Kinda feel for the guys on their 40 times. To go from 4.39 to a 4.6 for Butler is rather drastic. The wind gusts must have been in the 60s or something. Pretty good showing though. Great job boys!

Not a bad time for Kemp could be enough to get him drafted late.

  3. H-Man March 21, 2017 7:47 am

Besides Kemp, looks like Jalen Rogers and Makoa Camanse-Stevens had an overall good pro day. Wishing them lots and lots of good luck.

Interesting that RJ Hollis just did one more rep on the bench than a 170lb slot back. I know Anguay put up a monster number for his position, but Hollis should have been in the mid to high 20’s if he was training for these events.

It amazes how the Hawaii athletes always have some sort of disadvantage or adversity to face. Why would they schedule a pro day on a field where the athletes have to run on an incline? Everyone’s 40 times are skewed, which we all know good 40 times are what NFL scouts desire the most. Good Luck Warriors!!!

Pono, I gotta disagree with you on your point. Over 20 reps is more than sufficient, and the more compelling feature is how you translate either speed or strength into athletic performance. See how these lists of tackles from just two years ago did–see: http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/2/22/8087931/nfl-combine-2015-full-results-for-offensive-linemen

Specifically , La’el Collins widely considered one of the better young tackles had under 20 reps. Often, you will find the strongest or fastest players are not the best players on the team….
