Rolo-ing the rock

That was indeed Nick Rolovich whipping passes during today’s sixth practice of spring training. Rolovich was showing the young’uns some offensive plays. He did rifle a nice pass to wideout Don’Yeh Patterson.

“He’s still got it,” quarterbacks coach Craig Stutzmann said.

Rolovich also answered a dare from cornerback Zach Wilson, who had jokingly questioned whether Rolo could still wing it. As the moldy saying goes: old quarterbacks don’t die, they just pass away.

The top backups also had a nice day. Cole Brownholtz and Cole McDonald rotated at No. 2, and they displayed skill with their arms and feet.

Of the backup QBs, I thought Cole Brownholtz had the edge. Waiting for Rolo’s comments. All in all, Warriors looked good.

On the 3 videos #75 I think it’s Lalepo Naotala. If it is he looked like he held his ground. Look pretty good in the video but it’s still early.

So far, this has been a great weekend for UH Athletics. Wahine Basketball beat LBS to close out their regular season; Beach Volleyball won their double header today to open their season a perfect 4-0; Baseball beat the Minnesota Gophers for the second time this week; Wahine Softball won their double-header today; and Men’s Volleyball beat USC again last night to notch their 17th consecutive win at the SSC this season.
