Congrats to Walker, alumni award winner; Saturday scores

Hawaii men’s volleyball assistant coach Josh Walker will receive the program’s Pae Makaukau Alumni Recognition Award at Sunday’s 9th A’o a Koa Scholarship Dinner at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Walker, a former Rainbow Warrior outside hitter, ranks fifth in program history in kills (1,428) and was named a second-team AVCA All-American as a junior in 2010. The fourth-year assistant played professionally in Greece, Denmark, Finland and the UAE.
Sunday’s event begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes a silent auction. Tickets start at $75 and are still available at the door.
