At the invitation of the Army, the Warriors participated in team bonding exercises at Schofield today.
For the seven-station obstacle course, the Warriors traveled by helicopter to an obscure area.

Golden State has 17 active players on their Summer League roster, but only 12 of them took off their sweats. Noah Allen was one of the 12.
The four fouls in twelve minutes tells me that he can’t defend, but 4 pts. and 3 rebs. is a reasonably decent debut.

Withe the loss of Tupai and Taylor and Webb, what does the development of Josh Huaanio look like? Now a redshirt freshman he should at least be in some sort of conversation regarding depth chart-like they say “if a dog is gonna bite they’ll do it as a pup!” Eperone M should also be a prospect it was once said they project him to develop into all conference potential. Per ST someone thinks they have eight linemen the warrant starting jobs. My option is “eight is not enough” Myhope is that Coach Naeole can get at least up to 10 without a steep drop off and 2 or 3 more are capable-think Qb, Rb, Rec-Lb, Db, are welll stocked. OL and DL are an area of concern but upgrade at least in my option over years past. Looking at it from perspective of 7 or more wins-Anybody got any insight on Josh? As always GoWarriors!!!
We definitely took a hit in terms of depth with the lost of those 3 mentioned above…but I don’t think the”quality” will suffer as much. Tupai is a big loss due to experience and size but I think Eperone Moananu coming back is a big help. He played a lot two years ago and redshirted last season so he is eperienced and 2 more years matured. We got Fred Ulu Perry finally able to play. Might be rusty but his skill set and his strength should allow him to play all 5 positions.
Coming in is Graves, a JC guy with some college experience(even though only JC) but could help. Kipper and Vanderpool have the size to play. Could be good enough to be second string. I also heard Ales Sunia have been moved from DL to OL so he is someone that could be a future contributor.
If Naole can coach up the younger players we should be Ok. Only Tupai was a lost since neither KingJames nor Austin Webb played a down yet. Fred and Eperone both should be able to replace Tupai.

Old timers: Do you remember the touted lineman Dan Rice (?) who transferred from Ohio State to UH, only to never play a down and eventually transferred to Nebraska (read about him in Street & Smith’s Football Mag which was the bible for college football back then)? During those Pre-WAC/Independent days it was sometimes hard to keep track with all of the 4-year transfers that came (and went) from UH. Some turned out very well, while others not so much. Just some that come to my (fading) mind:
