Tuesday report
• Left wideout Allen Sampson said he will undergo surgery in two weeks after the swelling recedes in his right knee. He suffered a torn ACL while making a non-contact cut against New Mexico State.
• Trevor Davis and Darius Bright practiced at left wideout today.
• Royce Pollard, who did not practice last week because of a tight right hamstring, worked out with the first unit today. He said his hamstring is fine.
• Linebackers Corey Paredes and Aaron Brown did not practice today because of ailments. They will start against Idaho.
• George Daily-Lyles filled in for Paredes at middle linebacker and made a leaping interception during passing drills.
• Placekicker Kenton Chun did not practice today. He will practice tomorrow, at which time it will be determined whether he will travel to Idaho. The Warriors depart tomorrow afternoon.
• By the way, two more players are out for the season. Defensive end Desmond Dean is on crutches after undergoing knee surgery. Safety Steve Christian is set to undergo surgery for a labrum tear in his left hip. He previously underwent surgery for a labrum tear in his right hip.

ST & Tsaiko Blog Dogs:
For the longest time, federal government workers had what is called Cost of Living Allowance or COLA. I wonder if student stipend here has such a thing. Everything in Hawaii costs more than the rest of the 48 states. We and Alaska always suck hind teat when it comes to cost of goods and services. We should press NCAA for a COLA adjustment allowance for Hawaii and Alaska students on scholarship.
Yes, ST, but sometimes, the combination of poor fitting shoes, with weird, new cleats would cause us to run and cut differently than with comfortable, old shoes. Just wondering if new equipment is not ideally suited to the new turf we’re using at all locations (practice field, Aloha Stadium, etc.).
I know I’ve twisted ankles and hurt knees (mine and opposing players) trying to plant my feet to cutback, etc.
That’s a very plush surface at the stadium now. Recall that they were pushing to get it installed prior to the start of the season.
Checking the number and severity of leg injuries in the ILH this season might be interesting.

In 1992 UH was picked for LAST place in the WAC. Early in the season Michael Carter & crew replied w/ “NOT!” (which was covered by ESPN), & blew everyone away by hammering out an 11 – 2 season.
UH football 1992 outright WAC champs go on to beat Illinois in the Holiday bowl on national tv!!
We didn’t have the overall talent as this current team does.
(Mahalo to coach Wags for what he did for the people of Hawaii in 92! Mahalo to coach Mac for wearing his heart on his sleeve on behalf of his players!)
I wonder what would happen if they eliminated cleats from the game? Not like we were born with em.
Random thought,
Have we ever considered going to a bowl game in Vegas? It’d be a nice change from playing in the Hawaii Bowl every year.
Sad news about Desmond Dean and Steve Christian. I hope that they are both fully recovered soon.

