    SandBows up 2-0 on LMU
Iosia debuts at No. 4, with Zalopany, win 21-17, 21-18.

    Maglio/Weaver win 21-10, 21-16

No. 1’s needs a change. They’re about to lose their second match of the day.

  4. uhfan March 10, 2017 4:58 pm

    Taylor/Schucht win 21-18, 21-15

    Martin/Tucker lose 19-21, 16-21

    Wahine win 4-1

Is Martin/Tucker the strongest pair on the team, or is this a strategic move to have a better chance to win at the other flights?

  6. Cindy Luis March 10, 2017 5:12 pm

No. 1 always a tough flight. LMU’s Sponcil was an All-American as a freshmen two years ago.
Tucker-Martin the only pair that has been together since fall, at least in today’s match. were you calling for a change last week when they went 3-1, the loss coming in 3?
every other flight has indoor players who only joined a few weeks ago. and Tylor was a late addition so I’d say they’ll work it out as the coach wants. and see what happens tomorrow when they play the same schools.

Glad Norene played, now I wish Annie did too.

Did the 6’s play at all?

Hawaii can’t take either team for granted. Stetson lost to LMU.

I personally like Martin and Tucker at flight No. 1. As Cindy mentioned, lots of strong flights, but the two can compete. And I dunno, but Tucker/ Schucht, Maglio/Weaver, and Homayun/Kan have been so dominate.

We’ll see how Hawaii does next week with Florida and USC.

They have yet to face teams that have depth, the teams they have played have one strong pair at the ones and then patch work pairs. Martin/Tucker are facing the best of the best. Already beat the twins at Arizona who gave Maglio/Speiler fits last season and the season before.

I vote for Nikki and Emily at the #1 spot. Twin Towers they would dominate!

    11. that won’t happen. Games are too similar. you want complementary.
