Go Warroors! Got stuck in bad traffic in Chicago but finally on the way. Who does road construction on Saturdays? Oh wait..lol

  2. Kapahulu September 26, 2015 6:33 am

Kapahulu in Madison Wisconsin to Cheer on our Rainbow Warriors.

    Game Day.

    Go Bows !

  3. Kapahulu September 26, 2015 6:45 am

    Andrew:
We got stuck in Chicago Traffic too.
It seems like Chicago expanding their whole Freeway system.
Makes me feel like back home in Hawaii.

Madison temperature now is 72 degrees.
    Game time around 61 degrees.

  4. Stephen Tsai September 26, 2015 7:01 am

There was a little morning fog (haze) in Middleton. But, wait, if I walk 10 yards, I’m in Madison.

  5. Tarheel warrior September 26, 2015 7:13 am

    Let’s go warriors !!

  6. gigi-hawaii September 26, 2015 8:05 am

Good luck and best wishes, Warriors!
    Aloha from Hawaii.

  7. Tempmanoa September 26, 2015 8:17 am

Should be an interesting game regardless of the outcome. We are a better team than the one that played at OSU. Hopefully Bailey’s offense can find a rhythm and move the ball some on Aranda’s D (Aranda will see the last of his recruits in co-captains Lance Williams and Ben Clark). The defense that gave OSU fits will face a more run oriented power attack in Wisconsin and a new challenge for Mason and his troops.

  8. oneseason September 26, 2015 8:17 am

Looking forward to an exciting Rainbow Warrior game with some offensive razzle dazzle, and a stout defense. Let’s Go Rainbow Warriors.

  9. UpIrons September 26, 2015 8:22 am

So stoked for this game. I never get to see as many Warrior games as I’d like but after having the privilege of seeing them in person for the OSU game and now getting to see them again on the BTN I’m a happy camper this season. I know they can win this game! We Believe! Go Warriors!!!

  10. Ipu Man September 26, 2015 8:40 am

Max Wittek always seems to have a “worry” look
on his face. He needs confidence. Dink donk passes
and big runs (and blocks) and long dong TD scores!
Go Bows. Beat them Bad Badgers. 🙂

  11. 3-Prong September 26, 2015 9:31 am

Game Day. I don’t care what the spread is…..Beat Da Badgers. End Da Streak Gunfunnit! BELIEVE

  12. kev-1 September 26, 2015 9:48 am

What’s with the wrap on Wittek’s knee? That’s more than just the precautionary knee brace during the game. Hope he is okay.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  13. hitmanhart September 26, 2015 10:31 am

aloha everyone !! thank u ST for all the great photos !! k . Rainbow Warrior you can do this !! hoping for a big game max and mel davis !!

  25. UHfan808 September 26, 2015 2:12 pm

    Have a great game, everyone!

  26. H-Man September 26, 2015 2:37 pm

Oh, not good. Offense not moving the sticks. Tired defense no time to rest. Badgers just smashing them on the line.

  27. MattO September 26, 2015 2:43 pm

Man…that pass int call was pretty bad, but glad the D was able to hold this drive.

Let’s see if the offense finally get in a rhythm…

  28. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 2:45 pm

get a couple of first downs.. now..

  29. oneseason September 26, 2015 2:45 pm

Nice stop by UH. Horrible pass interference call against UH earlier. Glad Coach Chow chewed on refs.

  30. not Sean September 26, 2015 2:49 pm

    Where’s NeQuan Phillips?

  31. Rodney September 26, 2015 2:58 pm

Lets go bows! Lets go Max!!!!

  32. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 3:04 pm

the d is going to get tired in second half if this keeps up

  33. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 3:10 pm

get a fumble or interception now..

  34. NYUH September 26, 2015 3:12 pm

D doing OK. O? Play calling?

  35. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 3:12 pm

dang… bad spot now… but good for a 99 yard run or pass td…he he he

  36. Hank September 26, 2015 3:16 pm

    He was down.

  37. Hank September 26, 2015 3:17 pm

    Nice pass.

  38. Hank September 26, 2015 3:20 pm

#29 Nequan and Diocemy look like their in street clothes.

  39. Hank September 26, 2015 3:20 pm

    It’s up to our D.

  40. WarriorNY September 26, 2015 3:29 pm

Are these Refs being paid by Big Ten? How in the world was that a Pass Interference call…

  41. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 3:31 pm

    crap

  42. oneseason September 26, 2015 3:34 pm

I need to find the rule that says you can’t obscure a Big 10 player’s line of site to the football.

  43. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 3:42 pm

    hawaii 6 first downs
    wisconsin 17 first downs
wonmder why the defense gete tires…wonder no more..

10 minutes hawaii had the ball
20 minutes the other dudes had it…

one week stubblefield all over the fiels making catches..
next week..seems like he never even made the trip…

    either we come out blazing..
or go out in a blaze second half..
them dudes get the ball first…

  44. mctruck September 26, 2015 3:43 pm

It’s a shame the Badgers got UH offense figured out; when they don’t have to worry about the offense being able to score, they can pretty much stay on the ground and pound things away and run out the clock with low scoring offense themselves.

  45. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 3:46 pm

42… no rule…only unless it was ruled that his hand was touching the helmet n covering his eyes..

  46. mctruck September 26, 2015 3:46 pm

I think UH should change QB’s the second half, one who can scramble as well and see how it goes.

  47. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 3:48 pm

looks like another 10 punt game for sanchez.. but he is doing good..

  48. mctruck September 26, 2015 3:52 pm

UCLA 42 vs. Arizona 14…..in the 2nd qtr, with 1:00 min. to go.
Bet u UCLA climbs up a few notches from #9.

  49. Shoko September 26, 2015 4:00 pm

    Very nice play.

  50. H-Man September 26, 2015 4:05 pm

    Stupid mistakes.

  51. Hank September 26, 2015 4:09 pm

Allen’s late hit was a huge (and stupid) play.

  52. Shoko September 26, 2015 4:09 pm

Three on Allen killed that drive.

  53. Jack Flash September 26, 2015 4:10 pm

This is hard to watch. Go Bows

  54. Hank September 26, 2015 4:10 pm

Nelson’s dropped int in the first half also led to a touchdown. We can’t catch a break.

  55. WarriorNY September 26, 2015 4:10 pm

I’m not one to ever blame refs but what the hell is going on in this game… Should be 10-7 right now… f–ing ridiculous…

  56. H-Man September 26, 2015 4:12 pm

Dejon Allen takes the Warriors out of short yardage 1st and goal at about the 3. Then he takes them out of easy field goal range with another penalty. Need to sit him down to allow him to gather himself before he makes another silly, unnecessary mistake that hurts the offense.

  57. Markazulu September 26, 2015 4:13 pm

    Gener out with concussion

  58. Markazulu September 26, 2015 4:14 pm

Don’t worry warriorNY you ain’t the only one. Lol

  59. Hank September 26, 2015 4:15 pm

Our defense has played well enough all season … if only our offense could execute and find a rhythm.

  60. MattO September 26, 2015 4:16 pm

Another nice hold by the D – keeping us in the game. Now if only the O can stop shooting themselves in the foot…

  61. Hank September 26, 2015 4:16 pm

#56 one of my favorites can’t stay healthy to play 2-games in a row.

  62. Buffoman September 26, 2015 4:18 pm

If that was a penalty on the one on Allen, why was it a no call on the hit on Wittik?

  63. Markazulu September 26, 2015 4:19 pm

If Hawaii can get something on offense this game is gonna be pretty interesting

  64. Markazulu September 26, 2015 4:20 pm

    Paul Harris out with concussion

  65. Hank September 26, 2015 4:20 pm

    Drop.

  66. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 4:21 pm

    omg…. now we back to…run…run…pass…punt..

  67. Hank September 26, 2015 4:22 pm

    Stubblefield.

  68. Hank September 26, 2015 4:23 pm

    #63 who said? radio?

  69. kahuna September 26, 2015 4:24 pm

Geez..we losing all of our player makers. If we pull out this game, it will be the most miraculous comeback in history. No DSJ, No Harris, No Gener.

  70. Markazulu September 26, 2015 4:26 pm

Yup watching the game and listening on the radio lol

  71. nutmegger September 26, 2015 4:26 pm

    #67 – Radio

  72. Shoko September 26, 2015 4:28 pm

This is eerily looking like a repeat of the OSU game.

  73. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 4:30 pm

For those that took the 24.5… should start to get WORRISOME now…

  74. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 4:34 pm

We need to score this drive…
n not try run out the clock…with running plays…

  75. Markazulu September 26, 2015 4:34 pm

Besides the gener int against Colorado have we gotten a int?

  76. uhfan September 26, 2015 4:36 pm

#65 – you are correct. chow will try to keep the game close. too heck with trying to win.

  77. Shoko September 26, 2015 4:37 pm

    Someone getting DQ’d.

  78. H-Man September 26, 2015 4:38 pm

Badgers ran that touchdown play between the corner and safety and neither one made a move to cover the receiver. Now spearing by Hawaii on the kickoff return. What’s going on?

  79. obachan September 26, 2015 4:38 pm

If only our offense….just fill in the blank

  80. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 4:42 pm

    # 77.. my fill in would be …Colt…

  81. Shoko September 26, 2015 4:48 pm

    Q with 133 yards.

  82. Markazulu September 26, 2015 4:50 pm

Q having a really good game.

  83. Shoko September 26, 2015 4:52 pm

    UNLV 52 – Idaho State 8 (halftime)

  84. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 4:54 pm

Max is 50% PASSER..OR THERE ABOUTS…so when u have 2 running plays in a row…you looking at possible failure on moving the chains…when he passes for twice in a row…first down…

yet still when it was going good… they run for 2 downs…then have to pass on 4th…

  85. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 4:58 pm

wow unlv maybe reach 100 he he he

  86. Shoko September 26, 2015 5:01 pm

Yep, Q is the only receiver that seems to be a threat.

That UNLV- ISU score was something I was expecting (hoping) against Davis.

  87. Jack Flash September 26, 2015 5:01 pm

Same like the buckeyes game. Offense ineffective and defense tiring down the stretch

  88. WarriorNY September 26, 2015 5:01 pm

    St Anthony,
Wittek is still playing well in my opinion… I hope my NY Jets draft him next year… I’m a huge fan of this guy…

  89. H-Man September 26, 2015 5:01 pm

Well, checking out. Going to pick up dinner and get ready for Wahine Volleyball.

  90. WarriorNY September 26, 2015 5:15 pm

Goodnight folks… UH played well in my opinion, just couldn’t get the ball in the end zone…

I still think we are better than every other team in the MWC except for Boise…

  91. Shoko September 26, 2015 5:15 pm

Wittek is playing better tonight than against OSU where forced his throws in tight coverage ending with 2 picks. No picks tonight but still a sub 50% passer. Bright side is he won’t face that kind of defense after the Boise State game.

  92. st. anthony trojan September 26, 2015 5:22 pm

Yea me agree you warrior..he is doing ok..
But if he only passes for one out of 3 downs.. n incomplete…
    N 2 RUNS… NOT GOING TO WORK…
NOT HIS FAULT IN MY EYES…

  93. Shoko September 26, 2015 5:23 pm

    Utah 41 – Oregon 13 <——- Life after Mariota.

  94. Tempmanoa September 26, 2015 5:34 pm

Good effort but physically outmanned. Wisconsin is like the old Wisconsin smash mouth. Too tough on both sides of the ball. Our guys fought to the end

  95. Rodney September 26, 2015 5:35 pm

Beside Q the boys gotta raise their level of play
to help Max. Just my opinion but Max is good.

  96. Arcumfortis September 26, 2015 5:35 pm

Well at least the journey down murder’s row will be ending soon. I hope the team can keep its spirits up. The Boise game will be just as tough as this one. If we can be competitive against Boise maybe we hit the down slope believing in ourselves.

Still feeling the sting of dispointment about the needless roughing penalty at the one yard line. If we score there, momentum shifts and we start believing. We just can’t do those things against superion teams and expect to compete.

Hope none of our injuries are serious. I thought Max looked good for the most part. He needs an Oline that gives him time and receivers who can make the tough catches.

  97. hitmanhart September 26, 2015 5:39 pm

great game again for the defense.Offenseis hurting !! need better play calling !! we cant win game with the play makers not in the game !! and coach with was you thinking almost lose your qb on that trick play pass to max !!

  98. Old School Dave September 26, 2015 5:55 pm

UH played gallantly against a much more superior team, physically and skill-wise. They still showed a lot of heart. Hope there are no serious injuries. Need to gear up for Boise State, next week.

That’s what you get and is expected from an athletic program (Wisconsin) that has a budget of over $100 million vs one that has a $30 million budget. Just keeping things in perspective.

Watching Utah blowing out Oregon. Can’t help but to recall when UH used to regularly beat Utah in the old WAC back in the 80s and early 90s.

  99. frings September 26, 2015 6:06 pm

We can only hope some terrible calamity befalls both Ohio State and Wisconsin. Anyone see the bus accident in Seattle?

  100. mytake September 26, 2015 6:23 pm

All this means is UH is not a top 25 team. But i do believe they are better than 86th

  101. cappie the dog September 26, 2015 6:25 pm

The play where Wittek is hit late as a receiver didn’t necessarily have to be targeting, but couldn’t the contact still be interpreted as a late hit?

That was more contact than #50’s late hit on the Wisconsin defensive lineman.

He was hit late, but not square in the back; he wasn’t levelled.

The ref could have overlooked it.

    2-0 in moral victories.

  102. palolo2 September 26, 2015 6:26 pm

We used to kick Utah ST, UNLV, San Jose St, Fresno St, etc… with June Jones. I pray we can go to the Hawaii Bowl this year with 7 wins. So sad to start kissing okole for money from Ohio St. and .

  103. palolo2 September 26, 2015 6:34 pm

We have more dropped balls from Norm Chows 4 years than JJ and Coach Mac combined. I feel sorry for the receivers if they have poor coaching from Matthews.

  104. Bring back June September 26, 2015 6:50 pm

Other than the defense, which is playing real well at times, nothing has changed in 4 years with Norm ‘I am an offensive genius” Chow. Run up the middle, run up the middle, then throw a pass 4 yards downfield , not even far enough for the first down. You can change offensive coordinators, change formations, but the play calling is still awful. We are going no where with this guy in charge. Bring back June asap!
BTW, losing two games 66-0 are not moral victories, my God is that what we are satisfied with these days. Pathetic

  105. Willie September 26, 2015 7:25 pm

With conference play coming up it is going to be tough almost every week. Next game at BSU presents more challenges for the D as the Broncos a bit more diverse and dynamic offensively than OSU and Wisky, see match up concerns. Also both UNLV and SJSU don’t look as bad as their preseason predictions. Right now the SJSU running back looks like the reincarnation of Marshall Faulk.

  106. Willie September 26, 2015 7:42 pm

Watching USC’s Kessler the last few weeks and last year understandable why Wittek chose to leave. Kessler is very accurate, mobile with good feet and arm strength is above average. Of course he has a great O line to play behind, gazelle like receivers with tako suction hands and a stable of good backs. Hope that Wittek gets to show more of his skills going forward with more success.

  107. Willie September 26, 2015 7:48 pm

Wow, UNLV lays 80 on Idaho at home, 10 times what they gave up defensively. Small rout at home for SJSU over Fresno with 49 points so far and about 5 minutes left.

  108. Willie September 26, 2015 8:00 pm

SJSU back ran for over 300 yards and had 3 touchdowns against Fresno State. This was no UC Davis D.

  109. H-Man September 26, 2015 8:02 pm

Can’t say too much when the rushing game nets 16 yards; offense executes 52 plays; and the team has 11 penalties for 100 yards.

  110. iwonderwhytheyhateme September 26, 2015 8:13 pm

Feel sorry for the defense. While they couldn’t stop the run, our DB’s did a pretty good job at defending the pass and forcing Wisconsin to stick with the slow ball and run. Killing the clock and keeping the score low going into the half gave me hope that we could do something. But like we have seen the past few years, the offense still can’t get it together yet.

Receivers still dropping balls 3 games into the season. O-line did a half decent job at giving Wittek time for most of the game.

It shouldn’t have to be Pedroza OR Stubblefield. It should be both. Find a way to get them both of the field. I’d rather see Stubblefield in over Bernand or whatever his name is. Bailey needs to utilize both of them at the same time.

Lastly, those Big 10 referees can get lost in a forest somewhere and never come back. Atrocious.

  111. Inyoface September 26, 2015 8:17 pm

Seems like the refs were swayed by the fans or I hope they got paid off real well. Seems like all the calls were going in Hawaiis favor in the 4th quarter when it didn’t matter so the end result would look like penalty yards were even.

the issue isn’t wittek and it had nothing to do with the refs. It has everything to do with norm chow and the lack of offensive identity that this team has since he took over.

Maybe they’ll win against Boise State.

They tried hard, but why not rotate and play the better players now.

Positives are: compared to Ohio State game, no turnovers, offense moved the ball a little better, longest touchdown was 12 yards.
Negatives are: I won’t bother, everyone else will cover this and even invent some.

    Injuries really starting to mount.

Henderson & Hittner gone for the season…….with Haynes, NeQuan & DSJ still mending……and Kemp, Gener, Harris, Hollis & Butler all knocked out of today’s game.

DeMattei also out for the Boise St. game due to his targeting ejection in the 2nd half.

#113 Tiki, have you seen Boise State in action? Awesome, diverse and a real balanced offense with so many weapons. Not run dominant like Ohio State and Whisky. UH has 2 chances to win, extremely slim and none. Warriors will score a couple of TDs for the 1st time on the road, however the Bronco offense will score often and be too much for the anemic Chow based attack.

Boise St has an awesome team. I just don’t now how their coaching staff does it with a true freshman QB starting and he looks like a senior veteran. Their defense looks just as good as Ohio St and Wisconsin. Hawaii won’t score a TD in that game as well. Something is dreadfully wrong when the offense manages 16 net yards rushing; 11 first downs; 9 by passing, 1 rushing and 1 by penalty. Same scenario in three of four games. You can guess which game they did better.

Just read in Prep World McKenzie Milton is out for the yea, having suffered a severe shoulder injury with a bone sticking up to his ear. I wonder how this will affect his playing career?
