    Florida up 17-7. TO EWU

Eagles not playing that poorly but they’ve hit wide on a couple of line shots and step-outs.

Cindy, I may have stated this before. What I admire about you is your responding to people’s questions. That shows respect and a conscientious effort on your part as a person and a professional. I understand that you are not able to answer 100% of the questions but it sure seems like you do. None of the others who run blogs are responsive as you. Keep up the good work.

  8. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:05 pm

EWU hanging in there, but Florida has closed to 13-11.

  9. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:09 pm

alhassan quite the presence at the net. Great rally. Florida takes its first lead at 15-14

  10. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:11 pm

Alhassan with 6 blocks already. Florida pulling away at 19-14. TO EWU.
    now 21-15

  11. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:17 pm

    Florida wins 25-17.

  12. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:35 pm

Tied at 15. Ewu playing very well.

  13. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:42 pm

EWU has tied it at 20. TO Fla.

  14. Brandon September 10, 2015 5:43 pm

Surprised how well EWU is playing.

  15. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:47 pm

Lift called on UF. TO Gators Eagles eading 23-21

  16. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:49 pm

    EWU wins it 25-22

  17. Maverick September 10, 2015 5:50 pm

Wow, EWU took a set off Florida.

  18. islandman September 10, 2015 5:50 pm

    EWU wins a set, 25-22 .

  19. Maverick September 10, 2015 5:50 pm

From the stats, Alhassan is a monster.

  20. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 5:51 pm

    14. I guess but if you remember American took a set off them and could have gone five except American gave up 7 straight points in Set 4.

  21. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 6:06 pm

    19. 6-4. EWU has no answer. no one to match up. Best shot for them is to challenge and dig

  22. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 6:07 pm

EWU with the overpass but into the net. so instead of it being 16-15. it made it 17-14. Now 18-14. TO Eagles

  23. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 6:10 pm

some sloppy volleyball on both sides. Florida up 20-14. TO EWU

  24. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 6:11 pm

Think the EWU coaches are the most casual I’ve ever seen dressed. Shorts and slippers. Maybe good Scotts but still

  25. Cindy Luis September 10, 2015 6:14 pm

Florida 25-16. Gators had 18 service errors

  26. Maverick September 10, 2015 6:18 pm

    20. Maybe it is because EWU was voted to finish 8th in its conference and American is heavily favored to win its conference. Easier to believe American taking a set off Florida as opposed to EWU.

  27. Brandon September 10, 2015 6:20 pm

ONE thing that the Wahine have against florida is serving. Wahine serve tough and that could eliminate florida’s middle attack.

  28. Maverick September 10, 2015 6:31 pm

    27. Actually, UH isn’t a significantly superior serving team vs. UF. UH averages 9.8 service errors per match and 4.8 aces per match. UF averages 11.2 and 3.6, including tonite’smatch. Before tonite, UF averaged 9.75 and 3.75. UF just had an off night. I would say that over the long term, the two teams are similarly matched when it comes to serving.

  29. Brandon September 10, 2015 6:36 pm

Yeah we don’t get much aces, but we pressure teams. With Florida lacking in the serve receive and passing deparment, thats a big help.

  30. Brandon September 10, 2015 6:38 pm

Hope Huff and Mitchem get starts.

  31. Maverick September 10, 2015 6:40 pm

27, 28. Actually, I should have compared per set figures. Using that metric, UH averages 2.8 service errors and 1.4 aces per set. After tonite, UF averages 3.1 and 1.0. Before tonite, 2.7 and 1.1. My conclusion doesn’t change.

  32. Maverick September 10, 2015 6:41 pm

    29. I agree that the better passing team will win the match tomorrow night.
