A walk to remember
Because Cooke/Ching field won’t be officially available until Jan. 12, or 19 days after the Warriors’ season ends, UH head coach Greg McMackin decided to allow his seniors a test run. The Warriors had a walk-through on their grass practice field. Then they went to Cooke/Ching to run one play on the new turf. It was a nice parting shot for the seniors who will never get to practice on Cooke/Ching. Here’s Laupepa Letuli:

Cornerback Jameel Dowling has been overlooked this season. But he’s made progress while adjusting to the Warriors’ defensive scheme.
Dowling, who transferred from Oregon in August 2007, was not allowed to practice for most of last season. But he picked up the schemes the past spring, and stayed in Hawai‘i the entire summer.
Best of all, Dowling has excelled in school.
He was on track to earn a bachelor’s degree in May 2009. But after consulting with academic adviser Trina Kudiaccek, they crafted a schedule in which he could earn a degree this month.
That meant taking 18 credits the past summer, and a heavy load during the 2008 season. With head coach Greg McMackin’s blessing, Dowling sometimes was allowed to skip practices to work on school projects.
One of the classes he took was sign language, which fulfilled a language requirement.
“It’s harder than people think,” Dowling said. “You have to read faces, and you have to show a lot of expression. If you’re just signing, you’re not just doing it. It was a good class, pretty humbling.”
Dowling was a frequent guest at the Hawai‘i Center for the Deaf and Blind.
The past Saturday, Dowling earned his bachelor’s degree and participated in UH’s commencement ceremony.
“I had a lot of help from the tutors and advisers,” Dowling said. “I’m very thankful.”

Yesterday also was the last day of work for entertainment editor Wayne Harada:
Good Morning Tsai-kos!
#2
Top 5? Dang! Love it!
Aloha Tsai-kos!!!!
Wow…did I make the top ten….
From the last blog
Congrats to Jameel for the excellent academic work….good job. That’s what it’s all about…education first.
Happy Birthday Momo….
Congratulations Dean and Laura….
Gotta esme again….whoooosh
Be a homer. Miami dolphins website has a “game ball” poll and Devon Bess is one of the choices. everyone do your part. Vote Bess in ’08!
http://www.miamidolphins.com/newsite/flash_content.asp
Top ten maybe
I don’t think Bess will win the online poll but right now he is in last place. 🙁
Congratulation to Jameel Dowling!
Happy birthday Mrs. Momo!
Another work day for me…be back later.
Morning to you all in tsaiko country.
Jamie call you latter
What a great guy. Jameel made the right choice in transferring to Hawaii.
Morning everyone. Show them what you made mentally and physically against ND Mr. Dowling…love to see you gain us a 102 turnovers !
will-i-am,
Statistics don’t tell the whole story, his down field blocking resulted in at least one touchdown from the replays that I saw. So, I voted for Bess.
Congratulations Jameel, I was suprised when I saw his photo that ST took at commencement exercises. Oh, btw ST I noticed in some of you photos that the lens looked smudged, as A-Sports said “maybe too much holiday snacks and goodies on your fingers while handling your camera.” Make sure you use a microfiber or other lens tissue to clean it, before your family gatherings.
Go Warriors
WE ARE TSAI-KOS !!!
LK:
We haven’t ruled out the possibility that maybe I’m a lousy photographer.
ST,
I retract that last post about the lens smudge, from the photos posted today, it looks like you caught it already.
Whoah…. wat’s this… geeky photographers day?!? 😀 😯 😆

Wow!…wasn’t paying attention at first, then noticed that the duffer man was in 1st place today. ST, that calls for a small kine gift from Santa’s WB Elf.
Duffer, see you at the t-gate?!
Ggggrrrrrr……!!! Looks like there’s plenty of ND shirts still available. I for one, wouldn’t be caught dead in one! Is there anyone other than pale tourists buying them shirts? 😈 😯 😀
Good morning all!
happy birthday mrs. momo
congrats to Jameel Dowling.
looks like the ’tiser high school football all-stars will be out soon.
GO WARRIORS
ST,
Nah, you’re not a lousy photographer, it’s probably the snack food finger smudges. After all you wouldn’t be in the shape you’re in if you were a lousy photographer. If you weren’t any good, your photographic subjects would be chasing you around trying to get your camera from you so you couldn’t post images. Thus, you would be getting a lot of exercise. So it must be the snacks 🙂
WE ARE TSAI-KOS !!!
Congratulations, and a big MAHALO to Wayne Harada! 😀
Impressive, Jameel…very, very impressive! Thanks for choosing to be a Warrior!
Kudos to Mr. Dowling, that’s quite an accomplishment. It’s good to know there are young people today who really care about the ‘right’ kind of education. Mind, body and soul. Football made it a sweeter mix!
Go Warriors!
What shape is ST?
Wayne Harada Retires – Honolulu Suffers Great Loss!
Headline suggestion for the ‘Final Edition.’
Thanks for the *entertaining* news for the last umptynine years Mr. Harada!
Aloha!
ST – Saw a couple of your cousins today, Ward and Ford.
homey,
I’d say, “Top shape.”
…but that’s only because I hope to win a prize someday 😉
Great to read about Mr. Dowling. Congratulations!
Congratulations and Happy Retirement to Wayne Harada!
Happy Bifday to Mrs. Mamo and many, many more to come!!
btw, kudos also to Jameel Dowling’s Academic Adviser, Ms Kudiaccek. So often you read about how a student-athlete didn’t make it because of this and that but sometimes it’s good to hear about an individual who took the time to work with a young person to help her/him achieve something so noteworthy.
d1 – is it like a spinning “top” or one laying on its side?
Kekoa,
Yep! Me and whitey!
And Komoda’s longjohns, stick doughnuts and Portugese sausage.
How do you sign language a blind person?
HOMEY:
WHY WOULDN’T YOU JUST TALK TO THEM……….
LK ~
Thanks for the reminder…I love it! Kinda has a “We are Marshall” feel to it. Kona incorporate it into our cheers after each 1st down call.
“We are Tsai-ko’s!”
Go Warriors!
mauiwarrior – DOH! 😆
Below is the weather forecast ciyrtesy of the Honolulu Advertiser for Wednesday – the game should be pau by 6:30 pm so rain will probably not be a factor. Bring your honchos just in case.
Wednesday: Scattered showers, mainly before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind between 14 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Wednesday Night: Scattered showers, mainly after midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Will there be a post-game T-Gate or is everyone going off to do family things? If not, why don’t those of us who are not doing anythinggo to a nearby restaurant to celebrate the victory – Chili’s or Sizzler’s or Big City Diner? I’ll call to find out when they’ll close tomorrow evening.
Time to hit the streets for those just in case christmas presents and gift cards.
Have a good day posters and lurkers.
Looks like Manley could play Santa, and I see Tiny Tim in there too, but no role for Manti, bah humbug. Manti is just going to have to settle for being the nation’s best high school athlete.
Whoops!! ciyrtesy = courtesy
anythinggo = anything go
Fingers slower than brain this morning.
Top 5-0!
Brew808: You should see BHF2 Notre Dame shirt! Saw it yesterday at Ching Field – don’t know if he photographed it while standing on the UH logo!
Jameel Dowling: Congratulations on receiving your degree. Much as most of us around here love to see the student athletes perform well on the field or the court, we are even prouder of your academic accomplishments.
Don’t forget there’s a really important Rainbow Warriors basketball game this evening. Hope to see you all there!! I know that there’s a mini-karaoke call starting at 9 pm, but supporting this surprisingly good team is even more important. Besides, you can be at the bar by 9:30 .
Season tickets for men’s volleyball are now on sale. Mahalo to Jim Donovan for looking at ways to make UH sports more affordable. The biggest change this season is that UH students with ID can attend the games FO’ FREE!! All other tickets have been reduced on average by 10% to 15%.
Without bachi-ing their season, this year’s team should go far, very far. Stephen – will you be covering the games this year?
Baseball and softball practice for the 2009 season also starts in January. A quick reminder – barring some last-minute change, the WAC baseball tournament will be here in Hawai`i in May.
Off to work – have a good day everyone.
Mucho, big congrats to Jameel for completing all those credits just to grad – school and practices must have been a tremendous burden.
And, I echo the remarks of many kudos to his “tutor”, Ms Kudiachek(sp).
WELL DONE, Mr. Dowling!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Jameel.
Too much ND. I thought this was about the Warriors.
For those of us of the Celtic Persuasian (prounced Keltic, btw, and not like the basketball team) – Jim Donovan, Greg McMackin, Don Murphy, and yers truly – wearing a tee-shirt that says F… Me I’m Irish really isn’t that funny. I’m not a prude, but if we used the word Kanaka or Sioux or African-American instead of Irish, then all kind of snit would start pouring over our heads.
congratulations to Jameel on a job well done….good to see a young man willing to put in the time in school, 18 credits in summer session, and graduate ahead of schedule…thank you ms. kudichek for being there for him and helping guide him in his pursuit of his degree…also thank you to all of the tutors and coach mac for allowing him to succeed in the classroom and putting school before fb….
Whitey & Duffer ~ Add to that list of yummies some Leonard’s Malasadas, and the Pocho menu is tight!

