Much thanks ST. Great pics and update.

  3. HawaiiMongoose July 6, 2016 10:09 am

Fantastic to see that some of the freshman have arrived and have already begun their Warrior journey.

  4. HawaiiMongoose July 6, 2016 10:09 am

    That’s “freshmen” not “freshman”.

  5. Maddog50 July 6, 2016 10:20 am

Mongoose I think you had it right “freshman”. I think Coach Rolovich et al have provided a nice breeze over the program. The players look happier and hairier than in recent past. So much to be said for fresh air! Here is to the Freshman!

  6. Duster July 6, 2016 10:32 am

Nice pics. Wow. They look like ballers with purpose. No one looks sloppy.

    Morning Tsaikos!
Here’s an article written by Steven Wright:

Faalologo was impressive, too. He was able to do a standing jump over the hurdle and jump-rope.

    Howzit Everybody,

Damn those young D-linemen look beastly. Look like they ready for the bright lights.
    Keep up the good work.

  10. kama krab July 6, 2016 11:56 am

And shout-out to my boy D-Stubs. Continue to do your think.

Love the photos and keep um coming! Good to see the freshman are here and the older guys are helping them with tips! Cannot wait for camp to start! August 1st can’t come soon enough! Let’s get it!

  12. Stephen Tsai July 6, 2016 1:09 pm

Of the four d-lineman training out there, three were raised in American Samoa and one in Australia.

It was a little hectic with yesterday’s start of Summer Session II. The first session ended last week Friday. And, of course, the bridge program started last week Monday.

  14. Stephen Tsai July 6, 2016 1:12 pm

Nic Tom made some nice catches.

  15. islandman July 6, 2016 2:36 pm

Wright pitching in game now on ESPN. Game in bottom of 4th, Red Sox lead 9-1.

  16. islandman July 6, 2016 3:39 pm

Wright got knocked out of the game with 3 hits, 2 runs in the 7th, no outs. Overall 5 runs, 4 earned, 7 strikeouts, one BB. But got a nice ovation walking off the mound.

  17. Jason Valentin July 6, 2016 4:54 pm

stephen when will the roster be updated? New numbers, new heights, weights, and incoming players..

  18. Warrior Dave July 6, 2016 5:12 pm

Whoo Hooo what an emotional roller coaster day. So blessed to just find out My name was selected for the cards. Honored to have a piece of University of Hawaii history in my hands. Mahalo ST and Avis!!

We have 15 starters returning from Norm Chow 2015 Warriors. Our Warriors open with the University of California bears – who are rebuilding this year. Our Warriors throughout the years played tough in their opening game. There is hope for our Warriors against the Bears….

#9 “Kama Krab” … sure hope you’re right especially w/ the loss of KT

  21. Da Punchbowl Kid July 7, 2016 4:46 am

Kiko looks great – want to see him have a break-out year. Viane? Wow! Hendrie? Ditto!

Returning skill guys are good to go. Fall camp starts soon!

    GO WARRIORS!!!

Losing your best player sometimes rallies teams to greater heights. The team didn’t get better, but they may actually win more games.

  24. cappie the dog July 7, 2016 6:47 am

I was really sad when Bo Barnes left Hawaii after his freshman campaign. Barnes was our first pure shooter since Matt Lojeski. It killed me.

Sort of pales in comparison to this Miami Heat/Dwayne Wade divorce, I guess.

Pat Riley had some good years with Anthony Carter.

Remember the game-winning illegal shot that counted during the post-season. That’s why I hate instant replay.

No Hand of God; no Immaculate Reception; no Anthony Carter behind the basket two.

  25. AllG July 7, 2016 7:54 am

Max Hendrie sure does look the part. Excited to see what he can do!