What if coach Mack scheduled a practice session at Aloha stadium w/o cleats?
I think that football shoes today are designed more for speed than proper foot foundation. The *LAST* of the shoe is the key to proper support. Not enuff attention is paid to customizing the ‘last’ for linemen and other position players.
I see a need to test a few theories just to see what the players feel the difference may be. I believe we talked about this wen UA first issued their shoes to the team. We need to re-visit this with them again, and ‘run’ more tests.
Morning!… These injury reports are really disheartening. It’s as if the 1st team has never played a down fully healed.
MWC and CUSA are going to try on Wednesday to convince the Big East to create one huge cnoference.
http://www.lvrj.com/sports/mountain-west-conference-usa-officials-to-talk-to-big-east-chief-about-joining-forces-132528493.html
I am curious as to how this works, since the NCAA hasn’t given approval for a playoff round before the conference championship game. It also would cut the regular season to 12 weeks which eliminates the Hawaii Exemption and all bye weeks.
The other downside is that the MWC currently gets slightly more than 1/2 of an AQ conference share when one of its teams makes a BCS game. So, currently the MWC splits a 1/2 share among 10 schools, but now a full share will be split with 28 or 32 schools. That seems like less money for UH, but maybe the additional money from the playoff and championship games will make up for it.
It sounds like West Virginia will replace Missouri in the Big 12…and BSU and Air Force want BYU to replace West Virginia in the Big East. BYU actually has a basketball team worthy of the Big East, but I can’t see them working out the TV details and other issues to make BYU want to go.
http://brett-mcmurphy.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/29532522/32936807
Garret,
If it all pans out, hopefully there will be some bigger name teams coming to Hawaii for games to help make up the difference in ticket sales and tourist revenues.
Then we’re going to be getting even less from the mega share AND pay travel subs all the way from/to the East Coast for several teams? What?
is allen sampson really the one who’s been doing kick off returns? i thought it was mike edwards. on multiple occasions (ST’s article, Na Koa lunch report), sampson has been credited.
If I had the power to change things for the best outcome for UH, I’d like for UH to have their own airport meeting. Picking the right 12 schools from the MWC and CUSA (kind of what the Big East is trying to do now) would result in a conference that would earn AQ status automatically under the current rules because all 3 AQ criteria would be satisfied.
For example, I think a quick glance of the numbers indicates that this conference would satisfy all 3 AQ criteria and have decent TV markets to attract ESPN:
West:
UH
San Diego State
Boise State
Fresno State
Nevada
UNLV (included for basketball plus location)
East:
BYU
Colorado State
Air Force
SMU
Houston
Tulsa
Boise State would satisfy the criteria for highest ranking team.
BSU/UH/Nevada/Houston should probably have top 25 finishes last year or this year
The average computer ranking of this conference would be in the top 6 of conferences, satisfying that criteria. If some teams struggle, either UNLV or Colorado State would have to be dropped for a higher ranking CUSA school.
This conference would have AQ status, split the AQ money 12 ways instead of 32 ways, and get more TV money than all non-AQ conferences combined.
Everyone would get to have the rights to all games not shown on national TV, which preserves UH’s PPV and satisfies BYU. BYU could even fold their ESPN indy TV deal into this conference and keep their money until the total TV deal passes what they get from their indy TV deal.
Too bad this wouldn’t happen…only in my dreams for UH.
heal up everyone.
GO WAHINE!
GO WARRIORS!
madeinhawaii,
Getting schools like Marshall, Tulane, even the Big East leftovers won’t bring in extra fans to UH games. I see a lot of mediocre to bad teams on that 32 conference list and not many big names that would be coming to Hawaii.
Edwards has 24 kick-off returns
Sampson has 2 kick-off returns
Good morning everyone!
On the injury front, my impression is that there are fewer hamstring injuries this year than previously. True? …or just not reported?
Are there still complaints from players about those Under Armour shoes falling apart?
Last trip to Moscow, Idaho. It would be just as hard to play at WAZZU in nearby Pullman, but I hope that UH will look into future home and home series with them, along with Oregon State. Looks like WAZZU is putting some badly needed improvements to their stadium and athletic plant.
Garret: My contention has always been that UH rightfully belongs in the PAC 12 and their efforts (e.g. lobbying, building programs, etc.) should have been focused on getting into that conference. UH has not been persistent in that effort nor have they done whatever is necessary to get into the PAC 12. It may sound like a “pipe-dream”, but UH has not done its its homework to make themselves a “viable” choice for the PAC12 or any other conference.
Garret:

BSU/ UH /Nevada/Houston should probably have top 25 finishes last year or this year
UH had a top 25 BCS finish last season. The BCS rankings are done *before* the bowl games. So, it is FACT that UH, BSU, and Nevada had top 25 finishes last year and I think that BSU and Houston will have top 25 BCS finishes this year. That would satisfy the AQ criteria.
When talking about AQ criteria, it pays to know the rules. The rest is just math and UH or any conference (like the Big East is trying to do now) can manipulate that math to get AQ status.
Maybe they need to go back to the old high top shoes, at least for ankle protection?

Bowwar,
UH does *not* bring nearly enough to the Pac-12 to make it worth their while to add UH. Every Pac-12 school would have to agree to take *less* money to add UH and that isn’t going to happen when Pac-12 schools are so short on money that they are cutting sports teams.
Lobbying is worthless to get into the Pac-12. Building up the Academic and Athletic sides would help with the Pac-12, but the state does not have that type of money…every year lately UH is looking at having funds cut.
The biggest thing to become attractive in the conference realignment situation is to WIN! I have been talking about this for years now.
Winning is why the Big East wants Boise State.
Winning is why the MWC took Boise State before any WAC school.
Winning is why the MWC took Fresno and Nevada before UH.
Winning last season is why the MWC took UH.
Winning is why West Virginia is getting into the Big 12 instead of Louisville.
Winning made Utah attractive enough for the Pac-12’s final spot.
Colorado got into the Pac-12 partially due to geography, largely due to population/TV market, and partially as an attempt to get Texas to join the Pac-12.
It is too late to talk about the Asian market in this round of expansion…UH didn’t do anything big in that market in the decades they have talked about it. The MWC played a conference game in Japan, UCLA sells more merchandise in a few stores in Japan than UH sells in all of Asia, Stanford and the rest of the Pac-12 have the links to Japanese Universities already.
The only weapon that UH has is winning. Even winning last season wasn’t enough for the MWC…UH also had to agree to travel subsidies. The MWC has a $1.3 mil TV deal per school, the Pac-12 is looking at $25 mil per school–the only way to attract the TV ratings needed by UH to bring that type of money is for UH to win at the 2007 level for several years in a row. This year ESPN can show every Saturday UH home game for free and they choose not to (aside from Colorado and BYU, but ESPN would show those schools against a lot of other schools)…if UH was undefeated then ESPN would be picking up even the Tulane game.
Good Morning!
Get well and heal up soon.
Gonna need you guys this game.

I agree Garret, which begs the chicken and egg question. If that’s were we desire to be, and the criteria to get there is to, as you say and I wholeheartedly agree with, WIN…consistently ala BSU. Do we have the right pieces to the puzzle to get us there? Start with upper campus, AD and ultimately head coach. If any of those links are not firmly in alignment where compromise is not an option to WINNING consistently, then we have a failure to communicate and thus cannot achieve the goal.
So, is it the chicken or the egg?
Public perception means everything for a university. Unfortunately, when you mention the University of Hawaii to folks on the continent you’ll still hear some comments such as – “Oooh, did you major in surfing or mai tai making?”
I was talking to some international students from Korea recently, and several told me that when they told their friends that they would be studying at UH, some asked – “Is there a university in Hawaii?” People in Asia still focus on “big name” universities such as UCRA (I mean UCLA), Stanford, MIT, Harvard, etc. UH needs to do more to attract more international students with their academic programs and ESL prep programs. As was mentioned earlier, more international students benefits UH with with the larger tuition they must pay.
stop right there… It STARTS right there and the rest is gravy.
IIRC Gov. Burns’ ambition was to get UH into the Pac-8 and WAC membership was a stepping stone. His leadership from the top was vital.
Not getting any indication from Guvazombie that he would be leading the charge any time soon.
Houston getting a bigleast invite; and bigeast member, WestVirginia getting big9-12?? invite. wonder if Houston will stop and think this one over???, cause there ain’t much to bank on with the deteriating bigleast?
#63 – d1shima – Guvazombie already has sounded the signal for retreat!!!!!
Darn now da big east raiding da mwc. May not have anyone left when hawaii joins next year.
Regarding the MWC, C-USA, Big East merger . . .
Although the intention is to gain AQ status, wouldn’t it essentially strip any other member of the super conference from even that little outside chance to be a BCS buster?
speaking of money – case you didn’t see this yet ….
Regents scheduled to approve tuition increase Wednesday
The University of Hawaii Board of Regents is scheduled to approve a proposal that would increase tuition on all campuses over the next five years.
Under the proposal presented to the regents in August, annual tuition would rise by 35 percent over the next five years for a resident undergraduate student — from the current $8,400 a year to $11,376 in 2016.
Resident tuition at UH West Oahu would go up 49 percent over five years, to $7,656 in 2016-2017, from $5,136 this year, equal to what UH-Hilo students would pay.