Ralph ~ Did James give you da ‘fire starter box?’ The chopping board and knives yaws?…or should I bring mines one? Homey not goin’ be dere so we no need worry about da knives.
I heard his daughter say that they don’t even let him carry ANY sharp instruments, not even one pen!

Welcome, GoWarriors! and happy anny. Dean & Laura !
Prolly? Hope not…maybe need Pride. to reserve us a seat or ten. Told a mutual friend of Pride and I about tonight when we were howling together last Saturday…I didn’t tell Peaches beforehand…now she is real curious about Shinsho Tei. 🙂
Tombo Ahi
Hey guy! Thanks for all the work you put into your site! Great stuff 😀
Hope its 90 degrees at kickoff. Got a feeling it’s going be a close one. Go Warriors. Cheeeeeeeeee-hooooooooooou
Ho’omaikai to Jameel Dowling!!! Wow! 18 credits in a summer session is amazing. You have a lot to be proud of, young man. Mahalo to all in the athletic department who assist athletes in their academic success.
See y’all tomorrow!
GO WARRIORS!!!
Happy Birthday Mom!
EMERGENCY
Wanted to look at at the ’07 “Perfect Season” Fresno game and found out the dvd that I had was the BASKETBALL game. Would someone be so kind as to burn me a copy? Will trade homemade cookies!
I can stop by the t-gate early and pick it up or meet my benefactor somewhere (I live in Mililani, but willing to travel a reasonable distance, Hawaii Kai might be a bit far).
Call me 381-9334 Mahalos
Congratulations to Jameel Dowling! 18 credits in the summer takes a LOT of dedication! Finishing early will help the Warriors and let him get an early start on his post-college life. He can train full-time instead of having to take care of school while preparing for UH’s Pro Day.
Happy retirement, Mr. Harada!
Happy anniversary, Dean & Laura! Wishing you many more.
I wonder if losing their offensive coordinator will be a distraction for Notre Dame…
Former UH coach was asked about the fan turnout for his current team and he mentioned UH.
BSU’s President is once AGAIN openly talking about how they want to leave the WAC and go to the MWC.
BSU’s President gave some of the other reasons why he wants BSU to go to the MWC.
The MWC is playing hard-to-get right now with BSU.
happy otanjobi mrs. momo!
see you tomw.
so mr. tsai….did manley say when he will be committing to the warriors?
When I talked with her today to wish her a Happy Birthday, Mrs. Momo mentioned that they would be going out tonight…to the UH basketball game. They have season tickets and don’t miss the games.
Mrs. Momo was looking forward to the tailgate and game tomorrow!
BG- I think I have that game. WIll try to burn one for you by tomorrow. If not, will do aftahs and mail it to you.
Fresno State fans have been brutally criticizing Pat Hill after they fell far short of expectations this season.
I know that UH has had several situations where they had to wait until the start of training camp or even for the middle of the season like Maka…one advantage of having a lot of compliance people (some BCS schools have 6, I think Alabama has 8, UH has 1) is that the paperwork gets done early and any problems are handled well in advance. So, one of their starting WRs already found out he’ll have a sixth year next season.
NMSU is down to 3 candidates.
All SEC schools will be getting a *lot* of money from their TV deal with ESPN, and South Carolina is giving $1 mil of that each year for student scholarships! Looks like the SEC will make much more from their regular season TV contract than they would if they made it to a BCS Bowl…and that money is guaranteed every year.
Sarkisian is getting paid by USC and U-Dub right now.
I’ve been put on hold for the past 15 minutes so I decided to come back to the blog:
From the Breaking News section:
Aloha Stadium is receiving $4 million to design future renovations and improvements.
Gov. Linda Lingle released the funds, which are not included in the nearly $1.9 billion public infrastructure construction plan that was unveiled earlier this month to stimulate the economy and create jobs.
The projects to be designed are needed to repair and upgrade the 33-year-old facility to allow for its continued use by the public for another 20 to 30 years.
The work will include structural retrofits and repairs, recoating and repainting, waterproofing, seat replacement, new public elevators, restroom expansions and other improvements.
Design is scheduled to begin in June 2009 and be completed in July 2010. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2011 and be completed in July 2012.
These upgrades and improvements do NOT include any corporate sponsorship or naming rights $$$. More to come on this later on.
Adam Leonard said that Notre Dame’s QB is better than Tebow.
Mrs momo is very touch with manyo of you wishing her Happy birthday..She got angry with me for posting, but I know she is touched, We will bring Pan Lau Lau with the cake which I will get without her knowing that I got it. See you there.
WassupDoc,
Thank you for that update! I’m glad that Aloha Stadium repairs will take place. There really wasn’t any other option though, as skipping the maintenance would have cost a lot more money later on and reduced the lifetime of the stadium.
Momo,
You had better hope that Mrs. Momo isn’t lurking today if you want to surprise her! She has called me before to get more information before on what I’ve posted, so I know she lurks!
Got to go do some stuff with my family now…I’ll try to be back before the game, and I look forward to the discussion after the game tomorrow.
Another great teacher has left the room. As I was sitting parked on hold, I read Lee Cataluna’s column only to find out that one of UH’s brightest and funniest and talented professors died of pancreatic cancer last week. Ian MacMillon convinced me to leave a traditional academic pathway in political science and pursue a career in writing using my research and interests in things political as a way of getting messages across. His support & encouragement later led me to attend UCLA’s Film School.
My deepest condolances to his family.
Whoops!! condolances = condolences
For some reason I thought Cayman Shutter would be taller. But then again Andrew Manley is a pretty big guy.
Thanks Garret for the NMSU head coaching link.
I noticed that former UH player Brian Norwood is on the list of candidates.
Kazz – you don’t think that is Cayman in the picture do you?

Congrats to all of the Warriors who earned their degrees this past Saturday. I was in attendance and also happy to hear that Brad Kalilimoku and Michael Lafaele from the 2007 team also got their diplomas. Then I heard the announcer say one “Robert Kekaula” and my friend said “eh, get one nother Robert Kekaula?”

Damn… way to welcome the newest Warrior to the Ohana…

See this is why I need to attend UH practices.. so I can get to know the faces behind the names and the numbers.
Hmmm… but I did notice that guy in the photo above looking at a ND shirts instead of a UH one…. 👿
hooo wow!….no like post cuz al might watch later.
Kazz – you can tell that’s a notre dames fan. Just look at the pants he’s wearing.
“Memoirs of Insanity”
Anyone else feel sick? Or feel those butterflies in your stomach? I know I do not play the game and my constant yelling and punching in my seat has no effect in the game whatsoever, but this is where you realize how much the team means to you.
It’s different for most people, for me, I cannot concentrate, I cannot stop thinking about it, I cannot stop obsessing. Tomorrow is a big deal… a very BIG deal. Personally, it’s an unknown for me as I have not bothered to watch any Notre Dame games this year. I have no clue what their strengths are. Again I do not coach the team and I am not a player so logically it shouldn’t matter.
Every tailgate I see the people around me able to keep a level head while I sometimes find myself staring into space… obsessing again. Sure I will mingle and talk and throw the ball around from time to time, but that’s nothing but a bluff. A bluff to say that I am being level-headed.
“It’s just a game”. Is it? For those that believe this, I will say that you are better than me and have a better head on your shoulders. Maybe I take it all too seriously. Through this team I see the passion of the people of Hawaii, I see the will to want to be better than our mainland counterparts, I see the pride and the talent the Warriors represent, and then I think, maybe there is no such thing as “taking it so seriously”, maybe it’s just plain old pride for this land we call “Hawaii”.
Again, others approach this differently and I am no better, but I do think I am less “sane”.
Hahahahahahaha!!! 😈
For anyone that sits behind me or in front of me tomorrow, you’ve been warned. Don’t tell me to “take it down a bit”, don’t tell me to sit when we are on defense or when something good for Hawaii happens, and don’t dare wear blue and gold.
AMEN!
okay Kazz, yu got me goin. 😀
Obama da Irish!
Monseenor Kazz!
da bradda speaks tongues! 😀
Kekoa no knife or firestarter kit…..BG brought the knife, James the arsonist with the butane lighter and charcoal…Koakane also with the kiawe
cheer for Boise,,,it’s the WAC vs the MWC….Fresno already blew it, WAC can’t go 0-2 vs the MWC
wow,
boise actually has a potato commercial during this game.
Dear Notre Dame,
I don’t know what you folks expected when you got off the plane. You think of Hawaii and you think of “Hawaii 5-O”, “Gilligan’s Island”, “Magnum P.I.”, “The Brady Bunch Movie” – where they went to Hawaii, etc…. Blah blah blah bullcrap….
Listen, there are over 100 football players that wear “HAWAII” on their chest ready to show you all a “good time”.
Make no doubt about it, I respect the Notre Dame football program for what it has represented over the decades, but as far as I am concerned, I have no clue what to expect from this Notre Dame team tomorrow. To be honest I still remember the broken team from 2007 and I remember how much I enjoyed to see so many big name teams fall flat on their face. Humbling isn’t it?
I have thought about tomorrow too much for any normal mentally healthy person to stand.
I’ve seen the looks on your faces on the news and in the papers since you all arrived in my “backyard”. I embrace your presence, I am proud to see the envy on your faces when you landed in my paradise, now I stare blankly at a wall. This wall is gray and has no significant markings on it. A crack here, some old scotch tape there from a poster that was once on display, but for the most part it is just a wall.
Here I am staring at a wall, all thanks to you, and I appreciate it.
For once it’s clear to me now. This wall shows me that anything can become something. This wall shows me that man built it and man has control of it.
Tomorrow anything can become either bad or good for my team. Tomorrow my team, my Warriors, built themselves up from a rough start to an exciting finish that has yet to be decided.
Tomorrow this wall will not be in front of me. You will be and so will my team.
Tomorrow I go into that stadium not knowing what to expect, but at the same time I go into that stadium knowing that a “wall” will not stand in the way of a University of Hawaii victory.
Mahalo,
Kevin K.

haha, mark may is bashing boise and their weak schedule this year. its in a response to a boise fan with a picture of mark may and a sign “Boise Enemy #1”.
Wow… nevermind… too easy.
Mark May punches babies.

