Hawaii Football Film Festival

The Warrior coaches have spent the past three days watching what can be termed the Hawaii Football Film Festival.

From morning through night, they have analyzed videos of the top local prospects who will be seniors in the fall. They also have had separate sessions to watch videos of linemen and non-lineman players.

And they have been sending out offers — lot of offers – to 2018 recruits.

Spring training resumes with tomorrow’s 6 a.m. practice. Saturday’s practice will begin at 10 a.m.

The recruiting effort is strong, but it is what it is. Success will determine if the exodus to greener fields can be abated. In the end, those that want to be Warriors, will be Warriors. Those that go elsewhere will not do so for the lack of UH trying.
    Go Warriors!

    Guud Morning Tsaikos…Bootiful Day!

Guud to hear the Warriors are make early offers. Like to see our local boyz get their first offers from the Warriors. They’re in our backyard and the analysis should be the best of any school. Then how to ward off the poachers?

    Aloha kakahiaka, Tsaikos!

Eh, NorthShoreFan, hello to the wifey!

Wish I could be home to watch my alma mater USF play the UH baseball team.

    Latahs!

I’d like Rolo and his coaches to send out early offers to 4-5 star athletes in the ”
skilled” positions such as QB, WR, Corners, RB…DTs should also be on the radar along with OLs. I hope they get a good PK in this week’s tryouts or during the summer.

  8. bowwar February 23, 2017 11:09 am

ST: Did they have the QB and PK tryouts this week yet? Anything promising?

And each high school player should have his own movie title…

@bowwar I have to disagree with u on offering 4-5 star players early. Chow used to do that and I really looked at that as a waste of time because there was no way the program was in the position to lure those type of athletes. The only ones I could understand offering would be the players with Hawaii connections. But overall I love what rolo is doing with recruiting and I only see great things ahead!

I would only offer the 4-5 stars if they are Hawaii prospects or have some strong eonnection to Hawaii. 4-5 Stars do not go to other than the P-5 schools It becomes a waste of an offer.

Aloha kakahiaka Slugger! We surely do miss you at all the Tsaiko gatherings. Wishing you good health and wealth for the Rooster Year! Hope to see you soon.

If you don’t offer our boyz, you never know if they would come. Like anything else, if you don’t ask, you won’t get. The program is moving in the right direction and if we can build the foundation with our best grown kids then we’ll have to look elsewhere. Moving to the continent is not for everyone. Personal growth is best when you got good mentors and we got an outstanding staff! Good people and coaches!

Glad to see the effort being put in for the local kids … at the end of the day I’m one who feels we’ll welcome anyone who wants to be a Rainbow Warrior … if the local kids want to go away then “Aloha means good-bye” … Just remember it’s better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in the ocean …

LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS !!!!!

I applaud Rolo and his staff for getting the Hawaii name out there. Rolo is doing everything he can to put Hawaii in the conversation. Now people are talking about the Warriors. But Rolo needs help…like maybe a better TV deal where the country can watch Hawaii football…I guess we’ll see how many of these “verbal” offers become signings come signing day.

  19. A-House February 24, 2017 7:12 am

what happens if more than 25 accept offer?

are there any solid commit for 2018?

  20. NorthShoreFan February 24, 2017 8:33 am

    Guud Morning Tsaikos…Bootiful Day!
