Kamehameha DB commits to Warriors
One of the state’s top defensive backs — Tiger Peterson of Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama — told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser he has accepted a scholarship offer from the Warriors.
Peterson, who will be a senior this fall, said he plans to graduate in December and enroll at UH in January 2019. The timetable would enable Peterson to participate in the Rainbow Warriors’ offseason conditioning program and spring training.
“There were a lot of factors going into choosing Hawaii,” Peterson said. “The main thing was playing in front of my family. They’ve always been there for me. I didn’t want it to stop. I wanted to continue playing in front of them.”
Peterson’s father, Ronald Peterson, was a standout safety at Waianae High who was named to the all-state first team in 1989 and 1990.
Peterson said he is 6 feet 1 and 195 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.60 seconds at the Nike Combine in Texas. At UH, Peterson projects to compete at rover, a hybrid safety/linebacker position.
“Hopefully, I get to rush and drop back in coverage,” Peterson said. “That would be sweet.”
Great news! Welcome Mr. Peterson. It will be good to have a Tiger in our defensive backfield.
Zach and now Peterson. Specific types of skillsets and shapes. Terrific.
More great news for Warriors. Keep it coming.
Trolling for attention by disseminating nonsense that one thinks is clever, is nothing more than a lonely person of delusion, in his masturbating glory, feeding the roaches under his bed as his mom yearns for an enlightenment of change to shine upon her son’s desperate attempt at reaching for the stars.
ITT. Too bad they don’t take the hint and leave.
Sad to see Austin leave. Wish him the best.
Will be interesting to see who steps up as OH2/3.
I am still not a robot.

Remember that homage to “Mean” Joe Greene and the boy in the tunnel with Troy Polamalu? The Anglo-American boy pronounced Polamalu perfectly.
I remember thinking the world was heading in the right direction.
Man this is quickly becoming the season that could have been. Now we lost Leeth and Timoteo. How many players can we lose and still be able to put together a winning team? It’s getting depressing
Man what is going on with the commenting in this blog?
Unfortunately teams lose players. Whether it be from injuries, not fitting in, not getting enough playing time, losing interest in the sport or not getting it done in the classroom. Their have been other outstanding high school players not only in football, but school athletics in general that have gone on to play college sports but forgot or not accepted that as student athletes they are students first and athletes second. Because of their lack of succeeding in the classroom they are either suspended from playing or at the worst dropped from the team.
Let’s hope that Timoteo and Leeth are able to learn from this negative experience and turn it into a positive one.
And I am definitely not a robot …
I think
taryn hatcher, you are leaving me too soon.please give me one more chance.
It’s athlete-student rather than student-athlete, given all the time they spend on their sport. A report says it is/ was far more than the 20 hour limit per week, if that is the still the limit.
Time for the pesticide
Someone bought a bad batch. 😒
Taryn? Another transfer.
That’s great news about Tiger!

Have a bright day, everyone
Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
So good to see the ‘old timers’ still posting here. Have a good day everyone and an attitude of gratitude will determine your altitude.
Congrats to Peterson for being the first local commit. Love his perspective … this from Stephen’s story:
He said he plans to take courses that will lead to a post-football career in business or criminal justice.
“I like the life after football, the connections, that UH has,” Peterson said. “After football, I plan on living in Hawaii.”