Here’s to a big UH victory tomorrow….

tanks chawan.
Nice gesture on Coach Mack to have 1 play run on the new field.
Has anyone heard how the ticket sales are going as of today? Is it close to selling out? Hoping it does sell out!
Go warriors!!!
Lizk: you got your shirt from Therese? She said you were planning to pick up so I didn’t get yours.
Evening Tsai-kos!!
How’s everyone today? Gotta go grocery shopping soon for tomorrow night. Menu for tomorrow’s dinner – Cuban roast pork, black beans & rice, salad, triple choc cake, and if I can find some, fried plantains.
When are they gonna start showing the bb games live? Why is tonight PPV AGAIN? grrrrr…
JM you seem to like your cuban dish, where did you pickup the expertise to do cuban. Cuban and triple chocolate are your specialties, right?
Ralph – late M-I-L was Cuban. Spent a few weeks with family last year in Miami and of course, picked up a few cookbooks over the years.
Evening everyone!
I just got back from X-Mas shopping and never got a chance to see the Boise-TCU game. Thank you very much for not spoiling the score, as I like watch it from the start. I wonder if there’s a link somewhere I can watch it from the beginning, or if anyone knows what time ESPN is gonna show the replay.
I am in anticipation for tomorrow’s game. It’s good to hear about the number of tickets sold for the game, and with what looks to be cooperating weather, I hope Hawai’i fans can rock the stadium! I wish we would have sold out against Notre Dame, but oh well.
Jm: Oh man I wish I was going to be there! I love that Cuban food. I don’t know about Oahu but on kauai I only find plantains on occasion at Safeway.
Basketball game against UCR about to start.
Kymry – next you come to Oahu, 2 places to go – Soul de Cuba cafe across the street from Hawaii Theater and Mercado de la Raza, a Latin American grocery across the street from Times Beretania. Was gonna go to Mercado today but traffic was terrible, so I’ll go some other time. Try the Cuban sandwich at Soul. I can’t always find plantains either.
Mahalo I will take your tips and visit both places next time in hnl. There’s a Cuban restaurant near china town isn’t there? I’ve never tried it but heard about it. Any good? My favorite Cuban dish is the palamia sp? Steak…onolicious!!
Ralph ~ I’m heading out to Karaoke at the Tsaizmic cafe where James is supposed to hand off the fire box of supplies. Since you have the paper goods, and the hi-flyer is bringing the rest. Koakane has got the hobo 30 cup coffee jug and so far lots of sweet stuff coming to go with it.
We both have extra gas burners if need be. Might need an extra chopping board, so I’ll bring one with an extra cutting knife. If you have extra aluminum containers, that’ll help.
jm2375 ~
Have a good dinner party, I’ll expect an invite to the next Cooba fuud fest. I like Ricky Ricardo fuud! My nephew is a Safeway Mgr, I’m sure we can get you those plantains.
kymry – that’s da restaurant (souldecuba.com)!!
Listening to the radio guys today from both South Bend and Hawaii, I’ve come to the conclusion that this may be THE GAME that defines coach Mac and his staff. Given what happened against Cincy and the opportunity to redeem, this is as pivotal a game for this coach and his staff as it is for Coach Weis.
The radio folks indicated that the Irish blitz 75% of the time and plan to do even more. Given our poor blocking of the past few games and the shaky play calling in the situations of a heavy pass rush, this may be THE opportunity for coach Ron to show everyone that he is indeed on top of the offensive game calling.
If not, I believe that this may be a lop sided game in favor of the opponent as I cannot see our defense going all 4 quarters against such a huge o-line. If the Irish decide to simply grin it out, we would be extremely hard pressed to fight back the tide of such huge height/weight mismatches on the respective lines. We may be able to stay with them for one or two quarters but if the Irish decide to stay with the run, keep the score low and just beat down on a smaller defensive line. I don’t think we can dance for 4 quarters.
That, and an inability to keep our defense off the field with sustained drives make for a long day.
Again, I believe that the outcome of the game will depend upon Coach Ron’s ability to devise a plan that can make up for a suspect o-line and a huge blitz rush effort from the Irish.
This game will be telling on our staff, make no mistake.
Mahalo jm! Gonna go next time in hnl for sure.
Buffoman:all good points. O-line needs to play at their best and we will win this game!!!
Go warriors!!!!!
Buffoman: Totally agree with you man. This game will show us what Coach Mac and Ron are all about. They MUST step up as coaches. Dont think that ND hasn’t watched the tape of the Sugar Bowl from last year. Hopefully we dont give up to many sacks like we did against Georgia.
Our O-Line vs. they’re D-Line will be huge.
kekoa got alum pans and saran rap, hiflyer has the alum foil….lots of bowls, who is bringing the soup? plates, chop sticks, forks, paper towel, sufficient napkins, gallon ziplocks-okay….no spoons but lots of bowls….
Kazz:
re your #118 – you may have a lot of company, but many will not admit to it.
In the A-House house after a Warrior loss, the mood is solem, very little conversation, and we do not read the paper recap of the game. That page goes to the bottom and is not seen again. We sulk all day Sunday and maybe even into Monday. All depends on HOW the Warriors lost.
We, however, cannot equal your enthusiasm and passion for the team – I think only a handful can – but, there is nothing wrong with that – allow yourself some lee-way to release the steam without hurting yourself.
No worries, we may just join you is standing, cheering, yelling at the zebras, etc. Let’s just enjoy ourselves tomorrow!!!
Kekoa:
If you can bring a burner tomorrow, we have 18 cup-a-noodle for after the game if get to cold or if any one just wants to eat a one. We will bring the pot and ladel.
“a walk to remember”
Funny, it just struck me with a serene sense of sadness, yet happiness mixed in. Happy because the Seniors got to “play” on the brand new Cooke Field and only they, the Senior class of 2008, will be the only class that will be able to say that and have that thought that it truly was “a walk to remember”.
Unlike the “senior walk” at Aloha Stadium, this will never, ever be repeated even if the field turf is changed in 10 years.
WOW, good neighbor, you have coined a new phrase that may last for generations to come whenever fans mention the “new Cook Field”.
ST:
Just a thought – what if just before kick-off, Jim D or Virginia H walks to the center of the field on the 50-yard line and says, ” Ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention to the Jumbo Tron. Here is your new Cooke Field.”
Then, in 60 seconds, we see a view from the Coach’s offices, one from a top the parking structure, one from top of Murakami Stadium, and a few close-up shots.
If ESPN picks up on this, the entire Nation will see it!! And so will the entire State of Hawaii.
Wonder, what kind of reaction will it get from the fans at the stadium, outside island fans, mainland fans, mainland and local recruits.
FREE PUBLICITY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow…4 in a row for A-House!
Can’t stay away! I plan to stop by the cabana around 11 to wish everyone a Merry Christmas before dashing away (patting myself on the back for the choice of words) to put the final touches on the party at my house.
It is pretty odd to me that people compare Notre Dame to Georgia! Last season Georgia was probably the best team in the country, especially for the last half of the season. Notre Dame is coming into this game with several bad losses in a row and is just 6-6.
For those who are comparing Notre Dame’s pass rush to Georgia’s pass rush:
Georgia sacks in 2007: 42
Notre Dame sacks in 2008: 19
Comparing each team’s sack totals for the 5 games before their bowl game, Georgia had 22 and Notre Dame had 8.
Notre Dame won 1 of their 5 games before the bowl game. Georgia won their final 7 games of the season.
I respect Notre Dame as a team and they will be a good test for the Warriors. However, Notre Dame isn’t in the same level, or anywhere close, to where Georgia was last season.
That isn’t even taking into account that the Hawaii Bowl will have almost all UH fans while we were significantly outnumbered in the Sugar Bowl.
I hope everyone has gotten their shopping and running around done. I hope everyone going to the game has a good time. Wish I was there.
If anyone wants to see some winter photos here you go…

