Media Summit, part 2

LAS VEGAS — It’s the second day — wait, second or third? — oh, anyway, we’re back again at the Cosmo for another round of the Mountain West Media Summit.

Everyone is still abuzz about Rolo bringing “Elvis” to yesterday’s session.

The publicity was well worth the $700 Rolo paid for Elvis’ two hours of time.

Today’s buzz is Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen, who is considered one of the top 2018 draft prospects.

Three QBs — Allen, Boise State’s Brett Rypien, and CSU’s Nick Stevens — played blackjack and three-card poker last night. Rypien, a diehard Gonzaga fan, also ran into North Carolina coach Roy Williams.

Here are some leftover pics:

Middle linebacker Jahlani Tavai and Dru Brown
San Jose State coach Brent Brennan and Rolovich

And at the Wicked Spoon buffet, the most popular dish was bone marrow. Yeah, I don’t get it, either.

Is Wicked Spoon as good as people say it is?

ST: Bone Marrow . . . in my family, we used to fight over the marrow. It’s like sweet beef pudding.

Wicked Spoon is my favorite vegas buffet. Better than Bacchanal at Caesar’s IMHO. Studio B Buffet at The M is pretty good, too. I would skip all of them and just go to Fogo de Chao up in Summerlin instead, though…

    Great Afternoon All!

3 Oppo QB’s are all old enough to gamble. Hope the DC knows how and when to roll the dice.

    Das it

pic of Rolo, Brown and Tavai — Tavai is said to be 6′ 4″ — Rolo looks to be 6′ 1″ max – – what does it make Brown? 5′ 10″ tall?

love bone marrow!!! we ate it at Wicked Spoon, but it was not seasoned enough — so says our resident Sous Chef — when we ate it

long term memory — growing up, Mom always set aside the morrow for our Dad — I tried to take it and got a healthy wack from Mom!

practice started today? or, was it “processing day”?

Mid Week had a nice article about Jason Rivers — yep, I am one of many who talk with him and conversation comes down to 2006 and 2007 team.

hope in my life time UH makes it to another big bowl game — oh, happy days!!!!!

Being “picked” 2nd? This falls into my who cares and so what basket, just like last year-climbing out of the dumpster even in polls is great-only winnng counts and I don’t see any gimmes on this schedule. I do believe they will have a winning record. So now that’s all over let’s get on to prep/practice for UMass 4 weeks from now! GoWarriors!!!!

    Howzit Tsaikos!
Forgot to post this yesterday. OC Smitty said on the sports animals that Ulu-Perry is penciled in to start at center.

Bummers…….that Kapolei HS DE Kukea Emmsley committed to Boise State over UH.

Me thinks not just a coincidence that he decided to commit today…….on MWC Mountain Division Media Day.
