I missed most of the show and KKEA kept buffering so wasn’t able to hear much. I did like hearing that The brit is showing some real promise and looking like the best player in some practices, that’s exciting.
Did not like hearing that Umlauft coming over next year is probably unlikely.
Cindy ur thoughts on mckenna granato from punahou? only a sophmore but has height and a lot of upside and potential.
Listening to Coach Wade made me a believer in a positive future for the team. Charlie could iceboxes to Eskimos! I really believe he is on the right track.

Off topic, but there is a wonderful story, written by Stephen Tsai, concerning Lily Kahumoku. Please, if you have the time, it is worth your time to read it. My dear condolensces to Lily and family.
A little surprised Stephen Tsai wrote the story, instead of Ann, or Cindy, who cover Wahine Volleyball. But the main thing, someone wrote the story of what Lily went thru.
I didn’t know that she had lost a second set of twins,very sad story.

Ann off doing some golf and other things, and I have been doing other things as well.
Po’okela, don’t see a lot of prep volleyball so don’t know anything about Granato. sorry.
As for Umlauft, thought we had discussed that it was unlikely to happen.
I did catch a few things as I was driving to my interview, mostly about the difficulty the team had with serving in a small gym at CBU, and the potential for expanding men’s volleyball.

Wow, golf and other things are more important to you two lady sportwriters then what Lily Kahumoku has gone thru, amazing. Your the ones that are suppose to be covering Wahine Volleyball, not Stephen Tsai. Thank goodness, Stephen Tsai was nice enough to take some time out of his busy schedule to do the article.
Somebody should really be repremended for not assigning that story to Ann or you, instead of a busy Stephen Tsai.
DF, Story wasn’t assigned. Don’t know how it happened that he saw Lily or heard about what had happened. But does it really matter who wrote it? We’ll all busy.

Cindy, I am not so much down on you, since you are not the Wahine Volleyball beatwriter, but Ann is. I am really disappointed in Ann, being that sport’s beatwriter. She should be on top of all that has to do with Wahine Volleyball, past, present, and future. Seems like she is not doing her job, thinking someone more responsible should take over being the Wahine Volleyball beatwriter.
Warriorfan, think about this, the one UH sport that makes money for the UHAD, does not get the coverage it deserves from the SA’s beatwriter for that sport. Someone once mentioned there should be more human interest articles concerning Wahine Volleyball. This was one of them, and who wrote it, not the Wahine Volleyball beatwriter, but the beatwriter for Warrior Football.
Cindy, just to show that I am not picking on you. I still wish you would be the Wahine Volleyball beatwriter. One main reason, you are at more Wahine Volleyball practices and events, then Ann is. Oh, plus you have the blog, too.
Stephen is also the beat writer for men’s volleyball.
As I said, this wasn’t an assigned story. Stephen likely ran into Lily.
Ann does plenty of human interest articles. there is a feature every week during the season. Where you get off saying that the sport doesn’t get the coverage it deserves is just ridiculous.
It got written. end of story. who wrote it isn’t important.
And I am not at more practices than Ann during the season. We usually split double days. She goes to the practices during the season. I don’t usually go.
We are not that big of a staff. We help each other out. Brian McInnis is the beat writer for Wahine basketball but when there was a doubleheader with the men, I took the Wahine, he took the men.
Just curious, since Ann is the Wahine Volleyball beat writer, will she be going down to San Diego St, for the Wahine Spring matches there?
Don’t know if Ann is going. Doubt it. We haven’t gone on the road for spring in the past. Only reason I was at sand in Hermosa last year was that I was on vacation and in the area.

Brah! This is Wahine Volleyball not football. We are lucky to even have the coverage we do. Give it a rest, if you think you can do better, start your own volleyball news reporting service and get all the credentials needed and report everything that you wanna hear.
All you do now, for 90% of the time, is fill Cindy’s blog with useless banter that the rest of need to weed through to get the info that is relevant.
D-fan, please get back on your meds. and stick to blogging about volleyball and stop trying to tell people how to do their job! You have provided some interesting comments in the past but you lose credibility with your rants aimed at writers and coaches. Lily was at the last two men’s matches and she talked to ST then. No big mystery.