Can’t say that I’m as concerned that ND is going to grind our D-line down. I think there’s a universal recognition that the biggest guy is not always going to win the fight. If ND had such a dominant O-line, they would have killed Navy who is way smaller than we are on the D-line and LB’s…and have less depth. We have quality depth and they keep a rotation going.
I’m confident that we’re the more motivated team. Put two fairly equal guys in a cage for a fight and I’ll always take the one who’s more motivated. Fighting not to lose another bowl game can’t compare to feeling slighted by the opponent and playing in front of your family, friends, and representing an entire state. The indicator I’m using is the “chant-off” at the teams’ dinner. ND dissed Hawaii. Hawaii’s reaction was to have 100% participation in the Ha’a for the first time… and they just tore up the place. Big advantage to Hawaii.
That’s the way I see it anyway…but, then, I’m biased…and proud of it 😀
I hope folks don’t get into the mindset of short-changing our Warriors. ND is good with lots of talent. But, I think Cincy was a much better team. If I was single and foot-loose, I’d have a bundle of C-notes riding on UH. Maybe that’s why I’m thankful that I’m not single anymore. Bwaahahaha
Channel 7 (KGMB) just teased video of the Hawaii Bowl Hawaii Ha’a vs. ND Chant.
Well, things are a bit slow on the WB. Good time to wrap (love the play on words) things up and get ready for the big day tomorrow. Dang, it sure feels like Christmas is tomorrow with all the excitement. I’m sure all the Tsaikos will view the victory tomorrow as an early Christmas present.
So, will the usual Sunday prayer meeting be on Thursday? If so, it better be a laaatte 1pm lunch so Koakane can make it 🙄
G’nite
My 2 pennies for tommorrows game…apologize in advance for the negativity but gotta keep it real…
Oline better show-up or else it’s a repeat of another arse whoopin! That article about the Oline getting criticized is legit! I love our team but our Oline is crap. 49 sacks – 12 games = ridiculous! Steinhoff, Kia with that attitude “its whatevers” is the reason they get blown up, ran by and tossed around like rag dolls out there. Piss poor attitude equates to piss poor performance! To me if you just playing to play then sit your arse on the bench and let somebody else who wants to play to win take your spot! “Its Whatevers”…you gotta be frikkin kidding me…das some bullcrap if you ask me. This years Oline is undisciplined and has the wrong attitude! Coach Smith I’d like to ask you, WTF is going on with our Oline! 49 sacks, numerous personal foul penalties, shitty attitudes??? I know we can win regardless, but unless we can negate the personal fouls, stupid penalties, and crap attitudes, it’ll be another ugly game. I wish I could be there in person to cheer on the boys to victory but I’ll be watching and wearing my Warrior Green colors proudly! Please pound the Golden Boys and send them an early Christmas present full of arse whoopin! GO WARRIORS!!!
jamie 😆 shinto tei roflmao
I’ll bring spoons – we have well over 5000 pieces of plastic cutlery of which at least 1500 are spoons.
Change of plans for the recyling proceeds tomorrow. Since Coach Alan’s program won’t start up again until next summer, this game the HI-5 refunds will go to Doris Sullivan and her PIAA program. Don’t forget to bring your cans & bottles from home as well.
We’re also bringing four bottles of sparkling cider for those of you who want to celebrate but who prefer not to drink alcoholic beverages.
Interesting game tonight – but there must be something in the water in the lower campus the way that teams in all sports play so inconsistently. At least tonight UH won, but they sure weren’t playing their A Game against a team which is pretty darn good.
As usual, the Tsai-ko traffic cone was cheering away.
Checked the four restaurants closed to the Stadium concerning their schedule Christmas Eve: El Mariachi is closed all day on Wednesday & Thursday; Chili’s closes at 6 pm; Big City Diner and Sizzler’s will be open until 10 pm.
nuff already with all the speculation. whomever is standing and has the most points at the end of the game is da winna. whomever wants it badly will go all out, put it on da line and not hold back. a coach once said only looser look at stats cause if you win don’t need to look at anything else.
let tomorrow come. both teams get down then settle the war for the pot at the end of the rainbow.
only thing left is to bring it on
count me out its Christmas Day very busy with ohana parties.
hearing some strange sounds coming from out east side someplace by foster gardens. but cannot be any of the tsaiko’s. 😮 none of the big guys there.
well seem everybody busy with stuff to do so hitting the rack now. much to do tomorrow.
g’nite all and see whomever comes to tgate.
Come on, get with it!! It supposed to be “whomever wants it badder will go all out”
oh porgot
esmeee whooooooooooooosh
my badder you is correct stretch, badder is more badder than badly.
eh give you mom and bro my merry christmas and prosperous new year wishes if I no see dem tomorrow.
OK, grocery shopping done, food put away, meat marinating, beans soaking, cake cooling and dishes done. Gotta finish cleaning house tomorrow and cook after running out to get some good french bread. Time to head to bed.
Nitey nite. Have fun at the t-gate and game tomorrow.
Go Warriors!! Beat dem Leprechauns!!
Howzit everybody,
Just got finish with wraping presents but Pauoa Boy I totally agree with about the O-Line. I say boys stick to the basics. Strap it up and hit somebody. Screw the standing around and looking pretty and stop throwing tantrums like little kids everytime you give up a sack. This is the time to step up or shut up. This game is the game that will send us into next year. It’s time to take it to the next level and I have all the confidence in the world that you will be able to do it.
To the team let’s step it up, win this game and take the momentum into next season to start another magical run to the BCS.
Kama
Hiya!
kymry- I got my shirt, mahalo! 😆

