Warriors will debut new helmets
The Warriors will unveil their new helmets during a private ceremony with donors on Aug. 13.
Nick Rolovich said the Warriors will have two sets of helmets to provide more sartorial options. He said these are new helmets, not refurbished ones.
Donors contributed to the cost of the helmets ($450 apiece). A donor’s name will be inscribed on the inside of the helmet. There were several donors who paid for at least 10 helmets.
Last season, the Warriors wore white helmets with an H logo for all their games.

I hope with the new deal struck with UA , we’ll get new helmets too….
I hope they bring back that “signature” metallic green helmets with the Warrior tattoos back…It was very distinctive and formed an “identity” for our team on the television and on the mainland. White helmets are just too pristine to make any kind of positive impression.
Would be nice to have a sticker of Kalepo’s number on the back of each helmet.
New helmets excite the fans. The players too, I suppose. So this should equate to helping the team win games. First game up, UMass.

Always good to have new stuff for the team and much mahalo to all the donors who came through for the team. It’s all about the people, the players. They are the ones who wins, or loses the games. The is nothing wrong with the H tapa design. It is a fact that the UH dark green helmets are one of the best in college football by many surveys taken. I give all the credit to June Jones and Mr. Kurt Osaki from Kauai who did the design. It is classic.

Da Boyz looked more menacing and it just looked way better than our crappy white helmets… I really miss our helmet color and uni’s from the June Jones Era ????????????

Matlin said on 1420 the other day that new football uniforms take a year to develop. It’s up to each sport to use their allotment as they see fit. UA doesn’t supply helmets so that’s not part of the agreement.

Looked over the fall roster and noticed that Isaia Mullen is listed as Isaia “Leeth.” Name change? Also did not see Blessman Taala and Josaiah Maama. I hope they are checking in later.
