three years as a wide receiver he caught 43 passes for 754 yards, a 17.5 average, and 4 touchdowns. Although he was part of the Super Bowl winning team in the 1984 season, he did not play a major role. His football career is deemed by some to be a failure – many think it represents one of the most glaring mistakes ever made by 49ers head coach Bill Walsh – winning Nehemiah a comparison to the track star Jimmie “Oops” Hines, who won his infamous nickname for his inability to catch the ball. However, a strong point of Nehemiah was that he would draw the defense into deep coverage whenever he was on the field. He would often be guarded with deep or double coverage, thereby demonstrating a success of Nehemiah. Nehemiah was made expendable in 1985 when the 49ers drafted Jerry Rice in the first round, and he returned to the track in 1986.

What Nehemiah you talking about on a FOOTBALL BLOG?

The Christian’s most powerful resource is communion with God through prayer. The results are often greater than we thought were possible. Some people see prayer as a last resort to be tried when all else fails. This approach is backward. Prayer should come first. Because God’s power is infinitely greater than ours, it only makes sense to rely on it-especially because God encourages us to do so.

Father in heaven we are so thankful for your word, how it lives and move and empowers us. We know that you know all things. We especially lift up those involve in this situation to you, that this might draw them (Victim/Authorities/Accused)near to you O lord. We know that your purposes is for our good and your plan is for all to know you and to accept you as lord and savior. Hear our prayers O God of Heaven and Earth in Christ name we pray. Amen!

  17. UH Fan April 12, 2016 2:11 pm

If I was Coach Rolo, I would definitely kick them off the team if any of this is true. If he touched or threatened a woman then definitely kick him to the curb. The guys are role models who should have tolerance.

  18. Hodad April 12, 2016 2:47 pm

I’ll bet he enjoyed the ride to the lockup naked and pepper sprayed. Lucky they didn’t tas him. What an idiot.

  19. D-Bone April 12, 2016 2:52 pm

This is truly a tremendous blow to our Warriors! Hopefully the team can push through the negativity and continue building momentum for the upcoming season. If there was ever a time for Ohana….THE TIME IS NOW!!!

  20. NotNasti April 12, 2016 2:54 pm

We’re assuming that he was the instigator/aggressor. The police observed two people fighting. A witness saw (through the window) a man strike a female. He could have seen a man trying to fend off a woman. On Oahu, there is a 90% acquittal rate for abuse of family or household member jury trials. He has a good chance of walking on this case.

  21. mileHIwarrior April 12, 2016 3:00 pm

WTFudgecake yo! Really fellas?? Hope Rolo makes an example of them, whatever it is. That’s some serious stuff boys. I’m sure more details will eventually get released so stay tuned and NEXT UP!

  22. hitmanhart April 12, 2016 3:02 pm

aloha everyone !! so sad news about one of the best on the team !! brother man had it all going his way !! just got watch and let it play out !! and coach rolo got do what he got to do !! no one bigger the the team !! hard to talk pride rock and one of your main boy acting up !! hope its just a miss hap !!

  23. AllG April 12, 2016 3:06 pm

Talk about a bad day, damn. KT went from a NFL prospect and leader of our defense. To now probably out of football this season and potentially the last time he ever suits up. Was his Senior year, not sure if he would be allowed to come back or play else were as his eligibility may be still ticking. The NFL does not take well to domestic violence just ask Hardy or Ray Rice who are without jobs and are very good players. Man sad to see these guys blow opportunities over stupid avoidable stuff like this. Major damper to all the excitement Rolo has been building this Spring.

  24. NorthShoreFan April 12, 2016 3:46 pm

Terribly disappointed with the two. Seems like a total lack of self control or maybe under the influence? It seems like a no brainer type of decision. When the police show up, you listen to them and do the public explanations later. With the course of action they decided to take it seems the end of one career and a lot of hard decisions for the other.
Bad day on the rock for sure. Seems the two had no Pride on the Rock. Hard situation for coach Rolo and staff.

