Former All-State lineman to join Warriors
Michael Eletise, a former All-State offensive lineman and 4-star prospect from Kaiser High, is transferring from Arizona to the UH football team.
“I’m very excited,” said Eletise, who based his decisions partly on having “some family stuff to take care of. And my grandparents are getting older. It’s easier for them to see me play if I’m in Hawaii. I talked to my parents, and they were OK with it.”
Eletise, who played in all 12 games for the Wildcats this past season, recently entered the NCAA transfer portal, a list that notifies schools about players’ availability.
Eletise is 6 feet 3 and 315 pounds.
Eletise said he will complete the semester at Arizona, and then enroll at UH this summer. He is looking into the possibility of applying for a special exemption that will enable him to play this coming season without redshirting.

I hope he has a redshirt left. We need him 2020 with Tanuvasa after Hensley and Levao graduate. And what happened with Dalpe? Not on the Hawaii Athletics roster anymore.

he may displace a starter on the OL or be 1st off the bench — perhaps, coaches should seriously consider an OL “platoon” system wherein they rotate the entire OL on a scheduled or selected basis — this will keep the 1st and 2nd “starters” fresh an entire game — however, do not replace them only for running or passing — it won’t take a DC to notice and anticipate run or pass — or, run passing plays with the “run OL” and running plays with the “passing OL”
so many options with a single strategy!
#6 He left the team with about 2-3 games left in the season last year.
#2 He has two more years to play. If he has to sit out a year, then only 2020.
