Wahine Sneaker Drive for YO at Senior Night

The Rainbow Wahine have been doing community service for a few years with Waikiki Health’s Youth Outreach (YO) program for homeless youth on Oahu.
Saturday they’re asking fans to bring new or used sneakers that they can bring down to program. Game is at 5 p.m.

Beeman said that the players are very committed to this and some of them know they were one bad step away from being homeless as well. So they have embraced the program while also sending the message to stay in school and use the talents you were given to succeed.

They’ve been doing this quietly for a while but now that they’ve been getting more media attention, they have decided to use this as a way to get the message out to more people.

Just another reason to love Coach Beeman. Not only an excellent Coach, but also teaches life lessons to her players and now her fans. Blessed to have her here.
