Graham earns tryout with Saints
Every now and then, good things happen to good guys.
One of the good guys — former UH quarterback Taylor Graham — has been invited to participate in the New Orleans Saints’ mini camp this week. It’s a tryout, with no guarantees, but it’s a significant audition for a quarterback who was limited to eight games (five starts) the past two years because of injuries and circumstances. The past weekend, he participated in the New York Giants’ mini camp.
Graham acknowledged opportunities are rare, and he said he would make the best of this one.

Go Get Em Pro Bows!
On Kauai for the day. Any good Lihue lunch recommendations. How about pau hana watering holes?
It’s interesting how some players are better suited for the pro game than the college game.
It’s most of the time pointless to do what if scenarios but I really wonder how the season would have went had Graham not gotten injured during that Wyoming game. It seemed when he came in it was that moment when things started to really click and the offense was getting into a great rhythm.
Best of luck to Taylor.
Andrew#6 – I agree wholeheartedly. We were only allowed to see glimpses of Taylor’s potential, but like you, what I saw in the same game showed a lot of promise. I won’t be surprised if he catches on somewhere in the league.
Good luck Taylor, proud of you!
Good luck to him- did sean schroeder get any mini camp invites last year? i felt he deserved something- if not more than taylor does-taylor didn’t put up significant numbers even in high school. although sean played his butt off ,especially in the all-star game, size matters 🙁 at least in nfl perception anyway. image is everything
I too agree with Andrew. That last TD pass he threw into the corner of the end zone before he got hurt was a thing of beauty. As was the pass he threaded between the hash marks that got us into field position to make the TD pass. Haven’t seen an arm like that in a while. After watching him in practice it was obvious that his contributions go beyond the game. He never pouted or complained and always put in an honest days work on the field. Thanks for being a Warrior Taylor. Hope you can continue playing the game at any level. But I’m pretty sure you will have a great future no matter what you choose to do.
Seems like Taylor has a very good agent…enabling him to get two tryouts….wish him luck…n if he don’t make it…surely he will end up sum where where his skills are needed for a year or so….then to the NFL again ,,,next year for more tryouts…with av lot more experience under his pads… GOOD LUCK DUDE….

Exactly. That was the throw that came to mind when remembering his play last season. They were moving the ball down field really well during that drive too
Good morning everyone!
Good luck to Taylor Graham!
Taylor Graham – the N E Patriots have an opening …
their offense is “taylor made” for a tall QB.
Good Morning from Kauai! Any ideas for a good lunch spot in Lihue? How about for a pau hana watering hole? How’s the brew pub on Rice St?
Go Pro Bows!
Some players may be better suited for the pro game than college. However, playing time and experience are significant factors that contribute to a players readiness and success. Graham essentially has little to no playing time and experience. While I hope he succeeds, it will definitely be an uphill climb.
And I agree what you guys are saying about the touch on his passes. For the brief moments that he did get to play, I was always impressed with his passing ability.
On Kauai for the day. Is that brew pub on Rice any good at pau hana time?
GO PRO BOWS!
Kolten Wong, for the first time this season, is batting leadoff today against the Cleveland Indians.
I think the Cardinals’ manager stuck him in the eight hole so that Wong would get used to taking more pitches, knowing that opposing pitchers would want to pitch around him.
He doesn’t walk enough.
As a leadoff hitter, if he’s going to go up there hacking, he needs to put up Ichiro-like numbers.
But his speed is negated by having him bat so low in the order.
I can’t wait to see how he does today.
He looks like a good candidate. A big man. He is the right man to go pros. He’ll be remembered by many from Hawai’i. Warriors!
Joey Iosefa signs Buc’s contract w/ 68K bonus
4-yr 2.25M, w 68k bonus.
SA breaking news by ST.
He was one of Hawai’i’s best quarterback. Everyone expected him to go professional. Nice touch Taylor.
If I may divert away from UH, Loyola, Ill is in Chicago area. The men’s volleyball team which captured the NCAA men’s volleyball championships 2015 on the 9th Saturday over Lewis, is a good team. MPSF is still the top gun league and for many years now. Hawai’i just fell short of winning. I love watching the competition.
Good 4 Joey…. am happy 4 him n his family…especially his mom… so close to mothers day… she must be so proud n happy for him n family…Hope he does very well there…n works hard to get in much playing time in on sundays…
Going in the other direction…Tom Brady…although 4 me is manini stuff….still will loose much respect…
Good luck Wahine ur trip to the European nations…home can come back… maybe with a few potential recruits….
aloha everyone!! best of luck Taylor! nice to see Joey signed aready !!
Congratulations, Joey!
Great news for Joey!

My feeling on Taylor exactly. You nailed it.
Taylor would make a great addition to any team.
And Joey…congrat$ 🙂
Commercial interruption: when on Kauai visit Robs Good Time Grill. 12 drinks 3 pupus happy hour $68 (inc 30% tip) steal of a deal!
… Oh, and Let’s Go Bows!
Congrats to Iosefa!
as for Tom Brady would been better to take away his super bowl ring !! would hurt more !!
Test
Hmmm, couldn’t post when I was on Kauai today. Back on the approved list now.
Graham is smart enough to know that opportunities are precious and few. Plus, he hasn’t had the wear and tear of playing a lot. That’s what I tell my wife when I say I’m avoiding yard work to preserve my strength for the later years.
so ST saving your self for some senior softball down da road !!! lol
and for graham he has nice size for NFL !!
Other than Joey being drafted by the Bucs, UH also got mentioned in the 2nd Round…….when Pisa got introduced to announce the Ram’s pick……
