UPDATE: Stefan Jankovic and Hawaii’s other pro prospects were not drafted today. They will pursue free agent opportunities.

With the 2016 NBA Draft nigh — and the possibility of a Hawaii basketball player getting drafted in Stefan Jankovic — why not take a look at the ranks of Rainbow Warriors currently playing pro ball?

With information compiled largely from Eurobasket, here’s the list of ‘Bows in the pros as of the 2015-16 season, listed by the last year they played at UH.

Besides Jankovic, you can expect Aaron Valdes, Roderick Bobbitt and Quincy Smith to join this list in next year’s edition.

A couple of notes about the list:

>> Carl English, at 35, is the oldest UH baller still going. He played in Puerto Rico last season.

>> Matt Lojeski is still the most prominent player among former ‘Bows, competing for Olympiacos in the prestigious Euroleague.

>> Former UH teammates Christian Standhardinger and Brandon Spearman have played against each other on rival teams of Germany’s Pro A League for the last couple of years.

>> Jared Dillinger probably has the largest fan following. He’s a cult hero in the Philippines and has over 100K followers on Twitter.

As you’ll see, information was incomplete on some guys, a couple of whom I’m pretty sure are still playing but their last team was listed in 2015. If I’m omitting anyone, feel free to chime in at the bottom and I’ll try to add them.

This list includes guys who played at UH but finished their college careers at other schools.

    Is Troy Ostler done playing?

  2. 808 June 23, 2016 4:25 pm

    Also, Riley Luettgerodt?

808, yes, both of those guys are done playing. Ostler was pau around 2011 I believe and Luettgerodt didn’t play very long, I don’t think.

I like to know about formeUH players who are coaching. A. C. Carter for instance.
