BYU-Hawaii swept in national final
Brigham Young-Hawaii’s quest for an 11th national volleyball championship fell short today when the Seasiders were swept by Concordia-St. Paul 25-15, 25-14, 25-20 in the NCAA II title match in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
It was the seventh consecutive championship for the Golden Bears (35-3), an NCAA record for any level of volleyball. It was the first loss in 22 matches for the Seasiders (29-1)
Named to the NCAA all-tournament team from BYU-Hawaii were junior hitter Shih Ting “Stella” Chen, junior setter Ying Chun “Michelle” Chen and junior middle Erh Fang “Ariel” Hsu.