Pomai: Coming soon! Hawaii-50 Idaho – 0
Mahalo.
All this realignment talk makes my head spin. Just rename the conferences already! Conference A, Conference. B, …
#63 D1…You are correct. Under Governor Burns, UH had been in talks with the PAC 8 to join that conference when they expanded to 10 as UH was independent at the time. But, as you say, and everyone else has been saying, UH needed to win and prove themselves. We won here and there but while our program was progressing, Arizona and Arizona State were sought after by the PAC 8 and they jumped ship from the WAC to form the PAC 10. Thus, UH joined the WAC in hopes of still using it as a stepping stone for another conference….35 years later…..ummmm
I don’t disagree with Garret that consistent winning cures everything…Aside from that you have to lobby and be a “pest” (like Boise) to get accepted into any of the bigger conferences. If you don’t show an interest then how can you overcome the obstacles you’ve highlighted?
Forget about “Mr. One-Term” aka Guvazombie as the people have figured out that his words have no meaning and that his retoric is indicative of being “out of touch”…Too bad, cause we could surely use a leader to take us to the next level…
According to the LV Review-Journal article I posted above, the commissioners of the MWC and CUSA are flying to New York to try to convince the Big East to merge with them. The Big East announced today that they won’t be meeting with the MWC and CUSA tomorrow.
Houston called a special Board of Regents meeting tomorrow where they are expected to officially decide to accept the Big East’s invitation. Schools like SMU, Air Force, and Navy don’t have to make their meetings public, but public institutions like Houston need to.
http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/weiss/2011/10/big-east-denies-meeting-with-mountain-west-and-conference-usa-about-football-super-con
If Gov. Burns’ vision had come true and UH had joined the Pac-8, UH’s athletic and academic situation would be different now. If UH joined the Pac-8, UH would now be part of the Pac-12. Remember, back then people didn’t worry about budgets and TV money since nobody was making much from TV anyway and athletic budgets weren’t squeezed (this was before Title IX and before coaching salaries went crazy).
Schools like Washington State may not have been able to join the Pac-12 now, but since they are already in they don’t have to worry about it. There are a lot of schools that may not be fully deserving of their conference, but full members aren’t kicked out of those conferences.
On the other hand, at least UH didn’t mess up like Tulane–Tulane was a member of the SEC for 34 years, but left the SEC to go indy.
Bowwar,
I agree with you here. UH *has* shown an interest in the Pac-10/12 repeatedly over the years, and UH showed so much interest in the MWC (even before Boise State did) that UH drove away schools like SMU from the WAC. As recently as last year JD had discussions with the Pac-10 where he offered them travel subsidies if they would let UH join them.
So, UH repeatedly showed interest in the Pac as far back as with Gov. Burns and as recently as last year with JD. UH repeatedly showed interest in the MWC. I do not think that showing an interest has been a problem for UH. Trouble is, UH needs to win big to get that interest back from the Pac.
UH was a bigger “pest” to the MWC before Boise State, causing the WAC to lose a bunch of teams 6 or so years ago because UH was publicly trying to get into the WAC and publicly refusing to sign a loyalty agreement to the WAC.
Yes, currently the Big East gets a team in a BCS bowl game and the MWC will get normally get a team in a BCS bowl game. Under the proposed plan, only the champion will get a spot in a bowl game…and the loser of that championship game probably will not get a spot. So, the MWC and Big East champions could play for a single BCS bowl spot instead of both going.
The Big 10, SEC, Big 12, and Pac-12 would love a 32-team alliance. Remember, they are now proposing a rule to allow a conference to send 3 teams to BCS bowl games instead of being limited to 2 BCS bowls…the extra team would take up the spot that the alliance is leaving behind.
SMU’s leadership was in New York on Sunday to meet with the Big East…it sure doesn’t sound like they are planning to be part of a 32-team alliance.
http://collegesportsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2011/10/smu-officials-met-with-big-east-official.html
Oops, they were in DC, now NY.
The NCAA seems to be looking to allow schools to get recruits that do not qualify academically…they would go on scholarship and be an “academic redshirt” for their first year in order to get their grades to the point where they could play. This is like the old Prop 48 rule, which is not good for UH since UH keeps a higher admission standard that schools in the SEC and other places that would take nonqualifiers if they could.