  25. Rodney April 12, 2016 4:19 pm

    Thinking the two are
    Lucky Chow is gone!!

  26. hossana April 12, 2016 4:24 pm

Stupid! Just plain stupid! No excuse for either player as each were resisting arrest and one even pushed the officer but both players, even if charges are dropped by the police, should be suspended from the team. One had outstanding traffic citations which is a blatant disregard of the law and there is no excuse, none whatsoever, that anyone can make for their behavior when confronted with the police. Any endeavors to condone the actions of these two players would be inexcusable.

  27. ShutTheFrontDoor April 12, 2016 4:40 pm

so what about the part of the cops standing over a naked crying young man after he has already been sprayed and subdued, laughing at him in front of the other parties involved.

  28. kapakahi April 12, 2016 4:40 pm

    Definitely NOT Living Aloha!

  29. oneseason April 12, 2016 5:20 pm

Just saw the 5 PM KHON2 story. Nothing new. Anyone know if the University gets insight into outstanding warrants for all student athletes or scholarship athletes? Considering the risks of CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy) in football, it would be good if warning signs could be watched for. It is easy to say there should be no excuses, but these guys are putting their health on the line. Whatever happens legally, and to playing careers, I feel student athletes have earned university support for sports related health effects.

  30. legistlature April 12, 2016 5:21 pm

    Any pics from today’s practice

  31. z April 12, 2016 5:21 pm

    Deja vu.

  32. Old Diver April 12, 2016 5:42 pm

Rolo will handle this fairly. That’s all we can ask.

  33. HawaiiMongoose April 12, 2016 5:52 pm

Mind-boggling. As if Rolo didn’t have enough to deal with already.

  34. R. April 13, 2016 5:53 am

Traffic citations are just a way for HPD to make money.

  35. Shoko April 13, 2016 5:57 am

Doesn’t sound like KT and Gifford will be making the trip to Australia. Tough lesson to learn but a fair punishment given the situation.

Young men making mistakes is inevitable. Just have to hold them accountable and move on. If not, then you’re setting a dangerous precedent and the wrong message.

  36. cappie the dog April 13, 2016 6:12 am

In other cities, pepper spray isn’t what the policeman is reaching for. It sounds like our cops are well-trained.

  37. cappie the dog April 13, 2016 6:24 am

    8.

I don’t want Hawaii to be like a SEC-win-at-all-costs sort of team.

If it’s established that Mr. Tulimasealli’s actions were wholly indefensible, Coach Rolovich may have to do something more harsh than redshirt the team’s best player.

As much as I want to win, I don’t want to be Urban Meyer-era Florida.

  38. jim white April 13, 2016 6:27 am

sad day in cape coral fl—5 warrior fans including my 13 yr old grandson say next man up-go warriors -don’t quit !

  39. Shoko April 13, 2016 6:38 am

Is there a early Spring depth chart?

  40. H-Man April 13, 2016 7:12 am

cappie, the fate of Kennedy and Ka’au will not be in the hands of coach Rolo. It’s in the hands of the AD and Chancellor.

  41. Down with... April 13, 2016 7:47 am

    #34 Cappie:
I don’t like to win at all cost either…but kids make mistakes at 18-22 y/o times in life. I am not defending assault either, assault is assault and should be dealt with. Resisting arrest cause you just had a screaming match with your girlfriend at 4Am naked in your bedroom, and cops busting into your condo spraying you with pepper spray is another. I am not defending just saying if it isn’t as bad as it sounds, still discipline the boy and suspend him for the year. That kind of “me” character needs to be disciplined, but to throw away a young mans career based on a split second decision is something we can change. June Jones built his team on these types of characters some made good some still made bone headed decisions…so if life. lets wait until the full story comes out and see how Rolo deals with him…i just hope it’s not as bad as it sounds. Good Luck Kennedy and Go Bows!
