USA Volleyball makes it official: U.S. -China here in June

Had mentioned this last week but got the official word today.
U.S. vs. China June 5-6 at the Sheriff Center. Still no ticket info.

A comment on the previous thread was about this being a reward for the great fan turnout from last season.

I think that is true in part, as well as the fact that Lang Ping is coaching the team. She was here in 2001, hosted at a lunch by the Chinese Society.

Here’s the story I did during her visit. She said she always enjoyed playing in Honolulu.

It’s really great for the USA and China volleyball team to play in Hawaii!. That’s the way to get money for the University of Hawaii campus. The truth is the food in Hawaii is really much better then in the state!. But if you been in the state the Chinese food is not to great then Hawaii! Like when you order Chow Mein your noodles are spaghetti or large egg noodles. That’s why, I always say to my friends that visit me! They is no places like home in Hawaii!

Cindy, thanks for the link to the Ling article. Great read. Can’t wait to see both teams play in June. What would also be nice is see how TeamUSA has improved. When they were here last, they were still a work in progress and one or two key players were missing. Hope they all make the trip this time.

David J hmmm just shaking my head. How do you that? You just destroy grammar. If you learned how to write a good sentence than maybe your sharing of your thoughts might have some clarity. You have said from a previous post that you are a college student. I doubt that seriously by the way you write. I promise never to read another comment you write so that I won’t have to comment on your writing skills again.

cause we all know that the primary purpose in communication is to look good in writing/speaking and not to relating.

the bloggers themselves are usually alone (and isolated) and so reading anything that could possibly edify and bring a bit of joy/understanding is not for everyone.

    3. they were missing a few players. Not sure what the team will look like by June. They are always a work in progress, especially in a non-Olympic year.

Scott Wong just got one of the best middles in 2016 in Jasmine Gross, Makes me wonder if she was considering UH before he was hired by Pepp.

I hope Hartong will be with team USA this summer. Kind of given up on Kanani joining the national team

Please vote for Taylor for player of the month, he really deserves it over the other candidates imo.

    7. Much depends on Danielson’s health and the timeline with her pro team. Kiraly has said he really likes Hartong.

Warriorfan, scott said he would not go after recruits that hawaii was going after aggressively. So I doubt it. She probably wanted to go to pepperdine and scott wong sealed the deal
