UH football: On their own

Once again, the players took control, conducting their own workouts. After going through 45 minutes of plays, they decided to have a little fun, with players switching sides during a game of two-hand touch. (Safety Trayvon Henderson’s turn as a running quarterback is impressive. Check the video below.)

    2nd, maybe?

  4. Da Punchbowl Kid July 16, 2016 9:43 am

The three safeties look dangerous just standing there. I feel bad for the guys trynna make a play on there.

Great pics – I’m not sure if you can “feel” chemistry just looking at pics and vids, but these guys appear to have that chemistry.

I love Anguay holding the phone – apparently he’ll be studying pics/film of himself so he can make a better O-line man should the need arise.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  5. Da Punchbowl Kid July 16, 2016 9:44 am

*make a play on them* that should read above!

    DPK:
Ah, just remember that Anguay first committed to UH as a high school junior, on June 21, 2009. His first special teams coach at UH was Dick Tomey.

We’re going to do some things to celebrate the 10th anniversary next week.

  9. AllG July 16, 2016 11:28 am

Have they thought about using Malachi as a safety/linebacker hybrid kind of like how Arizona uses Buchanon? He’s a good player but it seems like he is having trouble putting on that pure LB size.

    can you feel it??????

all that pent up emotions from 2015 ready to be unleashed in a few weeks

disappointed that the late RB signee decommittment to commit to CAL who is UH first opponent and loser for 2016 — will be close game, but UH will prevail — just now had a premonition that UH will blow out Cal.

ready of not — here we come!!!!!

    good to see you!!!

  15. BigFan July 16, 2016 1:37 pm

Which RBde-commit are you referring to Col. Ahouse?

  19. Da Punchbowl Kid July 16, 2016 2:28 pm

    Maybe Pokemon’s looking for him.

  20. kahuna July 16, 2016 2:41 pm

#17….I thinnk A-House must have been talking about Rickey Walker III. He was commit to UH but is now at Cal. I don’t think its that great a lost. I think Freddy Holly is going to be a star.

  21. A-House July 16, 2016 3:25 pm

    kahuna:

thanks for keeping me straight – yep, this is the guy I was thinking about.

will he be great X-mas present??

I long to return to the Sugar or Fiesta Bowl – hope in this life time.

  22. Jr July 16, 2016 3:29 pm

Where is that recruit kamoku now did not see him on the roster.

  23. Shoko July 16, 2016 4:03 pm

I think Camanse-Stevens, Collie, Stubs and Kemp is going to be really good this season. Hope they air it out in Sydney and turn it into a high-scoring game.

  24. kahua July 16, 2016 4:12 pm

Someone close to the program stated that grade could be a problem for Kamoku Noa. Don’t know if he is currently in summer school to remedy the situation but could be the reason he is currently not listed on the roster. That is not to say he cannot be added on later but him missing these voluntary workouts will put him wayyyyy behind everybody else. Guys like Nic Tom and all the other walkons will be ahead in terms of getting in shape and learning to how to prepare for D1 style practices.

  25. Jeezy33 July 16, 2016 4:57 pm

    23. Ursua is a lock to start so gonna have to boot one of those guys.
Probably Ursua and Kemp locks with others rotating.

  26. Inyoface July 16, 2016 4:57 pm

Michael Jordan will be honorary captain for Michigan’s home opener against Hawaii. That’ll be something.

  27. al July 16, 2016 5:14 pm

    24. Totally agree on that. I also believe that Camanse-Stevens’ toughness will give him a lot of reps.

  28. al July 16, 2016 5:16 pm

A house…if we were to run a wildcat, I’d go with Ursua first. He can also toss the rock.

  29. al July 16, 2016 5:18 pm

Offensively, this could be a fun team to watch develop.

  30. Da Punchbowl Kid July 16, 2016 5:37 pm

I think we will be loaded at RB. Maybe if we could add one more NT/Big Back like this guy:
