I think he has a lot of potential to help right away with West leaving.
I was hoping for a few more surprises, and hope that Tui is still a solid verbal despite the football team being awful.
(The following has nothing to do with the lead story but it’s appropriate post for today, Nov 20.)
~~ From the Who Cares! Department ~~
Stanford (21-5) wiped out Washington (23-2) @ the Cards’ home court, 3-0
Pac-12 Standings (as of Nov 20)
1. #3 Washington 15-2
2. #5 Stanford 14-3
3. #8 USC 12-4
All 3 teams should win out the rest of the conference season — with only USC facing a roadblock at UCLA on Nov 27.
Great get for the Warriors. A pretty good local recruiting class for Hawaii this season.
Cindy just wondering have you talked to Kevin Wong lately about the development of High School beach volleyball in Hawaii? I completely forgot about it until I heard about the high school tournament this weekend.
Haven’t spoken to him about it since August. I know he is stocked that TV is picking this weekend’s play up on Sunday.
they are making the push for it to become a state sport but they need to three leagues sponsor it before it can happen.
On an unrelated note, northwestern lost too penn state 3-1 but have them a good match
No. 4 Missouri (32-0, 16-0) clinched the school’s first-ever SEC Championship tonight with their sweep over Mississippi State. Congrats to Carly Kan (Punahou) and Loxley Keala (‘Iolani)
I have a question though. How in the world is Illinois ranked 17 in the rpi when they’re 14-12
Illinois had a brutal preseason, toughest in the NCAA. Plus they play in the RPI strong Big Ten. Made up for a weak won loss record.
Ucsb up 22-17 in the first set against Fullerton
Ucsb up 24-22 but Fullerton is on a two point run. To ucsb
Just some scores around the nation. Nebraska is swept by purdue. Stanford beats wsu 3-0 with nearly every player hitting above .500. Washington up 2-1 against cal. Asu up 2-1 against ucla. Usc up 1-0 against Arizona but Arizona is giving them tough competition. Oh and ucsb won the first set 25-10. Sorry for the triple post
