Early plans

Don’t stay up late if you plan on checking out the Warriors’ spring practices this April.

Plans call for the Warriors to conduct 14 morning practices. The 15th, of course, will be the spring festival.

All practices will be open to the public.

Coach Nick Rolovich has not finalized workout times for the fall, but it appears the morning practices will be the preference.

The Warriors had morning practices when Rolovich was a UH quarterback in 2000-2001 and quarterbacks coach/offensive coordinator during Greg McMackin’s tenure.

The Warriors practiced in the afternoon during Norm Chow’s first season, in 2012, but then switched to the morning for the final three years of his term.

Expect the Warriors to hire a director of football operations in the next couple weeks. Brad Jones, who did everything from arranging meals to planning travel itinerary, was not retained.

The 2016 volleyball Warriors will be unveiled during today’s exhibition against SportConX in the Stan Sheriff Center.

First serve is at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for ages 65 and older, and $3 for ages 4 through high school. No admission fee for UH students with valid school ID.

Anyone happened to notice Coach Rolo’s tweet poking fun at the head Tsai-ko in charge? LOL!

  9. BigWave96744 January 4, 2016 12:32 pm

#7, Spring or Fall practices will never be streamed online. I don’t think any school would do this

  10. letsgowarriors January 4, 2016 1:12 pm

  11. Legistlature January 4, 2016 1:21 pm

Will definitely be at most of the practices. Warrior On

Expect the Warriors to hire a director of football operations
Should the need arise for what ever the circumstance we all need (a person willing to help out)an assistance. Maybe a director can have a volunteer from this blog to lend a helping hand.

I’m so happy that my Buffalo Bills have signed Greg Salas to a contract extension today. I predict he will be our 3rd string WR next year behind Sammy Watkins (who owned Revis island yesterday) and Robert Woods. GO BILLS!! GO WARRIORS!!

I liked your brother’s article on open captioning.

Even if you’re not hearing impaired, it’s good to throw on the subtitles feature on your DVD if you’re watching a film set in Northern Ireland or parts of England, where the accents render English as a second language.

    Best example: Danny Boyle’s “Trainspotting”.

I remember seeing it at the Varsity Twins and not understanding half of what was being said.

Football Scoop reports that Jackson St hired an OC so TC must be out.

Also, Mark Richt hired a GA to coach safeties. Assistant coaches have to start somewhere.

Hawaii makes its first-ever midseason appearance in Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology. The Rainbow Warriors are the #13 seed going up against Rick Pitino’s Louisville Cardinals.

    Probation present versus probation past.

ST, any idea when walk on try outs will be? Chow had tryouts late last year and after signing day. Curious to see when Rolo will set a date.

    How about some commit news!

Great to hear Rolo is the new H.C. As for DC & OC, they are great if you have talented recruits. You can only go so far with marginal recruits! Recruit great DL, LB, DB and OL. That is where the game is won, in the trenches! Just my observation. Go Warriors!