James,
The plan to still join the PAC 8 (12) are still underway.
35 years not too bad… I think we’ve just finished the planning phase and now are awaiting bids…
Wait, what are we talking about again????
Garret:
UH is like a small fish in a large pond with the larger fish dictating its ultimate fate. Its too bad we don’t any leverage but that’s the way its been. You are right that a consistent winning record like Boise has makes all the difference in today’s college football world. If UH had the foresight to “invest” $2 or $3 million extra every year from five or six years ago in its football program, the dividends could have started to flow in through invitations to BCS conferences and/or more TV revenue. When can UH have some foresight and long term plan to we aren’t saying the same thing ten years from now.
Kevin #80….BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Small fish need to grow up or suffer the fate of being swallowed up by unintended currents of change.
Alas, this is the fate of UH. Look on the bright side, if this whole thing gets beyond the UH’s ability to pay yo belong, it can go back to playing with the little guys Western Montana State, Southeastern Oregon, Northwestern Colorado State, etc.. (I don’t know if these schools exist, just being sarcastic). We’ll still have great volleyball teams as they are not so affected by money and conferences.
I used to go to the old stadium and watch UH play Redlands. It’s still football and we don’t have to worry about “blue chippers” staying at home. But we should hav a terrific homegrown representation.
Wahine Softball Releases 2012 Schedule
Buffo:
I remember Redlands and Long Beach State. Long Beach State had some great running back in the late 60’s and early 70’s including Leon Burns and Terry Metcalf. These schools don’t have a football team anymore and have only the memories.
Redlands is still playing DIII
http://nawahine.com/2012schedule.html
#85 I mis-spoke. Redlands is still playing football. Long Beach State’s last football game was in 1991.
Boise State met with the Big East in DC on Sunday, the same day that SMU did. With the schools able to meet in person, no wonder the reports came out that BSU/AF/SMU/Houston were trying to convince the Big East to invite BYU.
http://voices.idahostatesman.com/2011/10/25/bmurphy/boise_states_kustra_met_with_big_east_officials_sunday_washingto
Sounds like it’s getting pretty crowded in the Training Room. 🙁
Kinda fun looking at the all-time results to see which opponents are still playing football.
http://www.hawaiiathletics.com/documents/2009/2/12/fb_results.pdf
McKinley and Oahu College still going! 😉
What often gets lost in discussions about the Big East expansion plan is that the eight Big East basketball schools have a voting majority and therefore control expansion of the conference. Although the basketball schools have tentatively agreed to the football rebuilding plan — hence the meetings with Houston, SMU, Boise State, etc. — they haven’t yet formally voted to issue any invitations. If the Big East continues to lose football schools with strong basketball teams (West Virginia, Louisville and Cincinnati all finished in the top 20 in last season’s Sagarin ratings), a point could be reached where the basketball schools are no longer willing to backfill with football schools with weak basketball teams (none of the planned additions were in last season’s top 100). Especially if AQ status appears to be a lost cause, I think the Big East basketball schools will tell the remaining football schools to seek football-only memberships in the MWC/CUSA alliance, and build back up the basketball side of the conference with additions like Xavier, Dayton and Saint Louis.
That’s why I’m hoping the Big 12 will bring in Louisville and Cincinnati with West Virginia. That may be just enough to tip the scales against a Big East rebuilding effort, and give the MWC/CUSA alliance a better chance of landing an AQ bid.
I agree that the Big East cannot afford to lose Louisville and Cincinnati. Losing 1 school to the Big 12 doesn’t hurt them…I think that was expected since everyone could see that the SEC was going to take a team. It does seem that the Big 12 will stay at 10 schools for now (maybe until their TV contract is up in 5 years), so that gives the Big East time to survive.
Garret #76 . . . So why would they even consider it? Seems like they are convinced that the MWC/C-USA will NOT get them the AQ slot they anticipated and are trying to ensure that. It just doesn’t make sense.
While expansion and alignment of big conferences would truly mean “super” status, alignment and mergers of mid-major conferences are probably just doing the bigger schools a favor. Seems that in their effort to become relevent, this merger has the potential to make the schools in these conferences all the more irrelevent to the big BCS picture.

