Alumni game taking shape

The Hawaii basketball alumni game is coming together.

Former Rainbow Warriors will match up with former Rainbow Warriors for bragging rights before the current Rainbows take on Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 14 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The format will be two 15-minute halves of running clock. Tickets for the 7 p.m. CSF game will count toward admittance for the alumni game at 4:30 p.m.

Here’s the list of former ‘Bows set to participate so far. You’ll notice a theme — it’s quite a few guys from the mid- to late-1990s.

There will likely be others added to this list as well.

Eric Ambrozich
Jason Carter
Rykin Enos
Kawika Hallums
Ryne Holliday
Phil Martin
Kalia McGee
Pii Minns
Woodrow Moore
Miah Ostrowski
Geremy Robinson
Tim Shepherd
Kelii Silva
Justice Sueing
Johnny White
Artie Wilson

Alumni attendees include:
Dennis Chai
Saint Anthony Clements
Al Davis
John Penebacker

That’s two (Davis and Penebacker) of the “Fab Five” from the early 1970s.

Participants will be honored at halftime of the UH-CSF game.