WARRIORS, IMUA!
ohyeah.
I’m bringing homemade cookies. Not pretty like kymry’s… but I remember someone saying they could decorate any kind of cookie… so bring your frosting. They are choco chip with pecans.
WARRIORS, IMUA!
All night at the game, I heard a couple guys sitting behind me rag on Nitoto. It’s not all Nitoto’s fault.
I read blogs and message boards, ragging on the offensive line. It’s not all the offensive line’s fault.
Sure, there are legit criticisms. But don’t put it all on certain people. If you really understand their respective games, and if you really understand the systems that their respective teams run, then you will know that it’s not all their fault. Quarterback has to get the ball out better, receivers have to run crisper routes. Backcourt players need to step up and give the point guard some help, spacing needs to improve to get the offense going. It’s not just one player, it’s not just one unit.
So if you want to provoke the offensive line to step it up, then I say provoke the ENTIRE offense to step up, and the ENTIRE defense to step up, and the ENTIRE special teams. ALL of the players, and ALL of the coaches, and ALL of us fans in Aloha Stadium, we ALL need to step up. So forget the finger pointing, let’s just go out there and execute. All three aspects of this team running strong means an Irish ‘ōkole whooping.
They’re the opponent.
We’re a team.
Stay focused.
Hi Jase! Coming to da activities tomorrow???
Howzit Everyone!!
We will be definetly well rested to cheer for tommorrow’s big game, will be bringing extra cheerleaders along with us to cheer for our WARRIORS!!
LET’S GO DEFENSE!!
LET’S GO WARRIORS!!
Liz ~
Pride & A-Joe took center stage as I was *saving* my voice for the game and all the yelling I’ll be doing. Myki & sj always have a hard time keeping me from going off on the Zebras too.
The usual suspects breezed in and out of focus there…James, Stretch, Midori, Mr & Mrs Hilo Fan, King Kakanui, Pride & frenz, D-1, hi-flyer, and SteveM.
Hi Kekoa!
Awrite! “Sounds” like y’all had fun! Hopefully the only yelling we have to do tomorrow is saying “YEAH!” and not too much “De-Fense”. 😈
Yikes. tomorrow is today… better hit da hay!
J-Force ~ Let me know later if you were able to hear us from the South End Zone. I wish I could bring my amps and mic’s from home to blast. Hook ’em up to the Jumbotron for a 50,000 voice karaoke session during those looooong TV time outs. Yee Haw!!!
Does it look like rain for tomorrow?
hiya errybody.
LizK

Liz: Of course I’ll be there! I’m ready to go right now!
I am pumped up for this game. It’s funny, cause I wasn’t earlier. I didn’t quite understand where Kazz was coming from when he wrote what he wrote. But now …
It’s the early moments of game day. It’s time to raise our banner high and show what Warrior Nation is made of.
Well, I guess if little kids need to go to sleep on Christmas Eve for Santa to bring lots of presents, then I need to go to sleep now to get the Warrior win that is so coveted. Good night!
Time to go crash. Big day later.
~ T-gate to kick it all off!
~ Warriors to kick off the ND green guys!
~ The Tsaiko’s of Section C to kick start the crowd!
~ We will all get a kick out of making noise for the team!
Howzit Kekoa,
We will be at North End side, bringing about 20 (ready to go cheerleaders mostly loud keiki’s). Jus’ need two bring some extra caffeine to get ready for the 4th qtr. jus’ incase anykind weird things happen like the last game. GO WARRIORS!!!!! ALOHA!!!!
i see my secret admirer showed up again.
What I’d like to see…When the game is out of reach…Coach Mack sending in all the seniors– who haven’t played a down– on a rotation basis…go in to make memories…telling their grandkids one day…I played in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl in 2008 against the Fighting Irish…and we whipped ’em….
ltuh…merry christmas!
give the wife a hug and a kiss.
did ST write a byline in this mornings HA online sports page….must have missed the deadline singing with the gangee…..

A beautiful and perfectly shaped baby boy was born.
49 years later, that same baby, now much uglier and rounder,
wants a special present.
He wants a Hawaii Bowl win by the Warriors!!!
And a steak sandwich.
Good Morning.
What I like to see in today’s game with Not re Dame is the same intensity, camaraderie, intensity, yelling, screaming and bonding as the Warrior players did at the football banquet a few nights ago. At a dinner table they were “lights out”. On the field, likewise, I hope they carry over this same enthusiasm. And are similarly playing “lights out”.
When they did the Ha’a at the banquet, in a sense, they become galvanized with each other’s spirit. And were attuned with each other’s feelings. And this feeling carrying over on to the field today hopefully tempers their spirits to come together as a unit as “one”, namely and collectively as a team.
Impressing upon the Warrior players to talk amongst themselves is very important on the field. Communicating is very enriching. If you think they’re going to blitz or screen, yell this out to your fellow players. And on the sidelines huddle up in units and help each other with pointers, inspiration, confidence, will, desire and determination. What perpetuates by this comradeship is this push in driving and helping your fellow team mates to perform at a their highest level and potential today.
For all the Warrior players look upon the fabled Not re Dame team as the Goliath and we Tsaikos and fans certainly welcome any way you can get the job done. If it takes out foxing, out tunneling, out gunning, out smarting, out hitting, out playing and out tiring them then we’re all for it. Attack the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western flanks, including all the appendages…and go all out and suppress the opposition for a Warrior victory. Go Warriors!!!
For the Warrior fans the anticipation and anxiety of waiting for our boys to do battle, not in a sense of them protecting our borders like real soldiers. But in a sense of protecting our good names and reputation. With a victory over Not re Dame it would certainly enhance it.
To everyone have the best wonderful day today . And hopefully we’ll all experience a good memory to savior.
ST
great job, being there for the seniors’ walk to remember!
The “walk” shows that our coach is aware of his surroundings! He understands public relations. Mty hat is off to him.
Go Warriors!
little ova 10 hours to go.
Bring on the Irish. The Warriors are playing for us!
And themselves. And each other. And for RESPECT!
Go Warriors!
i am so excited the Irish are here to play us.
The Irish are excited to be here..
Many in the State are cheering the Irish. But all of Hawaii is cheering for the University of Hawaii!
Go Warriors! 4 Quarters!!!
To have the opportunity to strap it on and play Notre Dame on national television, in our own backyard, in front of family and friends…
seize the opportunity, warriors. its us or them who will be remembered as the stepping stone to next season.
4 Quarters!!! Remember Cincinatti!!!
Go Warriors!
This is how the South Bend newspaper sees the game.

