Wahine home schedule, and about that midwest tourney
Nothing official yet but the tournament the Wahine will head to in between the third preseason and first Big West match is at Wichita State. No surprise to those who guessed it would be, given Shoji’s friendship with Chris Lamb. So no to the guess that it was Notre Dame.
The season-ticket holders did receive their renewals with a tentative schedule (thanks Mauna). haven’t seen the BWC away schedule. Home schedule is tentative.

Keep an eye on this,Mita is having a MRI done .She has been receiving treatment on her right knee and complaining of soreness.
I found it funny that SDSU would put up a photo of the scoreboard on Facebook showing them beating the Wahine in what looked like some very close scores yet not mentioning the rest of the results.
If Mita stays sore and cannot play, does that mean that the team will rely on one freshman setter?
Anyone else know who else will be in the shocker’s tourney?
I have full confidence in higgins as a starter.
Really,VBF? Wondering if Mita will still be sore four months from now?
1. LC isn’t that the score from Friday’s single match and not the tourney on Saturday.
Still waiting for SDSU to update both days. even emailed Deitre about it.
so any new wahine transferring in? or out?
Nothing beyond was has already been reported.
Not a lot of room for more players to come in.
That’s the SDSU score from the Friday match Cindy but still thought it funny that it was the only match from both days that they made any reference to.
I don’t see a need to even think about Higgins as a starter at this time.
#2. No they’d have to rely on TWO freshmen setters. Don’t forget that Kyra Goodman is also coming.
But like Cindy said the start of the season is 4 months away. That’s a long time away.
In other news, Stephen Tsai just confirmed that Kupono Fey and Nainoa Frank sent in their letters of intent joining Jennings Franciskovic and Dane Keckin as the Warrior’s 2013-14 recruits. With JP Marks leaving, that should open up some scholarship money for another recruit/transfer so Wade should definitely continue scouting.
Rayson, don’t think it works like that. they have 4.5 scholarships. Marks’ money, assuming he was on partial, could go to some of the four who have signed. Don’t know who else is on partial this season.
Heard Croson won’t be back to play with the indoor team this Fall?!?! She’s transferring out. Any definite word on that Cindy??
Mainlandgal where did you hear that??
11. only OLD rumors, which remain unfounded and unsubstantiated.
However,
it was a tough decision to come her to begin with, after her brother’s death a few years ago. tough on her parents to let their only child leave.
if she is, would think it would be to concentrate on beach or go pro already
not trying to stir up anything. just throwing out reasons if it were to happen.
#12 another rumor on volleytalk started by an unreliable source. As of today, she’s still here in school and “we’ll see what happens in the fall” by a VERY reliable source.
Thanks Mauna. while I agree that VT has some reliable sources they have more unreliable ones.
have heard absolutely nothing about her leaving. but you never like know.
She obviously is still in school this semester, since she’s playing sand.
HAWAII is gonna have it rough this conference season. I see Hawaii has no travel partner since Pacific bolted which means teams will only have to prepare for HAWAII instead of the usual 2 teams per weekend.
Rough, tough, if you’re one of the top teams in the nation, you have to overcome all adversities whatever it is. Be positive, bring on Texas, UCLA and the entire Big West teams preparing for UH only. Na Wahine always leave everything they got on the floor, from the bench to the head coach.
Ki Mo, it is tough. made more so by Hawaii having to play back-to-back nights each week. All are Friday-Saturday matches.
That hardly seems fair. Don’t understand that thinking. It is, however, a tentative schedule and perhaps it will change to the usual Thursday-Saturday.
#15 & #16 – she is no longer part of the sand team. you may think sources are unreliable – lets just see what happens this Fall and leave it at that, for now.
Is the Wahine vollyball team going to be like the men’s basketball where they start loosing players. Already three have left, and now this rumors with Jane. Lets hope not.
so Jane is transferring? WOW!
WUJ:: Purely speculation. Last I heard, Jane loves it in Hawaii.
but she is no longer on the sand team? wt?
24. Until we see proof she isn’t on the sand team lets just calm it speculation. As of last night she was still listed on the roster for the sand team.
Purely speculation.
Looks like Jane is home this weekend.
Per twitter….”I wanna go to sandys todays! Anyone down?”
Jane is not with the team at the Collegiate Challenge in California. She’s no longer part of the sand volleyball team, but no one wanted to believe an “unreliable source”
hard to believe reliable source. when it’s She’s transferring, she’s suspended. she’s left school. no, she’s at Sandy Beach.