sorry for the double post . . . twitchy finger. Good thing I wasn’t playing Russian Roulette.
At the Tsai-ko Q&A w/ JD, the Gov said he’d go to the HTA (Hawaii Tourism Auth.?) to get the funds for the travel reimbursement for the teams we’re playing in the MWC (& BWC ?). Don’t know how that will fly since money is tight everywhere, but at least he’s supportive in that respect.
Is the Wahine VB game only on rajio today? Not even PPV broadcast? 🙁
I remember going to those games and we were pretty good even in those days. I saw the Grambling Marching Band in that stadium.
The one memory that sticks with me is that we were doing quite well one year and we were going to play some geographical directional school from Texas. People did not think much of the opponent. I was standing by the tunnel on the bleachers when these guys came out and I went, “uh, oh…”
They just ran over us. It was quite a sight to see those black uniformed players just manhandle our team.
How’s Stutzmann doing?

We were part of the UH welcoming group to go down to the airport and meet the Grambling group (Coach Eddie Robinson was a class act). The had chartered a 747 and as we walked through the airport it became quite silent as the 100’s of Japanese tourists as well as everyone in the terminal had never seen that many African Americans in one place, at one time. Do you remember the band leader’s feather touching the ground as he came out for the pre-game & 1/2 time?? What a show

Wow, great to see Warriors able to reload at the skill positions in spite of all the injuries. Yes, they don’t have the Pilares/Salas chemistry built on years of reps, but they have the speed and the skills and that is where coaching starts showing these guys and Mo how to get the most out of what we have. Looking for great things as the offense continues to build that 6th sense chemistry for routes and throws and receivers blocking for receivers.
Is it just me or did London Sapolu look very confortable. We will see how he looks in Idaho. We could really use having the O-line chemistry and efficiency while others struggle.

Hey wafan! You posting from Echo Point? 😉
Don, yes I remembered that. Up until that point, I had never witnessed a band doing so many things besides playing music. It was simply the best thing I saw.
D1shima, you’re correct it was an “alphabet” school not a directional one. They were simply overpowering. Didn’t they run a wishbone?
wafan goes from not being able to post to infinite posts. 😆
DPK and jmq9wqe0ruqwerwer . . .
Kinda embarassing.
Dunno what is going on.
Maybe the influence of Halloween?
Dang!!!
I can post from IE. What the heck happened?!?!
Don:
“Do you remember the band leader’s feather touching the ground as he came out for the pre-game & 1/2 time?? What a show”
I don’t remember the game, but you bring back memories about the Grambling marching band during the half time show. Wow.
#113 – are we talking about Texas A&I? During Larry Price’s Hula T days?
re #118 – see D1shima beat me to it.
Was at that A & I game. It was shocking to most people that a lower division school could thoroughly out play us. Their QB last name Richie? ran the option to perfection. Think he made DII all american.
Those Labrum tears… isn’t that what Colt had on both sides, as well?
Buffoman,
W-bone sounds about right.
…not a good way to open Aloha Stadium. 🙁
Koakane, saw your post on uhwsb. They released 2012 schedule. What school she transferring to?? Hahahahaa
Like read more stuff like this ??? – don’t know if it has been posted.

Congrats to the Wahine! On to raisin country…
🙂 Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Great job by the Wahine VB team in sweeping SJSU somewhat comfortably today!
If they can take care of business at Fresno and Reno, November will be a truly restful month for them.
here’s this past weekend’s results for our Warrior foes

What a busy day!
Just got home…
Happy Birthday Chanteal!
Way to roll, WAHINE!
Anyone has any information regarding Black Friday saleses event in Miami where I could buy shoes or purses from Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik or Jimmy Choo?
The Vibram FiveFingerskso shoes take on a tricky challenge. Body mechanics can get quite complicated. Especially when it all starts with your feet. The Vibram FiveFingers shoes are a minimalist or “barefoot” shoe that improves your body mechanics by letting your foot work the way it should and not the way it does in a shoe.
Hau’oli la hanau, Chanteal!
Nothing like having a glass of wine and watching UH winning football game… aaahhhhhh
Congrats to the Wahine VB team!
Looks like all of the non-AQ targets aside from Air Force for the Big East met together with the Big East on Sunday.

