Long Beach State setter Missy Owens has transferred to Texas Tech
As a sophomore, she started all 31 matches for the 49ers in 2016, compiling 1,225 assists and a team-leading 31 service aces. Her 10.56 assists per set ranked second in the Big West Conference and helped Long Beach State finish with the second-best hitting percentage in the conference at .256. Long Beach State accumulated a 21-10 overall mark in 2016, finishing second in the Big West with a 13-3 record.
