Nice, but they gotta stay focused and play the games. Hope the coaching staff are having the players review the New Mexico and UNLV game film.

If we were picked dead last in last years poll maybe we’ll be number one this season!

Hawaii was accused of not really being a state earlier this year.

It’s only sports, only football, but it’s sports, and football, America’s real religion, that makes an impression on the masses, especially SEC country.

For my mental health, I really hope Hawaii can transcend modest expectations and put themselves in contention for the Championship Series bowl spot allotted to the Group of Four’s highest ranking team.

Dru Brown, I believe in you. Even though I wish you were taller.

A good offensive line makes everybody better.

    Just in from the Advertiser:

LAS VEGAS >> Elvis has entered the building.

In predictably unpredictable fashion, Hawaii coach Nick Rolovich brought an Elvis Presley impersonator to meet and greet reporters at today’s Mountain West Conference Media Summit.

Rolovich and Paul Curtis wore matching aviator sunglasses. Curtis was adorned in a sequined outfit patterned after the one Elvis wore in Hawaii concert in 1973.

“I was not surprised he brought Elvis,” said UH quarterback Dru Brown, who was representing the Rainbow Warriors at the two-day event.

“That was a typical Rolo move,” middle linebacker Jahlani Tavai said, grinning.

Rolovich has dressed as Monopoly game’s Rich Uncle Pennybags at the Warriors’ spring game, and was adorned in full camouflage to sell Kids Day newspapers.

“The thing I’m impressed with is how he can do all that but continue to have respect from everyone,” Brown said. “He wants to win. That’s someone you want to play for regardless of whether he’s hanging out with Elvis or dressing in (military) boots during fall camp.”

The older Hatchie went to UW and was picked up by the Steelers but tore his ACL. I hope he learn his younger braddah how. Glad UH offered and hope he stay home and no go UW, but whatever’s best for these kids.

    Super excited for this season.

I’m a little conflicted on where we were voted. The boys need to step up and play higher than the level they were voted to be at. I am not surprised by the vote either. The other teams in the division haven’t proven themselves yet. But they are always capable.

    Go Warriors!!!
    Play Warrior!!!

Just so the referees don’t have any bets on the games or
    any grudges against Hawaii Warriors…

  17. Mytake July 25, 2017 7:28 pm

I’ll admit I pay attention to pre-season polls to see what people think of Hawaii football but, naming 1st team, Off. and Def. and ST Players of the Year is ridiculous

Alatasi must’ve decided that he wanted to wear Red again……..so now with Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns instead.
