Parting words

Nick Rolovich is conducting exit interviews with his players beginning today.

This is the last week of the spring conditioning drills. The last day of spring classes is next Wednesday. Final-exam week begins Monday, May 8.

Rolovich received this dashiki from linebacker Ikem Okeke’s parents. (Note the new Eddie Aikau poster on Rolo’s office wall.)

    Morning Tsaikos!
Good luck to all the Warriors in today’s exit interviews and final exams too!
    Massive layoffs at ESPN today.

Rolo, are you going to post an after spring depth chart, 4 deep at least. I know nothing is etched in stone, but I thought it might get the fan base excited about the upcoming season and maybe be able to sell more early season tickets. I know it would get me excited because right now, it seems like we are in a lull until I get my hands on Phil Steele’s magazine in late June, or early July. Anyway, hope the recruiting process is going well. I thought you had a very good recruiting class in February. Good luck to you, the coaches, and the staff and players.

The team needs new helmets and we’ve started fundraising. If you’re interested in being a helmet(s) sponsor, please click on the link below for more info.

    # 4 – hope it is a positive, we sure need some help in filling up a few venues there on campus and the stadium come the first game.

Plan to attend 2 away games, both in Nevada. Last time I was in Reno, was 9-11. We lost that saturday and lost very many Americans. Was a somber drive back to LAX, as a Warrior fan and Korean Veteran.

Bernard Quarles, Raphael Cherry, Warren Jones…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the legitimacy of the “black quarterback” still up for debate during this epoch in time? The early eighties.

Jonathan Demme died today. I remember standing outside Kapiolani Theater, sticking up for Raphael Cherry as Hawaii’s incoming starting quarterback. The film was “Stop Making Sense”, in which the year of its release, 1984, sounds downright prophetic.

Everybody should listen to “Once in a Lifetime” at least once in their lifetime.

Dick Tomey, I think, doesn’t get enough credit for being ahead of the curve, as an agent for social change.

So far, Neil Everett is still an employee at ESPN.

Britt McHenry gets to keep her job, but Dana O’Neill doesn’t?

I also like Eaamon Brennan and Jayson Stark.

The O’Neill firing is an outrage.