Keys to the game
1. 2009 starts now
It’s what they have to say, because the 2008 regular season ended with such a resounding thud, but if the Irish believe it, and play like it, that premature flip of the calendar could provide a mental edge. A young team has the luxury of looking ahead, and with the next game more than eight months away, there’s no risk of diverting focus from Hawaii, only the potential reward of playing without the bitter memory of Syracuse and USC weighing it down.
2. Skill, scheme, score
Notre Dame’s offense, it goes without saying, has not exactly been a model of productivity on the stat sheet or the scoreboard. Hawaii’s defense is about as middle-of-the-road as it gets — 59th out of 119 FBS teams — so it’s not like the Irish will be facing that suffocating USC pressure again. If the supposed bowl benefit of extra practice sessions has any value at all, that bonus preparation time should allow Jimmy Clausen and Notre Dame to put their skill and, ahem, schematic advantages to use for the first time in a while.
3. Running Lane
As in, Malcolm Lane, one of the best kick returners in the nation. If he gets loose for a long one, it could be just the type of momentum-changing moment that can tip a game between statistically comparable teams. But that happens to play into one of Notre Dame’s strengths — kickoff coverage — although Mike Anello’s broken leg cost the Irish one of their most productive special-teams players. Lane’s 27 yards per return is 11th best in the country, but it could be good news if he gets a bunch of opportunities. That means Notre Dame must be scoring a lot.
4. Win, lose or Te’o
Among its other virtues — like sunshine and sandy beaches — this is an all-expenses-paid recruiting trip for Notre Dame. And the outcome of that competition might be as important as the game itself. Coveted linebacker Manti Te’o will no doubt exceed the recommended daily allowance of information about the Irish as they prepare to play just a few miles from his high school. Although the news about the team has not been good lately, that kind of up-close-and-personal exposure to a sought-after recruit can only benefit Notre Dame. If nothing else, from the Irish’s perspective, it sure beats Te’o taking a trip to South Bend this time of year.
5. Aloha, bowl streak?
Both in setting (on Hawaii’s home field) and stature (meh), this feels more like a road game than a bowl tilt. Still, a win would serve to end Notre Dame’s infamous postseason losing streak, now nine games and 15 years old. Hawaii’s tough at home, thanks in part to the logistical and scenic distractions for the visiting teams. Charlie Weis, who appeared to be teetering on the brink of dismissal just a month ago, can begin to restore his credibility if he keeps Notre Dame focused on the opponent, not the palm trees, and “begins 2009” with a win that removes one of the biggest stigmas of the recent past.

They are trying to sound so matter of fact. Come on coaches, go get doze buggaz. No chances!
Go Warriors!
fight through, Warriors.
200 😀
Intensity is a very good thing!
whatever it takes to inspire our Warriors, WE have to step it up today!
the game starts in the mind!!!!
physicality starts in the mind!
perception starts in the mind!!!
Confidence and leadership start in the mind!
and if you keep it up, never letting up, before you know it, good things start happening.
this going be one 4 quarter scrap, no doubt about it!
Rolo, Ron
remember, this is a 4 quarter scrap, so no be running in da 4th. full throttle guyz.
I wonder how many Irish guyz no can sleep, knowing this going be one good fight!
LizK

Hi LV!!! Still snowed out of your garage?
Looking crossed-eyed at the examiner might be funny. It will be absolutely hilarious if you pull out a pair of Coke bottle glasses and still cannot find the eye test machine. HA!
Wait. I wear that kind of glasses. HA!

Lonely and blue

Time for a late breakfast. Need to rummage around the nearly empty ‘fridge. Sardines and Vienna Sausage, with a side of mayo?
Best of everything to young Manti Te’o where ever he goes; read that write-up story of his exchange with a young fan this morning and there’s more to him than I imagined. He sorta reminds me of a younger Tebow which makes him even more impressive. I wish him the best in representing Hawaii.
Hi Wafan,
Sno melted yesterday
Maybe I can finally wash my car.
At the DMV I’m thinking of asking for a translator, just because.
HA! A translator. Could never understand that. You can take the licensing test in just about every written language. But all the road signs are in American/English. Interesting.
so did you get my send, wafan?
216 is not me.
an imposter. wit a big odor. lets see, the list of suspects. not me, not wafan. …. Las Vegas… hmmmm.

This game is not for the seniors. It is for Hawaii! We didn’t jump off the wagon. This game is sold out.
I’m wearing my Ireland shirt. I’m wearing green.
I am all Hawaii!
Go Warriors.
The sun is just beginning to light up the eastern skies & the birds are chirpeling. Hold your breath for the next 11 hours that the weather will be Hawai’i’s best. We need as much free publicity as possible.
See you later – have to pack the car with a recycling bin, sacks, spoons bucket to cool the sparkling cider, and, of course, the cider itself. Need to get ice & glasses somewhere along the way.
Picking up LizK at the airport – the plane arrives at 9:15 – and then it’s off to the T-Gate.
Am wearing my Tsai-ko shirt and will bring along a green shirt jic we decide to wear colors instead.
Still looking for recommends for seat bealt installation and a good place to buy a car cover since we won’t be able to put the Toyota fully into the carport once Saturn The Dog’s house goes under it as well.
Sears has some but not in the right size and the other two places we went to don’t even carry them.. Costco is out of stock and doesn’t expect any more in until sometime in the spring. Their online covers are almost $200.
Later – have to get organized. Worse worser worsest.

You can always try getting used “parts” from the auto junk/salvage yards. Often you can find the same model and remove them yourself….

djmitcho – Interesting snow photos! I think you invented a new concept – going out into the snow to make “snow Tsaikos“! Of course, that could be just a huge crater/divot in the snow! 😀 😯 😆

las vegas:
Happy bifday and many, many more to come!!
Enjoy your present – a Warrior victory!!!!
Oh yeah,
Great story on bruddah Manti, good luck mayun!
Merry Kalikimaka or wait Mele Christmas to you all!!!
Wow…. it’s a huge difference between homemade, PBS to cup-a-noodle…. but I suppose beggars can’t be choosy! Besides, still tastes ‘ono after a Warrior victory!!! 😀 😯 😆
To all who inherit this planet and expecially TSAIKO’S everywhere:
A most merry Christmas and good tidings to all. Enjoy your family and friends and good cheer!
I heard an awesome idea for the game today to make the Notre Dame players feel like they are at home. Unfortunately, it is NOT snowing here in Hawaii. Unless…… there is a shave ice stand at the stadium.
GAMEDAY!!!
Dear Notre Dame,
Lose one for the Gipper.
Aloha,
Kevin K.
Pearl City, HI
Stretch…you’re only Santa if you wear a red UA outfit….mwahahahahahahaha
PB…only us Chinese say Meleeeee Chlistmas…..mwahahahahaha
There is NO WAY I would waste delicious shave ice for that! I might have some spare lemons though…. 😈 😆 🙄
“PASS-INTERFERENCE JESUS”
Good morning Tsai-kos!!!
Happy Birthday LV!!!
Have fun at the t-gate & game. I will be watching at home.
Watching replay of Fins-Chiefs game from Sunday on NFL Network. Replay is 90 mins – no kickoffs (unless warranted), PATs, between play dead time. Nice to be able to watch Davone.
Gotta go get some good french bread for dinner tonight. bbl.
jm – we are having french bread for the after game celebration tailgate??
bhf2 . . .
Received but no attachements.
LV . . .
Happy 21st!
Been thinking (I know it is a dangerous thing for me) about Mack having the seniors play on the new Ching/Cooke Field.
At the very least they got to see what they worked so hard to get and accomplish. A classy way to remind them they are all part of the Warrior legacy.
And, I also thought of the two baboozes (baboozi?) who held it up. Dummies. See what your greed and stupidity did? Not even a lump of coal for you!
Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
wafan,
how’s dat! 😆
hail to da Irish.
I love da Irish!
you know what I’m tinkin, wafan!
you so right wafan. da babuuuzees get only a silent prayer for dare wickedness. 😯 and a ccupla cracks. 👿
Happy Birthday, Las Vegas-san!
okay, to chinee town fo supplies, den to da Tgate.
I thought baboozes only called 1420??
bhf2 . . .
HA! Great photos. That field looks really good!
Thanks much.
wafan:
“Diamonds are made of lumps of coal that stuck to their job you see,………..if they had not stuck to their job, where would the diamonds be?”
Stretch . . .
You heard my call? Dang.
Great Christmas Eve Morning All!
Happy Birthday, las vegas! 🙂
Very classy move by Coach Mack.
It’s very sentimental and all but really….I’ve seen (and caught a whiff of) my sons’ football gloves after a full season! 👿 Talk about hauna!
A-House . . .
I was thinking more like the low grade coal, high in sulphur, because their deeds stunk up the place more badder. HA!
Besides, sometimes it is better to stop than continue. A tactical retreat is sometimes called for. But it takes an intelligent commander to know when and how to fall back, when to stand and fight, or when to advance. Apparently, they are not too bright but very greedy. Just my opinions.
Baboozes no can call 1420 today…
….only can stick snowballs in dere pockets fo’ “special delivery” to welcome da Fightin’ Irish!
heheheh
happy b-day las vegas….
Judging by that photo of the new field, it looks like it’s multi-purpose.
Striped for soccer, too?
d1 . . .
I thought you were busy running back and forth between the kitchen and grocery store.
Maybe the gloves were a way to guarantee no one messed with his stuff at the airport? Would have served TSA right to open his bags in an enclosed room. HA!
Sneak Attack Gone Bad
Snowballs in pocket
Awfully cold feeling there
Going look like shi-shi.
Okay, time to finish packing and get out of here.
We don’t need no snowballs to beat Notre Lame! 😆
GO WARRIORS!!!
BEAT THE HUNCHBACKS!!!
Have a safe and fun trip, wafan!
“Hello, this is the June Jones Foundation, June Jones speaking”
“Hi, Mr, Jones, my name’s Kenny. My Mom told me to call”
“About, what, kid?”
“I have a life-threatening disease, and my Mom said you help kids like me”
“Well, kid, we’re a little short on funds right now”
“Gee, how come?”
“Well you see, Uncle June had to pay a lot of money to some very bad people”
“How come?”
“Well, Uncle June signed what we call a contract and promised to work for these people until the end of 2008, but then Uncle June got a chance to make a lot more mon- I mean, Uncle June was sad about how mean these people were to him, so he decided to go to Texas. Ever heard of Texas, Kenny?”
“I guess, but why can’t you help me?”
“Listen, kid, you think custom-made tiles come cheap? Plus I got a kid of my ow- I mean, there’s this baby I promised I take care of, just ’cause I’m such a great guy. Next year, we’ll have a big golf tournament and make lots of money for kids like you, I promise”
“But (cough) Mom says I may not be around next year.”
“Gee, that’s tough, kid, but I got problems of my own. Good Luck, kid”
“Can’t you do anything for me?”
“Nah, I don’t think so, unless – say, kid, is your Mom hot?”
“What?”
“Your Mom – is she maybe a former athlete, like a volleyball player?”
“I dunno”
“Well , why don’t you ask her. If she says yes, send me a picture, OK, kid?”
New post!!!
CYA there!
safe travels wafan…
Back from the errands. Good thing I went when I did. Got the *last* loaf of bread (at 9am!!).
Merry Christmas everyone!
wafan – happy travelling. you going visit your twin, da birthday boy? 🙂
Hi, this is June Jones, for the June Jones Foundation, urging you to attend the Gala Fundraising Golf Tournament we’re having on the Big Island in 2009. You’ll get to play golf at the beautiful and exclusive Hokulia course, mingle with other rich people, enjoy fine cuisine and music. And best of all, you’ll know that the money will probably go to kids with life-threatening illnesses. Most likely. Unless I need to buy my way out of another contract, or if something unexpected comes up, like, oh, I don’t know, maybe a paternity suit or, to use another totally random example, a sexual harassment claim. So enjoy great weather, great golf, and the knowledge that, in all likelihood, your money will go to those poor kids with life-threatening illnesses. Or me. IF I need it. But really, we’re pretty sure the money will be going to those kids.
T-gate now in progress! Standby for broken news!
congrat to my son even if he can’t talk to his mother I’m proud to see that you did what you set your mind out to do. I know you would do it BIG! Now your on your way to big and better things happy birthday and a happy new year because i know i wont see or hear from you
love anyway……………………………….
