Pop music at practice

The first week of spring practice is in the books, and there was plenty of hitting and pad-popping. Unfortunately, because I’m a peon, the site says my videos can’t be directly uploaded to the blog. So I have to post them on Youtube, and then post a link. My apologies.

It’s a beautiful day at The Les.

In my opinion it hard to describe the importance and role Kory played this past year. He played with guts and fervor that is not in many or most. I wish him great success as he moves thru life-A true Warrior!

    Great Afternoon All!

No can blame a guy (widda Bachelor’s degree) for deciding to forego an iffy career in da League. It’s brutal!

    Das it

If I am not mistaken, Kory is a daddy so its now time to provide for his family and watching the baby grow up.
Chasing a NFL dream can mean missing watching your kid grow up. You have to live in the gym, c0nstantly working out and dream football all day long….and still the chances of make the NFL is not that great.
Good luck Kory in your next phase in life. Maybe coaching could be something he would like to do in the future.

Is there a lunch at Willows tomorrow? And who will be speaking? I can’t find a schedule anywhere. Mahalos.

  11. setaone February 26, 2017 4:32 pm

With so many offers made, how do the coaches handle acceptances greater than the scholarships available? Is it first come first served?

  12. kapakahi February 26, 2017 4:33 pm

FYI…….tomorrow’s Honolulu Quarterback Club luncheon is at Maple Garden……2 blocks Ewa of Willow’s.

Mahalo for your reply and the information, kapakahi. But isn’t there also a lunch at the Willows? I have attended at both places within the last year.

  14. 808warriorfan February 26, 2017 6:34 pm

Mahalo for laying it on the line and being a “Rainbow Warrior” … best wishes on your new endeavor … hopefully this will be a lesson for the local H.S. Seniors to be who have been offered scholarships by UH … think of your post playing days in other words moving on after football w/ your life … making a name for yourself as a “Rainbow Warrior” will give you an edge when it comes to finding that job after football …

LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS !!!!!

    Capt Ron:

It is my understanding that NaKoa has its luncheons at the Willows only during football season and is solely for football.

It use to be that the Quarterback Club lunch has football stuff on its programs but NaKoa seems to have a monopoly on that and so the Quarterback Club focus is on all sports other than football.

  17. Capt Ron February 26, 2017 8:49 pm

Thanks, tom. I didn’t realize it was seasonal.