ai-eee-soos,
The interesting thing about West Virginia leaving (the Big East has known about that for a week) is that Boise State, Air Force, SMU, and Houston tried to convince the Big East on Sunday to invite BYU to replace West Virginia. The Big East could really cast a big shadow over the MWC’s next TV deal if BYU joins that group.
San Diego State approached the Big East just like they tried to get the Big 12’s attention.
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2011/oct/25/sdsu-tries-ride-realignment-wave/
San Diego State hopes that Louisville goes to the Big 12 to help SDSU get into the western division of the Big East.
San Diego State seems to think that the MWC/CUSA alliance will not get a good TV deal if the Big East takes away most of the big draws of the alliance.
Hi , awesome post. Sport is all forms of physical activity which, through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical fitness and provide entertainment to participants.
This is some of the best plastic surgery marketing I’ve ever seen!
Reason 10000200010 that Mack isn’t competent enough to coach.
He just claimed Moniz is better than Colt tonight on the call the coach show and A blind person could see how false that statement is.
wow, looks like the pressure is getting to coach mc.
i think if coach mc just concentrates on the positives of da warriors, he would resonate a more positive feeling. comparing colt to moniz is stupid. criticizing fans about the pats or fgs is stupid. trying to make excuses is stupid. best thing is being honest and excentuate the positives of da warriors.
i can see the present big 12 teams traveling to west virginia and their followers going where the f….. is west virgina????
money may not be the problem with all the realignment of conferences, but you think the fans will be able to afford all the travel during the season. their travels will be worse than the travels of uh.
imagine bsu in the big east and have a game with syracuse. how the hell do you get from boise to syracuse????? or visa versa????
bsu complained about the travel cost to hawaii, but wait till they see their bill air bills going east.
i can see our he boise grads going to rutgers, syracuse, etc for games. might as well go to vegas three times and it’s cheaper.
8 and that is not bad
i think ralph “appreciates” that his wildcats will need to travel by bus, then air with i don’t know how many stops before they arrive in w virgina, then still have to ride a bus to get to uwv. imagine in nov, when weather is a factor. ouch, ouch, ouch!!!! not to mention that the cyclones may have to do the same.
Healing prayers to all the ailing members of the Tsaiko Ohana
Pomai, can you please put me down for: Warriors 50 Vandals 13. Mahalo.
and the ncaa said that they want to keep distance and travel time when making their schedules. what a joke!!!!!!

In the 70’s Grambling did visit with about 8-10 NFL prospects including Gary “Big Hands” Johnson. It was a long day for the WARRIORS. That same year or the one after Texas Southern featuring Charles Philyaw a sophomore were defeated by the Warriors. Philyaw went on to a career with the Raiders and at the time was the biggest NFL player at 6’9 290 or so…..
Great Hump Day!
Tsigh, more inane meetings with administration today.

If I were a fb-supporter who makes a modest income of any of these far west schools who are contemplating going to the bigleast…I’d be pretty pissed to have to dig deep into wallet, if anything at all to go east like what?!, five-six times a year to watch my team play on the east coast?…and what if I’ve got a family of 2-3 extra people?
All of a sudden, the “one” long trip to Hawaii, once-every-two-years doesn’t seem too bad at all!!
These schools are doing what’s good for themselves everythingelse, including their supporters/fans comes secondary…..oh well!??, such is the greed of college sports nowadays.
I get it…..where else will these institutions find operating $$$$, what with the financial situation nationally???? will fans tune-out oneday out of disgust?
Trevor Davis is indicative of the quality of the type of talented recruits we have coming into the program. He seems to have a good work ethic that will assure his success. I really feel bad for Allen Sampson as he was playing at a high level and was just coming into his own.
Great Morning All!
Sounds like several players will be “sucking it up” on the road trip. It’s that time of the season.
