Pepperdine wins Set 1 25-14
Really nice video & audio…
Pepperdine rallies to win Set 2 25-20
Pepp sweeps…I don’t like their gym, though…
Waves win 25-19 in Set 3.
3. Firestone Fieldhouse also serves as the school’s auditorium. nice floor. fairly low ceiling
IF someone is ambidextrous (writing with one’s lefthand and hitting with one’s right), IF she stands relatively @5.10 (for competitioin on the 7.4 net) and IF since hs this same person has been really working on their all-around game (because always being able to hit; this person like so many others, the passing wasn’t there)…will this person be a starter @ OH3 in 2014?
& IF said individual reminds me personally of one Carla Carpenter-Kabalis, with hopefully 3/4ths the skill, will this same OH/ds be able to overcome ‘all’ on both WBV and SVB teams??
K-thx!
UH Men will have to face a strong Pepperdine team at the end of the season. So if they can’t win both matches against Northridge, it’s game over for the playoff season.
5. wish you made some kind of sense
6. Hardly game over for playoffs with everyone beating everyone else. Way too early to say they’re done, even if they lose twice to CSUN.
Top 8 make it. UH currently tied for seventh with three losses. Long Beach and USC have 3 losses as well. BYU, Pepperdine and UCLA all with a loss, UCSB with 2.
As for playing at Pepperdine at the end of the regular season, Firestone is a tough place to play for anyone.
Got your competitive point (on at least a couple of occassions already). You truly are an ex-athlete. π
IF you don’t want to understand it, you simply don’t have to try to make sense of it.
But yeah,,,it’s my blog…I can do what I want in it.
*Of course your celebrity puts you at a HUGE disadvantage on “anonymous” blogs; this I hope you realize at least.
For clarity sakes, I prefered the Advertiser as a paper–in general–I’d never think to be so rude in suggesting that the Sports Section/jounalists were my dislike of the Star Bulletin.
& I did like that Ms. Ann Miller wrote her very last article on the ill forgotten film titled: The Rise of the Wahine (wink wink). I hope that I’m being clear, here.
Aloha ‘oe
π
s, sooo da kine (hah?)
8. i did try to make sense of your post and I was not able to. Just being honest.
Don’t consider myself a celebrity. but I do realize what a disadvantage our blogs have when allowing anonymous postings. Have long said I’d prefer posts by those with legitimate emails.
Your choice to have preferred the Advertiser.
Not sure why you consider the Rise of the Wahine ill-forgotten. (is that a word?) It hasn’t finished production yet.
8. I am really looking forward to seeing The Rise of The Wahine unlike you
For what it’s worth, Tryouts, I couldn’t figure out what you were saying either.
Tryouts, Eyes on Cindy,Msrpantoja1@Huh.’A’loha, Ingoodstanding
different usernames, same gibberish!
i know it’s not ‘game over’ for the warriors. but the thought/hope going into this season was that this team would be competing amongst the top half of the league. the split with the beach gave hope. but losing 2 on the road to ucsb is a throwback to last year’s inconsistencies. the northridge match will be telling.
i love how Tryouts makes like we’re the weird ones for not understanding what the hell he/she is saying … good one, Tryouts … well played … π lol
CSUN will be telling. but it was UH’s first road trip and they did have a better night the second night β¦ not to make excuses.
Tryouts 5. I believe is speaking of Keani Passi.
Nothing against Ramos, but it’s tough to compete at the top of the MPSF with a setter that is only 6 feet tall and has an just an average vertical. All of the top MPSF teams and all of the ranked teams nationally have setters listed as 6’4″ or taller. Teams are just hitting over Ramos and it makes it very difficult for the other guys to play defense behind him. The UH offense is generally pretty slow (and often predictable) which makes them very easy to block. UCLA, LB, and SB all had more blocks against UH than their season average against others. The team has some great hitters and good depth, but too much inconsistency within the current starters. I say Wade should be bolder at using the bench when a starter is not getting the job done. You have Timmer, Fey, Mol, and Franciskovic who have all done well when they have gone in.
I’m assuming that’s who he was alluding to but he could have just said that instead of all the ‘IF said player’ games
16. something to consider is that this is not the women’s game. there are fewer subs and limited re-entries. it’s why timmer, when Hawaii has the serve, will serve first because they can get two serving rotations out of him as a starter.
And correct me if I’m wrong but he did sign β¦ just not an NLI. It was a grant in aid or some other form of scholarship help. just not athletic. which a lot of private schools can do that public ones cannot when ‘finding money’ for students to attend.
Period, pd., .
Pls, Passi is more like 5.8 IF that. I look forward to reading the βspinβ the SA comes up with on three inches gained.
The faithful should be hoping and praying for a taller transfer/last minute recruit should their goal be for a productive 2014 WVB season.
Pepperdine WILL win one, if not both matches in the SSC, also..UCLA and maybe Deitre (to boot) in going along with two in the BW Conference (this upcoming season).
Steady-Eddie, yet, being a MUST!
Hilarity. Who you??
ai/so desu.

Celebrities tend to be Celebrity-a famous or celebrated person. A favorite/pillar/BIG kahuna
There were many celebrities at the party.
They tend to be attractive, intelligent, and powerful, they also tend to be invites at black-tie-affairs, they tend to be paid well which affords them luxuries, they are usually chosen as judges and such at competitions (e.g. Brown Bags to Stardom/Coaches for the Green and White teams in Alumnae matches).
Out, baboozes.
Not going to argue the point about Keani’s true height. I’ve spoken to her a few times standing and I’m a legit 5’7 1/4″ and she’s at least 2″ taller than me. For real, end.
24. neither am I. The school puts out the height and we go with what is listed on the roster. no need for a spin. Mahina Eleneki wasn’t 5-7 either but she had hops.
23. Nice explanation of celebrity which just proves that I’m not. I work nights/weekends at sports events. so am not at things like black-tie, brown bags, etc.
Neither am I.
agreed about being as good as your word.
Her last school put out a height of 5.9.
She won’t be playing much SVB.
IF she makes anything of herself in the next two years it’ll be all about her own doings.
A short RS blocker won’t cut it; a short RS hitter (even IF she hits the ball hard) needs to have tons of experience in offering a numerous amount of ‘shots’.
The LS hitters are all about the oingo boingos…touching hopefully the stars within reach.
JC ball is MUCH different than Div.I WVB.
Satele started out at St. Mary’s (my beloved ‘sister’), grinding “five” out with Stanford.
My Aneli was another…was at some point the best that Hi. HS’s had to offer.
