  3. H-Man August 3, 2016 3:18 pm

Wouldn’t have recognized Bryant Moniz with his “new” look. Kinda looks like the Frito-Bandito. Glad he is visiting to show support; same for Duke Bukoski.

  4. seewhy August 3, 2016 3:18 pm

Nice to see Bryant and Duke out there today!

Nice pix of the past and the future. Good to see Duke and Bryant waking up early to show love.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

Great photos here and interesting reading in the S-A, ST!

Do you need a ball cap with a foot-long tinted bill to protect your forehead and nose during summer camp? I got one…

Maybe this will stimulate some “chatter.”
Cal Bears final 2015 national statistics ranking by ESPN

    OFFENSE DEFENSE
    Rushing 82nd 102nd
    Passing 5th 93rd

I don’t about the rest of you, but these rankings do not exactly strike fear. With Goff gone, I can’t see where Cal will be able to match their passing efficiency. Are they better on defense?

Okay, I have my helmet on.

  8. islandman August 3, 2016 7:29 pm

Cal SCORING defense last year 89th, 30.7 pts per game. UH, 105th, 35.6 pts per game.
ESPN power index for 2016, Cal is No. 43, UH is No. 118.

I do hope that Austin Webb becomes a force to reckon with

unlike the other 6’8″ OL, years ago, from Wyoming or Nevada who never smelled one play in 4 years – believe he was #77.

Stephen: You are getting to be a good photographer. The photos are bright, sharp and clear.

  11. A-House August 3, 2016 7:56 pm

thanks, guys for keeping me straight

for a 6′ 4″ 245# DE, Aussie looks somewhat “thin” – Mrs A-house says he’s “whyrie” like the kicker in the movie “Replacements”

“have faith, hope, and charity and the blessed Lord you will surely please”

no, no, am not going the religious route — actually, as a young boy, I attended a Christian church until the Rev decided one Sunday to kick me out – so here is a 7 year old walking 2.5 miles home

then, as a teenager, I attended a Missionary Church — one Sunday, the Rev stopped his sermon to welcome the “La— boys” and the entire congregation turned around to “glare at us” – Rev then said only “sinners come to church” – never went back!!!

“faith” – in the UH coaching staff that they possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and able to transmit their football philosophy and offensive/defensive plays

“hope” — that the players will respond in kind to their coaches and diligently learn all the plays and increase their strength and speed

“charity” – ah, where will this take us??? how will we respond???

don’t know about the Lord, but it will surely please many fans who have stood by the program all these decades!!!

    aloha nou!

    A couple of things here:

Mr Tsai or someone in the know, can you explain the duties / definition
    of the following:
An “Intern” vs a “Student Manager”
I know each D1 team is allow 4 Grad Assistants and that is a 2 yr deal
at most. The Grad Assistant is also going to school and taking classes.

Also being that Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere I hope
“Rolo” reminds the equipment guys that it’ll be a bit “cold” down under.
    Still Winter there …

LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS !!!!!

It won’t be cold in Sydney. I was there in August one year and it was not cold. Hobart was chilly but that’s a long ways south of Sydney.
