US sixth at Pan Ams, Walker at Wahine camp, video

at bottom of post there is a video link from camp under Walker’s pictures
Coaches and UH players were demonstrating different types of plays at the beginning of the last day of camp. The rally allowed for what Shoji calls out at the end “This is called transition.”

Averill didn’t play in Friday’s match against Cuba as the Americans lost 28-30, 25-22, 25-14, 25-22
The U.S. finish sixth. Next up is the Pan Am Cup Aug. 12-17 in Reno. Most of the Pan Am Games Cup roster supposed to play then. Not sure about Averill

Also dropped by the UH volleyball camp today. Campers being taught by current and former Wahine and a few Warriors such as Josh Walker, Scott Hartley and Kolby Kanetake.

Sounds like Walker is up in the air about his future pro career in Europe He and wife Tehane celebrate their 1-year wedding anniversary Saturday. They also have a 3-month old daughter.

He said he had a great time playing in Finland, best of his pro career, and played with Lauri Hakala’s younger brother.
