Former Nevada GA joins UH staff
Makana Garrigan, who served as a Nevada graduate assistant coach in 2015, is joining the Warriors’ coaching staff as an intern.
Garrigan will be the third intern on Nick Rolovoch’s first staff, joining former Warriors John Estes and Marc Moody.
Garrigan, a graduate of Case Grande High, was recruited to Nevada as a wide receiver. But his playing career was abbreviated because of injuries. He then served as a student assistant for three seasons through the 2014 season before being promoted to graduate assistant last year.
His father is from Laie.

How come Nick Nelson wants to transfer ? He was the leader in passes defended last year, with 15 passes defended, or 34.8 % of the team total.
