UH starters Rosenmeier (for Matautia), Van Tilbrug, Mol, Franciskovic, Gasman, Fey, Tuileta.

  2. Cindy Luis February 10, 2017 5:28 pm

UH pulls away from a 13-13 tie to go up 20-14, and Worlsey serves it out after Uh was up at 22-16.
    Warriors win 25-16

Great get for Illinois. I like Tamas a lot and hated when he started at Nebraska. I like him again.

Glad to hear Charlie is giving Rosey the start. He’s deserving of it.

Still would like to see Fey and Tuileta switch out. They would still be both on the court passing, but I think Tui is a better hitter.

    Hawai’i takes the first set… 25 – 16

    5. yes, said that already

    UH wins set 2 25-15

  7. Cindy Luis February 10, 2017 6:39 pm

Kills by Fey and Rosenmeier finish the sweep at 25-23

Yay, Rosenmeier had a great game! With more playing time, he can only get better. Some guys do well in practice but the real deal is when they can transfer great practices onto the court when it counts. He has been the most consistent so far.

    3. Disagree really high contract for someone that hasnt been a head coach before, Illinois might have made a very costly mistake!!

Anyway that third set didnt seem to be great for the warriors but at least they got out of their with a win.

  10. Cindy Luis February 10, 2017 8:31 pm

    3. Wade said Rosenmeier’s been their most consistent player as of late.
    9. they used a lot of guys, swapped liberos. all things considered a good night.

Looks like the beach team picked up a commitment from Sabrina Hardisty a 2019 player they have three commitments for 2019 now !

#9 – You clearly have no idea how valuable Tamas was to Cal Poly during his time there. Their current top players are there because of his recruiting. Cal Poly ain’t no slouch anymore.

He also was the reason why Nebraska won their championship in 2015. He was that critical missing piece from that team.

He brings his wife with him. He also spent time at Minnesota under Hugh. Everyone has to be a first time head coach. And honestly, Illinois made out for the better by getting rid of their former coach who couldn’t even get their extremely talented team into the NCAA tournament. Tamas will be a very good head coach. I still can’t believe Stanford hired Hambly.

Today’s print newspaper has the wrong boxscore for the UCSD game. It shows the UCSB one. Example, attendance shown is 3,532 and Matautia is in the box.

    # 9 and 12. So you think we overpaid Greg McMackin?

    9. et al. it is just what the going rate is for the Big Ten.
